Crime / Re: Blasphemy: What Is The Position Of The Law? by EmZsquare: 8:23am On May 18, 2022 |
athorello: Sincerely I don't accept what happened to her but believe me, stuffs like this might still happen if we ignore the genesis of this one. It is always one Christian saying some derogatory remark about Islam/Muslim before all these acts will surface. Why can't the Christians educate each other more on not insulting other beliefs, it's as simple as that. You won't see Muslims insulting Jesus (Peace be upon him) or the churches, we argue on the facts concerning religion but won't even insult because we believe everyone has right to his belief. I've been in some WhatsApp groups too. People post things that are not relevant to the basis of such groups and it's normal, the best is one should just avoid it. Like you said "barbaric" , when you find yourself in such situation, why instigating then in negative ways. Let's learn to tolerate/have a discussion without using insulting or derogatory words/remarks. |

Ojuntana: Logically I'll say, she first insulted me by calling me names. The reason for her stand was because of my religion which indirectly means she was insulting my religion. Insulting my religion is insulting the Prophet too. But during his life time, he won hearts of those who insulted him with his compassion and tolerance. Today I said we're friends and talk sometimes and that's because I chose tolerance over retaliation and not every soul can do this. |

Mario619: Did my NYSC in Anambra and I was even called terrorist, Boko Haram right to my face but I smiled and concluded that the genesis of such is ignorance. Got close to them and explained few things to some of them and we are good friends today. But our problem has always been generalizing issues and closing our eyes to truth. Truth be told, why insult the prophet of a religion when you can be yourself and stay off their activities. When you refuse to respect your fellow man how do you want to be respect by such man. |

NaijaDonCast: This shows how ignorant you are. I'll just give you a few words to do your research if you want to learn. Optics and use of camera, coffee, algebra, the University system, soap that you know today, surgical instruments, bank cheque, etc. Instead of wasting your borrowed data here, use it to improve on your knowledge and stop giving comments that'll make you so foolish and uneducated. Back to main reason, the end result is unfortunate because a life is lost but such act has been happening and might happen in the future because collectively we've decided to shy from the truth and that is religious tolerance. Even the list of few incidents above always came with one provocation or the other and this is something we have to educate ourselves not to propagate. There's a difference between arguing about someone's existence and insulting someone's existence. Muslims always argue that Jesus is not God or son of god but a devine being among humans and we respect his existence but christians always use any means to insult Islam, prophet (saw) and/or muslims which is the main reason for this act. Embracing religious tolerance and minding your business or even letting go when slightly provoked will stop this kind of act. 1 Like |

iLearner: Saying Javascript is not a programming language in this context will mostly go on performance issues. While you can almost use Javascript to write a few things other programming languages can do, It also used to be true that scripting languages were generally interpreted at runtime instead of compiled ahead of time, leading to poor performance compared to compiled code that could be optimized at compile time. Here are some flaws of JavaScript : - It s not typed - You can't do classes and inheritance with it. Ho... sorry, you can, there are even twenty ways of doing it... and it's the problem. Code using another code convention is painful to read. - It is slow / it does not compile If JavaScript is a programming language, then everything is too; Bash, SQL, XSL, doing a query on Google, e.t.c. Logically, a man can marry a USA citizen and be given the USA nationality through the marriage. In as much as he's a USA citizen, he's still not q "real" citizen. 2 Likes |

Programming / Re: Why Do Some Developers Look Down On Other Developers by EmZsquare: 8:06am On Jul 05, 2020 |
Developers looking down on others can be a personal thing because what matters to a client is if the developer delivers which any Developer good at PHP or Python-django can do easily. Though a Django Developer may feel himself because of the advantages packed with it. Advantages like django is in python code as such can be used on long term project as compared to PHP, PHP follows a classic approach where Python has more strict identification enforcements. Hence Django becomes the best, though PHP is mainly for web purpose but python is for general purpose and python-django development can be done offline and online, python syntax makes the django codes more readable and easy to understand, debugging is an issue you can avoid as a developer and here python has more than enough tools for debugging as compared to classic PHP. In general, Django is better for web development but as for a Developer looking down on another, that's a personal thing as both do the same work. Using a private jet to fly to UK and a commercial plane for the same reason has no much difference. The destination is UK which both will achieve but the comfort can be compared, see the private jet as django 2 Likes |

progeek37: Every programming language has its strength and weaknesses but....before one decides to learn a particular language at least there must be a motivation or a particular niche that the person wants to apply that knowledge among many. Based on the context so far I guess this post is about learning the basics of programming and if it is I'll always suggest PYTHON. Apart from its simplicity and less lines of codes, it's readability is exceptional compared to other languages as well as the online community. Though interpreted, it is still a beginner friendly programming language to learn. I've studied Python, C, Java, PHP, Dart, Javascript (though not considered a programming language) and C++ and I'll always say Python is the best choice as a beginner. Back on one's niche....you want to be a developer, hacker, e.t.c., each of these languages have their strength in any fields and you can even combine two or more to achieve your goal. Like my teacher will always advice....it's not about knowing 5 languages but mastering one language is the best. Python can be used for almost anything a programming language can be used for in today's world. Bonus For Developers in Mobile App, instead of learning Java/kotlin, c++, c#, swift, e.t.c., you can learn Dart and develop a cross-platform Mobile App (Dart and Flutter). Remember the choice is what gives you satisfaction. No one is perfect. 1 Like |
