I'm hearing that some people have been called for interview. Folks claiming to have contacts in the towers, please the rest of us to find out what's happening.
NNPC has not called us yet. I think they are still involved in their promotion exercise. Once they are done with that, we should be called. So those called to Abj are their staff undergoing promotion exercise. Fear not and be not dismayed. Have a great Sunday

Yea, your CV is important... lets look at it from another angle... If you are an employer and u advertise a job for a trainee.. An applicant stated in his cv that he has a Phd. wont u term him as being over qualified ??
If you eventually grant the applicant a job, he will never feel fulfilled becos he is under-employed and would in the future be rebellious when he sees that he is being lead by people who are not academically his status.....

I agree but if u actually re-read the advert of 2012, u will observe that they never said anyone with anything more than MSC should not apply. Rather, the only max limit they gave at that time was not more than 29yrs. Since 2012 till now, almost 3years, people have advanced. They will bear that in mind too. The employment wasn't immediate. Well, I hv given my view. Anyone else can add sth

I disagree with you on the bolded.... Its a simple logic... The advert was on operator and graduate TRAINEE... not experience hire.. I believe criteria was clearly stated...

The declaration of credentials is done during documentation and not at interview

About one presenting his MSc after recruitment and not being used for appraisal is an opnion I partially disagree with.
Ur CV is wat is impt. What isn't found on ur CV u dnt hv. That is the truth. So I advice once again. Mk sure ur CV is wat u want to enter the job with. U do not need to declare ur credentials, do not mis interprete me, ur CV will be the pointer to wat u hv and do not forget, they will keep it wiv them

Hi guys,
This thread has been great with all the discussions flying in.
I was not be able to get the first SMS from Philips CO (because I was out of town), but I got the 2nd SMS when I came into town which says," Dear candidate, as a follow up to our previous SMS, we are putting in place required logistics for the interviews. We'll update you in due course. Pls bear with us"
Basing my conclusions on the 2nd SMS, I will say that I passed the test!!!
I have got some questions that I will appreciate this forum members to comment on:
I applied with my HND in 2010, was invited to the test in 2011, but was not able to attend.
Late 2013, I got the email to login into NNPC Recruitment website to update my details, before then I have completed my BSc. So I did update my details on their website. I participated in the test in December 6, 2010.
Just finished and got my MSc Degree in first week of February 2015.
As I hope for the Interview, will I be interviewing for my HND or BSc or MSc?
I will advise u to go with all your certificates. The truth is whatever certificate u hv but do not indicate u do at the time of the interview, will not count anymore after u are employed. In other words, if u have an MSC but do not indicate u do for whatever reasons u may hv, after u hv been employed and for instance it is time for appraisal, that MSC will not be recognised unless u take formal permission to go run another MSC program. So tell them all abt ur advancement and God will help us. I am currently running my doctorate, if I do not indicate it now, it will never be useful to me in the future in NNPC cos they will say they never knew of it. Good luck guys

Exactly bro Exactly. That's where the problem lies.

If u ask me, I will suggest u tell them the truth. The conditions given for applying were at least have a BSc with a 2:1 or a 2:2 with a good masters. That was the minimum. That is their minimum. The only maximum they gave was not more than 29 as at the time of applying. So u can further as much as u want. Their business to me is did u meet the minimum requirement. Look at this from this angle, for instance u applied when u were 28. It is like telling them u are still less than 29. Which obviously isn't true. Just be as sincere as possible. God will help us
