Just after Apple event held yesterday, I know some Nigerians are already lining up to pre-order. On the other hand, some will NEVER buy it. Why will you buy it, or why don't you want to? ![]() 1 Like |

It’s less than a week to Apple’s event in California where she will announce a new set of three iPhones: iPhone XS, iPhone XS Max, and iPhone Xr. How will iPhone X Vs iPhone XS fair? According to leaks, the iPhone XS and XS Max will follow the usual annual Apple’s rhythm of unveiling upgrades to the existing devices. The iPhone XR, however, is expected to be a budget phone. These names are still speculation. Performance wise, how will the new iPhones serve as upgrades for the existing devices? IPHONE X VS IPHONE XS NAMING Could it be iPhone XS? Apple marked her tenth year anniversary last year, in Roman numerals, that’s ‘X’. If it was named iPhone X because of this, does iPhone ‘XS’ sound eleventh? Apple may name the new iPhones iPhone 9 since last year was the iPhone 8. Similarly, it could be iPhone XS or X+, if it were to follow the iPhone X naming. According to 9to5Mac, the device will be called “iPhone XS”. IPHONE X VS IPHONE XS COLOR In terms of color, iPhone XS may not align with iPhone X. Apple leaked the gold color of iPhone X, this may mean that the iPhone XS will come in gold color. Source: https://icliquestore.com/iphone-x-vs-iphone-xs-expectation/ |

Most Apple fans are waiting for the unveiling of a number of new iPhone models at Apple’s annual launch event on September 12, 2018, in California. This may be the biggest announcement Apple has ever made as a result of huge expectations from fans. When the event begins, there may be three iPhones with different designs and screens. The Airpower charging pad, a new Apple watch, and MacBook may also be launched. I am excited! Are you? You should be if you’re an iPhone fan. In the past, Apple often unveils a major upgrade every year but will it still be the same rhythm this year? SPECULATIONS The devices may have a different iOS operating system. They may just be the same set of devices in more colors. The naming convention may continue perhaps, iPhone Z? ![]() Well, according to leak, Matthew Field said one of the new iPhone models is a 6.5-inch device named iPhone XS Max. We could also see the launch of a 5.9-inch model called iPhone XS, and a 6.1-inch budget model named iPhone Xr. Bloomberg opines that Apple’s new iPhone models will embrace iPhone X’s design with new colors and bigger screens. They believe the devices will boast a wider range of prices, features, and sizes to increase their appeal to people. According to 9to5mac, Apple watch may see a series 4 generation watch with 384 x 480 resolution and apps capable of showing more content. CONCLUSION ON NEW IPHONE MODELS Well, these are speculations, we must wait till September 12 to validate or invalidate our hopes. ![]() Source: https://icliquestore.com/apple-unveil-new-iphone-models-sept-12/ |

I am going to get real for a moment. I am a Nigerian who has never used an iPhone ![]() Steve Jobs, an American entrepreneur and business magnate, founded iPhones. He was the co-founder and CEO of Apple Inc. A BRIEF HISTORY OF IPHONES iPhone began when Steve Jobs requested that Apple engineers research touchscreen gadgets. In 2007, Jobs announced the iPhone at the mac world convention. It received large media attention and most people started to wait for it. In June 2007, the wait was over and the first iPhone surfaced. Apple also announced at the Worldwide Developers’ conference that it would support third-party applications. At first, the iPhone sold only with AT&T carrier due to an agreement between both companies. This agreement resulted in several court cases but was later resolved with some fine. In July 2007, Apple paid approximately $1 million to Micheal Kovatch for the iPhone.com domain name. The domain name now redirects to IS THE IPHONE AN EXQUISITE DEVICE? Apple’s design and innovation team appear matchless. Their devices are often elegant and exquisite, no doubt. Most reviews are usually overwhelming. It is like using the future of smartphones today. –Matthew Panzarino Recently, Apple became the first trillion dollar company in the world beating Amazon. The company hits a $1trn market capitalization 42 years after they were founded. So if you ask me, I will always tell you iPhones are elegant and exquisite. BUT WHY DO SOME NIGERIANS HATE IPHONES STILL? 1. INABILITY TO TWEAK Some Nigerians want to have control over their devices. They want to do whatever they think of and wish for with their device. So here you may ask me…why not jailbreak your iPhone then? These set of people want to achieve their thoughts without having to void the warranty on their devices. 2. THE HIGH PRICE Recently, some guys were discussing iPhone merits and demerits. One of them said iPhones are overpriced. “Why must I get a device for approximately ₦500,000 when I can get something with similar specifications at a much cheaper rate?” –He said. I agree with him on this. That price is outrageous and unnecessarily expensive for an average Nigerian. 3. HER PATENTS Some tech-savvy Nigerians hate Apple because of her tendency to patent almost everything. They patented round shaped display of app icons, natural direction of scroll, etc. However, Apple allows the usage of some of her patented features for a fee but not all. Well, this is simply a good business strategy. 4. THE CLOSED SYSTEM iPhones are still not as popularly used in Nigeria as some other part of the world. Think Nigeria, think Android and torchlight phones. Nigerians want to be able to relate to other devices like Android and Microsoft. A perfect example is the Apple watch. You can’t use it without an iPhone. Another example is when you have a smart TV of any brand other than Apple, you can’t stream from your iPhone to the TV. These set of Nigerians hate iPhones for these reasons. Source: https://icliquestore.com/nigerians-hate-iphones/ 1 Like |

I've been doing e-commerce for sometime now but I just got scammed by this guy. He specializes in Lagos door-to-door pickup and delivery. How I got his contact I went to CVM in Ikeja, Lagos to collect my stock a while back and I have an order to deliver within Lagos so I needed a Lagos courier. I asked around at CVM but to no avail. After sometime, one guy came to collect his stock too and luckily, he gave me PDM Shipping's (Philip Emmanuel Ovat) contact when I asked him. That's how we started doing business. The smooth business Business was smooth for about 4 orders. They already made payments and just delivery is left. He delivered these orders and this made me feel he's a trustworthy person...until he scammed me. How he scammed me On April 20th and 21st, I had 3 orders to be delivered on the 21st, they are all cash on delivery orders. So I contacted him and he agreed to deliver and collect the cash. The cash was NGN10,000 each (NGN30k total) and he billed me NGN3500 for shipping. So we agreed that he will remove his cash and send me the rest. He delivered the orders, collected the money and told me he will send the cash on Monday. That day was a Saturday. And I agreed. On Monday, April 24th, I chatted him and the first thing he told me was hope you have received your cash. But I haven't, so I told him. Then he said he is in Lasma's office and he'll call me back. I didn't hear from him till evening so I chatted him up again and he started giving another excuse. Long story cut short, he stopped picking my calls or responding to my whatsapp chat since April 28th. Up till now, there is no show for my NGN26,500. Please don't fall his victim. Screenshots of whatsapp chats coming up shortly. I even told him I will get him arrested, yet, no response. |

Let me ask you a question. How long do you wish to stay in the world? Did I hear you say “above 30 for sure”? Oh, yes definitely. So do I. (one of the facts) Nevertheless, can I be straight up with you? Age is just a number! Nothing more! It’s an “arithmetic progression” of 365 days to add one. Do you understand me yet? I mean age is not a determining factor of who you are–what you’ve achieved, how matured you’ve become or how much of life experience you’ve gained. But age can only be worthwhile with all these factors. A lot ought to be embedded in the “age factor”. Hence, the cause for a long list of expectations (by people from you) as your age increases. For example, most people expect a 2-year-old baby to communicate just as most expect a 14-year-old to be ready for high-school. What is expected of a 30-year-old? While walking along the road, the blockbuster thought came. You think it’d make your business grow if employed. You were on your bed lying, and this thought just hit your head. You think that is really what your business needs. And then you slept off. You know what? All those ideas will always come, go, and end up dead! Why? Because you’re only thinking of them. You’re not doing these two things: 1. You’re not writing down your ideas 2. You’re not implementing them Often times while going about our day to day activities ideas just flash in our head. We’d think it out; draw them as they should be all in our brain. But alas! Those thoughts will afterwards end up in the bin. Ideas we think about are in our head. They will never see the day’s light without pulling them free. You may think about one thousand ideas at a time, but all will amount to zero without the effort to scribble them down. However, just writing down our ideas is not also enough. Ideas can last for 100 years in a book without it adding any meaning to your business. The elixir to not killing your ideas is to implement them asynchronously. Failing to implement your written ideas is more like not thinking of them at all. Ideas are powerful. Joseph Stalin quoted “ideas are more powerful than you. We would not let our enemies have guns, why should we let them have ideas.” I can’t agree less. This abstract entity can change many things. And as they’re so useful, they cannot change things without taking them into use. They are like stagnant water. When extracted they can be used for various things. And when it is left, it’ll be of no use and dry up. That’s why Ambedkar also said “men are mortal. So are ideas. An idea needs propagation as much as a plant needs watering. Otherwise both will wither and die.” You can make your ideas worthwhile with these 5 ways: 1. Make sure you have a note and pen with you most times. This can also be eased with your phone. Have a writing app at hand. 2. Make sure to always write down your ideas as they keep coming. Never procrastinate. 3. Classify them into short and long term ideas. 4. Access your short term ideas every week and carry out all implementation it needs. 5. Access your long term ideas promptly and ensure a step by step ways of implementing them. With these, you’re sure to grow your business and transcend the ordinary level. Remember also that ideas may come from friend, families, and associates. Weigh them and think on them. Importantly make sure to write them down as well. And finally implement them as and when due. So today, promise yourself that those flowing ideas in your head will not go as they came. Make sure they’re worthwhile, useful and contributing. Maybe that idea is the long sought breakthrough your business needs. So never waste them any longer! What else kill those ideas in you? Share them in the comments. Source: http://www.preneurdigest.com/why-your-ideas-will-end-up-dead/ |
