Her mother is Kris Jenner who is married to former Olympic decathlete and gold medalist and certainly no stranger to the world of cosmetic enhancement, Bruce Jenner.

An exotic blend of Armenian and Scottish heritage, she possesses a unique look that she has used to her advantage becoming a model, a fashion fixture and later on an actress and a hostess.

She’s no stranger to controversy either, given that she’s one of the celebrities out there with a famous s*x tape, but she’s also been on several television shows hosted by E! Entertainment, most notably ‘Keeping Up With The Kardashians’ which has already spawned more spin-offs than you might think.

For the first time as pontiff, Pope Francis celebrated Mass before a packed crowd at Sant’Anna Parish in Vatican City on Sunday morning.

He will also deliver his inaugural Angelus, or noon blessing, from his papal apartment window to the crowds gathered below in St. Peter’s Square.

In his first week as pontiff, Francis has enjoyed global fanfare as the first Latin American pope and the first Jesuit pope in modern times.

The official Mass to inaugurate Francis as the bishop of Rome — and leader of the world’s 1.2 billion Roman Catholics — will take place Tuesday.

Today’s emotion leads to tomorrow’s progress in our love lives. It all depends on how you are able to control yourself over any heartbreak.

Stop wondering what you have done wrong, or blaming yourself over and over again. What has happen has happened.

Remember that it was never meant to be, in the first place. Move on with your life, by letting off your past, because our bad past experience hinders tomorrow’s relationship progress.

It’s hard, it’s not easy to overcome, due to the feelings in many of us that are deep-rooted. Then, someone comes along and tells you to believe in yourself, or suggests it’s possible to simply wipe away memories of your past.

Things we still feel guilty for today, to a great extent, are the things you have done in the past, things that are responsible for how you see yourselves, as “low-value” today. Some people don’t like themselves because of what they were given from day one: their looks, their intelligence, their body shape.

But for many people, it comes from having felt like they let themselves down in the past. Maybe they didn’t approach someone they liked, and now, they feel like a coward. Maybe they made an awful decision that has shaped their entire life in a negative way forever.

Here are ways to overcome guilt in your relationship

• Focusing on someone worse than us is a crappy way to feel. The only guaranteed way to have a “positive present-view” of yourself is to build it from scratch. Because a positive self-view is created the same way trust in a relationship is created – by being built on, one small step at a time.

Do something today that’s slightly more than the YOU of yesterday. Or do you feel you’ve been shitty person, try to do something small today that’s the opposite of what a shitty person would do. Do something nice for someone, a small act of generosity.

• Show a moment of understanding: Prove to yourself that you are better than yesterday. You’ve been a wimp your whole life! Someone who cowers away from risk, or rejection! The antithesis of the hero? Fine.

Talk to someone today and tell them they look beautiful. Stick up for someone who’s being verbally bullied in a group. Set an example for someone you know looks up to you. Prove to yourself that you are stronger than yesterday.

• You’ve been lazy until now? Avoiding responsibility? Down-playing your dreams and ambitions to take the comfortable route? Fine. Go set up a call with someone who can help a vision you’ve had for a long time. Run for 10 minutes, clean your apartment, and prove to yourself that you are more determined than yesterday.

• Will you erase all of your negative memories in a day? No! But instead of papering over past experiences with mindless pump-up mantras, you’ll have shown yourself something better: progress. A brief moment where you showed that even if only for 10 minutes, you were the person you wanted to be.

In the interests of full disclosure, even doing that one thing will probably not be easy. But do it, you must. In that brief moment that you do something different to the old you, you’ll like yourself. And we all know what happens when we meet someone we like. We want to spend more time with them.

• When you do get to spend a moment with a version of you that you really like, you’re going to want to be around that part of you more. So, you’ll find ways to be that person again tomorrow.

It becomes a beautiful cycle that starts a new relationship with yourself. Not created – like a false friendship with a person we met the night before and told we loved in a drunken stupor – but built, one day at a time.

The criminal who just got out of jail can’t wipe away all of his crimes. But he has the ability to be better than before, one day at a time.

You can too! But please before you start, let yourself out of jail. It’s stopping you from starting, and you’re the only person who’s been keeping yourself there.

Akwa Ibom State Governor, Godswill Akpabio, and the Congress for Progressive Change on Thursday traded words over a Prado SUV gift given to artiste, Innocent Idibia aka Tuface and his wife, Annie, during their traditional engagement in Eket on March 8.

CPC spokesman, Mr. Rotimi Fashakin, had in a telephone interview with our correspondent described the gift as a waste of resources belonging to the people of the state.

He also criticised the governor’s lavish state dinner for the couple; his promise to send a 29-man delegation to the couple’s March 23 white wedding in Dubai; and his pledge to rehabilitate Eket-Ibeno Road ahead of the child dedication of Tuface and Annie.

But Akpabio fired back, saying “mischief-makers” and “enemies of the state” were working hard to discredit the governor’s “well-intentioned actions.”

The CPC spokesman said Akpabio would not have spent his personal resources in such a manner, noting that the gifts amounted to “financial recklessness.”

He said, “This type of financial recklessness from governors of oil-rich states is another reason militating against the passage of the Petroleum Industry Bill. The 10 per cent being proposed for the host communities is seen as superfluous if this type of unimaginable imprudence becomes second nature for some of these governors.

“This type of anti-people expenditure is only symptomatic of a leader that emerged through the subversion of the people’s will and desire.”

But in a statement by the Commissioner for Information, Mr. Aniekan Umana, in Uyo on Thursday, the governor denied giving two Prado SUVs to the couple, as reported in some papers and blogs (Saturday PUNCH not included).

The statement said the governor only approved one Prado gift for the couple.

The commissioner also stated that the governor promised to sponsor 20 persons and not 29 to Dubai for the wedding.

“Following spurious and false speculations in the social media concerning the wedding gift by Governor Godswill Akpabio to Mrs. Annie Innocent Idibia, née Macaulay, I wish to state as follows:

“That the Governor of Akwa Ibom State, Chief Godswill Akpabio, donated one Prado jeep to Mrs. Annie Innocent Idibia, nee Macaulay, a daughter of Akwa Ibom State and renowned artiste during her traditional marriage at Eket.

“That the state governor, as a token of support for the couple, promised to fund the travelling expenses (economy return tickets) for only 20 relatives of Mrs. Annie Macaulay-Idibia to Dubai, where the couple have chosen to wed.

“That looking carefully at the surrounding events in perspective, Mrs. Annie Idibia, nee Macaulay is a daughter of Akwa Ibom State and the gift of a Prado SUV from her governor is only a gesture of love and goodwill. Her resolve to stand by her husband on his journey right from his days of youthful beginnings to stardom even in the face of challenges is commendable and a true attribute of Akwa Ibom women.

“I wish to therefore urge members of the public to discountenance the misrepresentations made out of a well intentioned act of the governor.”

A Soyuz space capsule carrying an American astronaut and two Russian cosmonauts landed Saturday morning on the steppes of Kazakhstan, safely returning the three men to Earth after a 144-day mission to the International Space Station.

NASA’s Kevin Ford and Russians Oleg Novitsky and Yevgeny Tarelkin had been scheduled to return on Friday, but the landing was postponed by a day because of bad weather.

Live footage on NASA TV showed all three men smiling as they were helped out of the capsule and into reclining chairs to begin their acclimatization to Earth’s gravity.

A NASA TV commentator said only two of 12 search and rescue helicopters were allowed to land at the touchdown site because of heavy clouds and fog. So instead of being placed in an inflatable medical tent for checks, the astronauts were taken fairly quickly to one of the helicopters. The temperature at the time was well below freezing.

Space officials said the crew would be flown back to the staging site in Kazakhstan, a two-hour helicopter ride. From there, Ford would board a plane for Houston, Texas, and the Russians would be flown to Moscow.

Their four-hour return voyage began earlier Saturday when the Russian-made capsule undocked from the space station and began its slow drift away. The craft made a “flawless entry” back into the Earth’s atmosphere and performed a perfect upright landing at around 9:10 a.m. local time (0310gmt), the NASA commentator said.

Three other astronauts remain at the space station. The next three-man crew is scheduled to launch from the Baikonur cosmodrome at the end of the month.

Jordan Eagles creates images with copper, resin and animal blood.

“The fundamental issue underlying all my work is regeneration,” Mr. Eagles said one recent afternoon at Krause Gallery, 149 Orchard Street in Manhattan. “It’s taking something that is no longer alive and brings it back to life through art.”

“It is my belief that the blood has a certain power and energy to it,” said Mr. Eagles, 35, who lives in Manhattan. “So what we try to do is create a display of exhibitions where viewers can have an experience with material that they normally cannot have close contact with.”

Mr. Eagles, who gets his preserved blood from an animal slaughterhouse in New Jersey, began tinkering with it as a medium, as an art student in New York University in 1998. While working on a series of paintings depicting child birth, I tried to use red paint to symbolize blood.

“I was dripping red paint and it really was not doing anything. It was too flat, and it did not bring the images to life,” said Mr. Eagles.

“So instead of trying to be symbolic with the material, I went to a butcher in Chinatown and bought a couple of containers of blood. I returned to my bedroom and started dripping real blood and it invigorated the pictures immediately. There was something very alive about it.”

But in the course of a year, the blood on the painting began to change colors from red to brown, prompting him to experiment with ways to preserve the vibrant color of blood.

“Through years of trial and error, I started applying layers of transparent Plexiglas and then preserve it with layers of resin, allowing the high-gloss surface for the fluid.

I am not the first artist to use blood instead of paint,” said Mr. Eagles, “and my works are completely sealed and protected. There are no health risks.”

The Muslim world on Thursday expressed hopes for better ties with the Vatican under new Pope Francis, after years of strained relations with Benedict XVI who was seen as hostile to Islam.

The 57-member Organisation of Islamic Cooperation, and Al-Azhar, Sunni Islam’s highest seat of learning, came out with similar statements expressing this sentiment as they welcomed the Argentine’s election.

OIC chief Ekmeleddin Ihsanoglu, in a letter of congratulations, said he hoped “the relationship between Islam and Christianity will regain its cordiality and sincere friendship” under the new head of the Roman Catholic Church.

Ihsanoglu said that “over the last eight years, the OIC has called for and worked hard to propagate the idea of ‘historic reconciliation between Islam and Christianity’.”

“I would like at this historic moment to reiterate this call,” wrote the secretary general of the organisation based in the Saudi city of Jeddah.

Al-Azhar also called for “better relations” with the Vatican under the new pope following the suspension of dialogue after statements by Benedict XVI sparked Muslim anger.

“As soon as a new policy emerges, we will resume the dialogue with the Vatican which was suspended in early 2011,” Mahmud Azab, adviser for inter-faith affairs to Al-Azhar imam Ahmed al-Tayyeb, told AFP.

Benedict’s papacy was plagued by a series of public relations blunders that offended many from the start of his reign.

In 2006, the German pontiff sparked fury across the Muslim world when he recounted an anecdote in which the Muslim Prophet Mohammed was described as a warmonger who spread evil teachings by the sword.

Dialogue resumed in 2009, but was again severed after Benedict strongly called for protection of Christian minorities following a January 2011 suicide bombing at a church in Alexandria, Egypt’s second city.

At the time, the Cairo-based Al-Azhar said it would cut ties again with the Vatican over Benedict’s “repeated treatment of Islam in a negative way, and his claims that Christians and others are oppressed in the Middle East.”

According to Ali Bakr, an expert on Islamic affairs at the Al-Ahram Centre for Political and Strategic Studies, “a restoration of good ties between the Muslim world and the Vatican depends on the new pope’s personality, thinking and vision for reconciliation.”

In the wake of uprisings that erupted in 2011, Islamists have emerged as the most powerful political force in several countries across the Middle East and North Africa, exacerbating a feeling of insecurity among minority Christians.

Gospel singer Lanre Teriba, popularly known as Atorise was shot by armed robbers in South Africa on February 15 while there for a concert.

He was attacked immediately after the show by unknown gunmen who robbed him and shot him in the leg.

He was taken to Steve Biko Hospital in Pretoria South Africa where he had a successful surgery and was discharged recently.
