Politics / Re: Pat Utomi Criticises Akpabio And The Nigerian Senate For "Mocking The Poor" by emmaaj3691: 11:15am On Jul 28, 2023 |
Nothing is wrong with the remarks of the Senate President on the POOR. Some people just want to criticise for criticising sake or just decide to take sides without analysing the subject matter . It is just a matter of semantics. To ' allow the poor to breathe' put differently means taking measures to alleviate the condition of the needy in Nigeria. |
Politics / Re: CAN Disowns Fake Bishops At Shettima’s Unveiling by emmaaj3691: 7:38pm On Jul 20, 2022 |
The statements credited to CAN is laughable .There is no where in the scripture where this is supported. This must have been inspired by politicians themselves or the so called church leaders themselves looking for relevance. Most of the so called Christian leaders of today have departed from Christ like behaviours and now behaving like politicians. I think Christians should leave politics for politicians just as Jesus Christ would have done if he is physically alive today. There was no where in the Bible where Jesus Christ was biased against those who did not believe in him.rather , he continued to preach to them & admonished his disciples to do same. To achieve this, he even dined with sinners. How many of our pastors, bishops, Reverend fathers today defend the needy Christians in their churches let alone let alone visit them in their homes. The scripture also show that JC was 'apolitical' because his kingdom was not of this world. Some Christian leaders are using their platforms as political tools. If anything the stand of CAN will further polarise the country along religious lines. We shouldnot be deceived by this. Rather than concern itself on how people should make heaven CAN has turned itself to a voice for political opposition . The position in contest is the candidate of a public office not church leader. Individual members of the church should be free to decide . I recognise CAN or Christians made up of voters as stakeholder but it cannot & should not dictate to any political party or even its members . |
Religion / Re: Bishop Oyedepo: This Is The Most Corrupt Regime In The History Of Nigeria by emmaaj3691: 6:41am On Jun 14, 2022 |
No comparative data to show that Buhari regime is the most corrupt in Nigeria . How does ₦80b traced to acct gen compare with 2billion dollars traced to security adviser under Jonathan. Even though Am not defending any of them ; the Man of God needs to justify his statement ; otherwise people may classify it as political statement. On the ₦80 b ; it is true it happens under this regime. But the same regime was able to expose it and started to investigate it. To use this singular case to label the regime as most currupt is not fair statement that should be coming from a man of God . In Nigeria curruption is everywhere including his own church. I remember a resident pastor in living Faith Lafia that swindled members of the church with millions of ₦ in the name of processing form for world bank grant .rather than investigate him & make him refund the money ; the pastor was transfered to the eastern part of the country and no word came from the man of God because he wants people to believe no bad thing ever happen in the church. But if happens , it should not be announced. |
Politics / Re: Police Command Detains 5 Officers Attached To Burna Boy For Attempted Murder by emmaaj3691: 11:25am On Jun 12, 2022 |
This incidence has exposed the shortcomings in Nigeria police for deploying 5 policemen to guard a private individual when many communities are sacked by bandits with no single policeman around . This is not acceptable . 1 Like 1 Share |

5 policemen attached to an individual when many communities cannot boost of one. No wonder bandits, kidnappers, terrorists have taken over the country while some are shouting that the country is underpoliced. IGP needs to address this as a move to improve security in Nigeria. 5 Likes 1 Share |
Politics / Re: I Won In Kaduna On Muslim-Muslim Ticket - El-Rufai by emmaaj3691: 6:57pm On Jun 11, 2022 |
Whether Muslim / Muslim ticket or Christian / Christian ticket or Muslim,/ Christian ticket ; does it really really matter considering the enormity of the problem facing the country as if we are electing them for religious assignment. What should matter to us now is anyone with capacity to make the difference . There is no evidence to show that performance of elected officials ddepend on their religious affiliation particularly in a secular country like Nigeria. Leaders like Lee Yung of Singapore and Mandela of South Africa were known worldwide for their heroic deeds in turning their countries around. These leaders achieved the feats not because of their religious status. It is also on record how some elected officials due to their religious affiliation, have used state money to fund religious activities with little or no economic value to the state. Is this how we can make progress ? Similarly, I think our country should not consider religious status in determining who occupies elected offices. I therefore allign with the position of Kaduna State Governor on this matter even though he may be saying this for a different reason. The earlier we realise this ,the better for us. I rest my case |
Crime / Re: Crossdresser Arrested For Deceiving Man Who Paid Him For Sex In Delta (Video) by emmaaj3691: 9:38pm On Jun 10, 2022 |
I think the contract,(payment for s*c) by Nigeria law is tainted with illegality. Why will police intervene in the first instance ,,,? |

Health / Re: Man Commits Suicide In Kwara Over Inability To Make Love With Women by emmaaj3691: 2:20pm On Oct 29, 2021 |
Am saddened by this particularly as the deceased had made several unsuccessful suicide attempts in the past. My concern now is for others with burning issues that they should speak out and seek help rather resort to suicide . 2 Likes 1 Share |
