They have tried jo. What about the host SA team in 2010? Let's cut them some slack, they do not have a great team and the expectations have been too high for them to live up to...

Nairaland / General / Re: Your Worst And Best Moment On Nairaland by Emiree: 9:36am On Dec 17, 2013
My best moments on Nairaland so far:

i. Apoti's Baby delivery thread updates - (https://www.nairaland.com/1544853/birth-baby-girl-realtime-updates)

brought out the best i have seen in most Nairalanders and gave me some hope that all is not lost afterall

ii. Baby Mama's thread on Family - (https://www.nairaland.com/1550867/making-love-raising-family)

Great thread, real experiences of the life of married people and an assurance that the challenges that come up in my marriage journey are not peculiar to me.

I read both threads from the first to the last post.

Worst moments - Every tribe bashing between the Yorubas and Ibos. Its mind boggling to me the constant need for these tribes to prove their superiority over the other and how fast these web fights just escalate. Can we all just let go of the past already, the war was led by a Northerner, and happened decades ago. What do we expect from the Tutsis and Hutus of Rwanda who went through far worse things during the genocide?

P.S: I'm Urhobo, my Yoruba in-laws refer to me as an omoIbo and the Ibos in-laws refer to me as an Oduduwa descendent. SMH...

Both the President and Prime Minister of Israel were recognised shortly after one of the speeches, the cameras even zoomed to their seats. watching through reuters so i dont know if you got the same view.
all4naija: Nonsense! Is that the reason why they refused to be represented at the momorial? That is puffiness, if you asked me!

CNN is the worst channel to watch when one needs to know whats going on, their stock in trade is putting their correspondents before the news, so narcissistic.
Agbgift: But CNN sabi make noise sha.

Crime / Re: Crude Face Of A Blackberry Thief!!!!!!!!! by Emiree: 10:45am On Jun 24, 2013
Like a wise man i know once said, if something is too good to be true, then it probably is. Why would you buy a phone worth 50k at a cheap price and not know that it's stolen? this is how we explain away the decay in our society, thinking we are smart for getting something at an unbelievable price. Abi RIM dey do sales wey we no dey hear about?

The guy freakin'stole the phone. And upon being chatted by the owner's friend on the fact that the phone was stolen he deleted the contact ASAP. that in itself is an admission of guilt. He is a thief plain and simple!!! Please front page. We need to disgrace these people.

Moderator,

Front Page Please,

These incidences are getting too much. I know the owner of the phone, we were all on alert to see the next step after confirming that the phone had been stolen. The silly guy is walking around now posting his family pictures on a stolen BB. He needs to be disgraces ASAP.
Career / Re: Any HSE Professionals In The House? by Emiree: 12:08am On Mar 17, 2013
Hello all,

Interesting thread. My sibling is a zoology graduate working presently as a customer service rep. She had earlier taken a few HSE courses at NISP Lagos. I am ready to pay for her to get a NEBOSH IGC or PI certification but i need to know what the prospects will be since she is based in lagos. And if there are weekend training centres in Lagos where she can go. Thanks.

Thank you all so much. I wonder why there would be baggage issues though. Didn't they load all the luggage on the flight, or were you connecting to another flight from Atlanta?

Travel / Are Lagos Atlanta Direct Flights Still Running? by Emiree: 10:47am On Jan 24, 2013
Hi all,

Please help a sister out. The Delta airline website is not fully updated for flight bookings from Nigeria, and their landline number is to going through. I'd like to know if anyone has taken a direct flight to atlanta from Lagos recently, and if it was up to par. I did Lagos New York via Arik air 2 years ago and the service was horrible all through, not even enough food to go round on a 10hr flight, plus really paper thin blankets. I wouldn't want to have a repeat of that and would appreciate comments please. Stay blessed!!!
