The worst Nigerian scammer in the US is Tobechukwu Onwuhara

The worst Nigerian scammer in history is Nwude and Anajemba

These are yorubas abi

Think of the number of Nigerians convicted for fraud. These Igbo guys you mentioned are outstanding because of the huge amount invoved in their deals. The Yorubas are realy wrecking the British welfare system. I,m not saying the Ibos are not into this, but the Yorubas carry first. Laughsssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssss.

Education / Re: Canada To Deport 2 Nigerian Students by Empero67: 1:30am On Nov 05, 2012
In Nigeria, you beg when you break the law. You can as well invite your big uncles, locals chiefs and all the numerous stake holders to help you go free. You can as well get the lawyers to bribe the judges. This is why Nigeria is such a BIG MESS. In Canada and other civilized societies, it is not so. The law must be obeyed no matter who you are and where you come from.

I pity the little girls but the fact is that they violated the law and they have to pay the painful price. This is not the end of the world for them. One door closes, another one opens.

Please stop that

Yoruba is the MOST DEROGATORY TERM USED TO REFER TO ANY GROUP OF PEOPLE.

Aboki means my friend

Omo Igbo means an Igbo son or man

Inyamria means SOUTHERNERS (literal meaning)

Ofe mannu on the other hand means Oily soup

just as nigga means black slave

Which of these 4 is derogatory ?
It all depends on the context and situation these words are used. My Youruba lady calls me Okoro who can swallow stone without water. We laugh when we are ön "IT". It could result to anything if she uses it when there is tension. Cheers

We want the truth to come out. This is an objective contribution deviod of empty tribal rantings. However, the writer did not comment on the main topic of the book about Pa Awo's role in the starvation of innocent women and children. Every intelligent Igbo man knows that some of our own peoplle in leadership positions converted our war resources into their pockets. We know them and we also know that they ended up badly. The robbery is still going on as normal in Nigeria today.

Can the writer do us a favour and touch on the starvation issue so that this topic will be put to rest. My brothers on the South-west must learn that abuses and name-calling is not the way to get to the truth. Present your facts and people with common sence will compare and know who to believe. Cheers
Politics / Re: Aviation: Storm Over Ethnic Agenda by Empero67: 8:34pm On Oct 22, 2012
This report is an indictment on the so-called south-westerners. For years, all the general managers in the Aviation sector came from them. All the major contractors came from them . Majority of the ordinary workers came from them. And the Aviation Sector was a big mess and a danger to flying public due to "egunge'. Why are they crying for nothing now that change is coming.

We need performers in Nigeria now. If anybody feels unlawfully removed from his or her position, the law courts are there for redress. Those who claim to be the most educated people on earth but cannot producce results should be ashamed of themselves. Shoulting on the pages of newspapers and social media will not save them. Your incompetence is so glaring in everything you do. Now those who failed the Aviation sector for years are being removed and all you can do is attack the honourable minister.

I am not a fan of this lady or this government, but those who have failed to excel as managers must be shown the exit no matter where they come from.

Politics / Re: Chinua Achebe: Why Nigerians Hate Igbo by Empero67: 9:03pm On Oct 20, 2012
Achebe is known for his simple English. There is nothing that suggests in this book that Achebe sees the Igbos as superior to others. He is saying that the culture of indivdualism that is " I can do attitude" and dynamism created a people that can function very effectively in any environment and sometimes overtakes the same environment. This to me does not mean exposition of any superiority complex. This is a natural as well as historical fact.

It ia amazing how my Yoruba brothers can easily pick on this without considering the other aspect of Igbo which Achebe did not hide. To call your people noisy, dominating and hubris is not flattering. Yet there is truth here. Achebe is a historian. All you rabid ethnic bigots should go to sleep. We the Igbo know our strenghts and weaknesess and Achebe touched on both. We do not feel superior to anybody. We are just being the way Chukwu Okike made us.No apology. You take us or leave us but to label the Igbo with any complex is outright madness.

Social media is a library of some sorts. The way you project your views tells much about you. Those bearing Yoruba names and raining abuses on Achebe and Igbos must rethink. You can always make your point without insults. cheers

Coldfeet: Yesterday it was Elechi Amadi today it is Chinua Achebe! Why are the elderly of today not choosing their words with wisdom? Am IGBO by the way and I don't see myself as superior to others neither do I see others as superior to me! Things have indeed fallen apart.

Mr Igbo, There is nothing in Achebe's writings that suggest he sees the Igbo as superior. He simply stated that our culture and tradition made it possible for us to function more effectively in any environment . Why are people crying over a naked truth. I can see that the quality of learning in Nigeria is so low that people cannot interprete simple English. Is Achebe saying the Igbos are superior when at the same time he portrayed them as hubris, noisy and eager to show off. We know our short comings as a people. We also know our strenghts and it is our strenghts that some illogical contributors here are mistaken for superior complex. May I tell them that their likeness or hared or otherwise means nothing to the Igbos. The Igbos can surely do with and without their love.I say this with all sence of modesty and respect for those with concience and regard for historical facts. Facts are sacred. Truth is bitter but it must be told. Nigeria is a big mess today because we do not appreciate the truth when it comes from people we do not agree with.
Family / Re: 10 Reasons Not To Get A Divorce - Read & Have A Rethink by Empero67: 7:28pm On Oct 19, 2012
I do not agree with the writer. When a relationship is soured it affects the children even more. If the father is not happy he will not be able to do his best. When two people caannot get along any more, it is over and no hypocrisy by way of holiness and religious injunctions can change it. After divorce, a responsible father will be able to look after his children from a happier environment and this will rob on the children. When daddy is happy, everybody is happy. Distance is not a barrier. Besides, the concept of marriage is changing like other institutions in the society. Yes the pastors will do their job but the man or woman will not be nasty to each other when the pastor is around.

So Awo was ready to opt out of Nigeria if the Igbo´s seced? your Awo could not stay in a Nigeria without the Igbo´s.What a shame! If the east is part of Nigeria it´s a deal, but if they are out,the yorubas are out too.My question is,must we all stay in one Nigeria?

Your conditional clause theory did not add up. Awo participated in the war. He was behind the deliberate starvation of civilians. You could have a point if Awo and the Yorubas had stayed away and see if Igbos will pull out of the mess called Nigeria. For your information , Igbos are no failures by any standard in all aspect of human endeavours. This is a place for exchange of ideas . A little civility is needed from both sides. cheers

Awolowo's betrayal is already in the history book before this exposure by one of his followers. We Igbos are very open. We still marry Yorubas and they love us. We share hostels with them in the universities and we live in their houses in Lagos. The average Yoruba has nothing to do with Awolowo's inordinate ambition for power. I believe that Nigeria will be stronger if Igbos and Yorubas come together.Name-calling belongs to the people who who put Nigeria where we are today like the old fool masquarading as Northern leader. The game is over for the looters from the north who cannot do a single for their people. The time when ministers for Finance, petroleum. foreign affairs, internal affairs, all come fro the north is over forever. Igbo Kwenu. We are great survivers. We shall get back to our position soon.
