They are still inviting July and have not finished. August invitation would hopefully start in September.

Please I want to confirm this. Are you sure that any one who has a PhD admission automatically qualifies for category A, because I didn’t see that stated on the German embassy page.

Once you are admitted for PhD, it is automatically Category A. But try and push for scholarship once your admission letter is issued. You don't have any problem at all. Your visa might be out within two weeks after interview.
