Politics / Re: Robbers Invade Canaanland by emmyray(m): 5:30pm On Feb 19, 2008
i have read many of the posts here and i am a bit concerned about the tone of some of my brothers here.i am a member of house on the rock but i really identify with the ministry of bishop david oyedepo. i work in a bank also, so i can say i am kind of affected by the events in canaanland.let me try to solve the problem of "why a bank in cannanland" with the following true story.last year,a friend of mine went to shiloh and got cash strapped, she called a colleague and we told her to look for someone with a bank in shiloh who has an atm card so we can send her money.kapish.if she didnt find someone, imagine what would have happened.there are a lot of institutions in nigeria with banks in them, why dnt we question them.banks set up in every nook and cranny so that their customers can access their cash whenever and whereever.its just called service delivery.that the armed robbers attacked the bank in otta, means they saw it as an easy target knowing security would be lax as many people feel no one would like to put himself in Gods bad books.even the vatican has its own bank,
finally, let no man joke with the anointing upon a man, scripture says, touch not my anointed and do my prophets no harm,
practical bible story for those of us tht are christians, david, having a chance to kill saul said, how can i touch the head of him whom the lord has anointed,
we all have freedom of expression but please be careful, remain blessed folks.

firsk bank might actually tell you that there are 4 batches but they might even have more batches cos they are in need of plenty of staff, they are really expanding and the need plenty staff so sometimes they just leave your name in a pool and use it when necessary, so there is still hope, miracles still happen, stay blessed
Jobs/Vacancies / Re: First Bank Pay by emmyray(m): 1:21pm On Dec 15, 2007
hey, no need to get insultive in this forum.i believe we are all here to share information, so for the person who asked this is it.firstbank gives unconfirmed staff a salary of about 60 k monthly and when u are confirmed it steps up to about 76 k all other things come as upfront at the beginning of the financial year.forget all the gboju gboju amount of 1.7 million, the most important thing is how much you actually take home at month end.there is a lot of virtual pay, i call it virtual pay cos so much of it is dependent on some factors.for instance, you have a medical allowance which can only be accessed if you fall ill, since Christ took away my infirmities, i dnt collect, or variable pay which depends on your branch performance as well as your appraisal for the financial year.all in all the have some sweet allowances that actually add up also to something substancial.and with the new review coming up and the figures we are hearing, its going to really be a step to the next level, infact it is already scaring staff cos we cant believe the figures until we see it.when the memo went out on the increase, the Md said we were going to raise the standard on staff welfare to compete with industry best practices as well as our contemporaries in the industry, so if you are looking for where to work, JOIN THE ELEPHANT NOW, stay blessed

Romance / Re: Most Romantic Way to Ask, "Will You Marry Me?" by emmyray(m): 5:22pm On May 31, 2006
when i am sure,as in when i am REALLY sure, I'd make her do a treasure hunt.I would begin with a note on her table or mine in the house. In it ,there'll be little puzzles bout what she is meant to find next, each note describes where to find the next one,and each note comes with a prize,(a chocolate bar,a perfume,a CD,A dress,, be creative), the final note could be a powerpoint presentation of all the good times we've had,(pictures, videos, our best songs, something short like sights and sounds on NTA)the presentation ends with a quote, something like "CANT YOU SEE HOW GOOD WE ARE TOGETHER"(be creative guys), then a pointer to the final note. There, i will leave the ring, enshrouded in whatever tent i have decided to create, depending on my girlfriends personality.

Career / Re: Should 2'2s Go To Hell Because They Ain't 1st Class Or 2'1? by emmyray(m): 4:48pm On May 31, 2006
dear sister, i feel your pain.i know what it is to see the dream job and cant apply cos yu came out with a 2.2, sometimes it is our fault that we didnt do well, sometimes it could have been cos of bad counselling.for me it was no counselling.when i went into school first year,it was only about passing exams.i later found out that it was not just passing exams but passing them with very good grades.i found out later that no matter how hard i worked,i was not going to come out with a 2.1,so i started investing in myself to make me more marketable.now i am CCNA certified, working on my CCNP.It gives me an edge sometimes, even with my colleagues who have 2.1.i advis you to look for all the things in your field that will make you more marketable and give you an edge.it could be masters,an IT certification,ICAN, a language course.anything that will put icing on your qualifications, work for it and get it.when next that employer sees your CV,he'll call you instead of the guy with 2.1,
but remember, it is not to him that willeth or runneth but,it is God that shows mercy.
all things are possible to them that believe.

YOU DONT KNOW THE AMOUNT OF LIVES YOU AFFECT WITH WHAT YOU DO.SOME OF US WISH WE COULD SEE YOU PERSONALLY AND HAND YOU A MEDAL BUT LIKE YOU MUST HAVE NOTICED I CAN ONLY PRAY THAT GOD REWARDS YOUR THOUGHTFULNESS.LOOK AT THE RESPONSE YOUR QUERY HAS PRODUCED AND THAT LET THAT BE A TESTIMONY OF HOW PEOPLE FEEL ABOUT YOU.I HAVE NOT GOTTEN A JOB YET,BUT THIS SITE GIVES ME HOPE ALL THE TIME.BE BLESSED BROTHER.
