cman77: @emuejev.let me start 4rm d issue abt cancer, tins lyk dat happen,in some families everybody ignorantly die of cancer.it has spiritual undertone.ur mon died of cancer,ur dad nw is diagnosed of cancer,my broda pls help ursef nd ur dad,der is an evil pattern in your family, blieve it or not.Try to find ur way to 'mountain of fire and miracles ministries' so u can run tru der deliverance prayers.so dat u also nd ur wife, children, siblins, etc won't die of d disease.meanwhile take ur dad der. On d issue of movin bak to nigeria,u can do dat since dat will give u happiness.yes u can get a good job,but it mite nt come so soon, however,it will come, try nd make connections.hw abt startin ur own biz here in nigeria.nigeria is a country filled wif opportunities.wish u d very best.

Hmm. I don't believe so.
Death is guaranteed...and looking for miracles is what got us this point.
Rather than going to the doctors early - my folks opted for MFM and the likes.
There is no evil pattern in my family. I reject that.

Thanks for your advice on starting a business. I have to look for paid employment though before I can start any business.

Career / I Want To Move Back From The UK - Please Help by Emuejev: 9:41pm On Nov 21, 2013
Hey Ya'll,

I moved to the UK about 5 years ago, for school. Biggest mistake of my life. My entire family is back in Nigeria and life has changed so much since 2008. I've grown up, working in a good company but I can't say I don' miss my family and friends as I have no support system here.

My mom passed away from cancer and now my father has been diagnosed with cancer and I haven't been there for him, which hurts more than I could ever put into words. Anyway, the only reason I am still in the UK is because of my dad. I do miss home, so much. I miss my family and I just miss feeling normal not an immigrant or someone here to steal benefits( which I don't claim or ever will) But I don't know if I should move back or not. Will I be any happier? Part of me wishes I never came out here, but the other part is happy I did because of the people i've met, the friends I've made... but I guess as I get older I want to be with my family more and more.

I still have dreams and aspirations of becoming "some body" and I guess that's the main reason I moved out here... but I don't want to miss my dad's life like I missed my mom... I'm insanely torn both ways.. please can anyone give me any advice? On moving back and job opportunities/ recruiters that can help.
I have 6 years financial services experience and finance academic background.

Appreciate all your comments/ feedback.
Religion / Re: Evangelism In Public Buses Is Madness by Emuejev: 11:41pm On Nov 19, 2011

I just hope you would have your own personalized parachute, because u would not only receive a miraculous slap from me if u are unlucky to be on same flight with me, but you would also be thrown from 1500 feet above, hopefully u can preach in the sky, after all the sky is also a public place.

Omg - This was so funny - Put a big smile on my face,

Spread the Gospel, but be considerate of people, and to those who say - Don't travel by public transport - That is quite stupid to say, Noone should be forced to listen or judged for not listening because Yes, when you are in these said buses, and you decide to exercise the Right not to listen and make a phone call, these preachers sometimes start abusing you and telling you to switch off your phone.

So yes Stop ramming down your version of your Christ and salvation down others throats, respect public spaces, and most importantly Ecc 3:3, there is a time for everything. Freedom of speech ko, freedom ni - Go and preach in a Saudi Arabia bus and you will definitely be punished.
Health / Re: Nigerian Nurse's Licence Withdrawn In Uk For Calling On Jesus For Help! by Emuejev: 6:35pm On Nov 07, 2011
@Andrew - Not true- Yes in the UK, being black is not the best thing- but then again being a stand-out race [with bad rap- which is caused by people like the negligent nurses] is always going to be different. So yes the race card is so year 2000. Get over that - if you do a great job at your career, then you shouldn't need to play any race cards or even the religion card. Yes we are Christians, great- but put yourself in the shoes of that kid's parents shoes. Having 2 fragile babies who need round the clock care, I bet they cannot even sleep at night out of worry, and the nurse employed to make your lives easier, panics and starts chanting Jesus. How would you feel? No parent should witness such agony from the professionals they depend upon. This is not about africans, or even Christianity, if any medical professional panics at a time of life and death- Their license shouldn't only be taken away- They should be arrested for endangering the lives of others due to negligence. After all if you are working in a bank sef, and you post balances to wrong accounts- you are sometimes fired, talk more of life and death situations.SMH

Point is- We must learn to take responsibility for our actions- Doctors and nurses shouldn't be allowed to depend on religion or even recommend patients pray about their crisis - that job is for the pastors, imams, No wonder Nigeria doesn't progress- afterall someday God will come give us electricity, change the hearts of our leaders [ Dream on], cut down cultism, terrorism, robbery, corruption, unemployment, bad roads, etc.
Pray in your homes and hearts, don't force your religion on others.
End of rant

Business / Re: Do 80% Of Nigerians Truly Live On Less Than $2? by Emuejev: 12:24am On Nov 04, 2011
Ok, Just a quick point.

Nigerians depend a lot on Uncles and Aunties- and in a way wealth is dispersed. I know some of you will be like--No-It ain't true but it is.

How many so called people can boast of never begged or asked their wealthy relatives for money or help raising their kids?

How many househelps pay for their lodging and school fees?

How many people beg others to recharge their cell phones or is even gifted this cell phones by others?

How many times in a year do the wealthy go to their village and gift the less fortunate with food and clothing or even money?

Have any of you ever visited a politician or a well-to do person in Nigeria? If you have then you can attest to the fact that they are surrounded by all manners of village people or so called 'my broda or sista' asking for money or something.

Wealth is dispersed in Nigeria. Yes its not everyday this happens, but it does happen and If anyone of you have visited the UK or US- Noone gives you a penny whether you are their kid or brother, everyman for themselves and they obviously think that is how africa works and conducts their research in that manner.

To answer the question of why can't we do our own research- Its simple- there is no data and research costs money. Tell me how easy it is to get lets say Dangote's 10 year financial reports [ which is supposed to be a readily available document]? Nearly impossible. We have to accept our own limitations, we can't afford to spend money conducting research when we have pressing issues, Afterall person never chop bellyful, na to dey answer questionnaire, smh.

This is my two cents
Career / Share Your Interview Experience And What Works For You by Emuejev: 1:26pm On Feb 02, 2011
I know people are looking for jobs but I thought it might be helpful if we all shared our interview experiences and statements that always seem to work in any of our interviews,

Mine might sound cheesy but it does the trick.

Why KPMG?
[Truth is because none of the other companies wanted me and I failed all my numerical tests, lol],
anyways no matter the company this always works

Mr Huh?, the question is not why KPMG. The real question is why would any ambitious young woman want to go anywhere else?It is the top 3 biggest accounting firm in the world, it has a great reputation it is not only committed to breaking strides in the professional world, it is committed to Nigeria's financial growth, and there are opportunities in almost every area of the firm. It is not a firm, it is a growth machine and ultimately I really want to work with people I look up to. When I see you, I want to be you and KPMG gives me a shot at it.

2- I always also say something like I am not here because I am looking for a job to pay the bills, I am here because I want a career.

Hope this helps, xx

Romance / Re: My Religion Crisis by Emuejev: 6:22pm On Oct 20, 2008
Well if we do get married, the kids wud be his.
Muslims arent unbelievers, they just dont believe in everything Christians do. Am a very open person to religion, my prev bf was a grail messenger.
Even for Christians, love can fade away and children can get confused, but for an inter marriage the risk of confusion might be high. am not confused about him, just wondered how my folks wud react and all that. Wat is the possibility of finding a 10/10 elsewhere. It is tiring bein in the world of dating
Romance / Re: My Religion Crisis by Emuejev: 2:16pm On Oct 20, 2008
Well i am not so into the whole religion thing, grew up in a family where we are literally forced to do all night all the time, anyways we agreed on him having his children to his own religion, but all the same it still sucks that one of my most compatible bfs is muslim.
