A retired military general, Brig.-Gen. Ayodele Ojo, has accused the Peoples Democratic Party of trying to cause instability in the country for President Muhammadu Buhari-led government.
Ojo told Punch that the action of the PDP senators to allow Ike Ekweremadu to emerge as the Deputy Senate President in a chamber controlled by the All Progressives Congress was aimed at destabilising or ambushing the new administration.                      
Ojo said, “I think that is not the best way to play the role of opposition. The opposition should be credible and constructive. As for the distinguished Senator Ekweremadu, he should have declined his nomination on moral grounds. What new innovation or added value is he bringing to that office?
To my mind, PDP should have allowed the new government to successfully transit instead of deliberately promoting instability or trying to ambush it even before it takes off.

lynch mob has beaten a guru to death in India after he allegedly beheaded a five-year-old boy as part of a grisly sacrifice to the Hindu god of death.
Nanu Mirdha, who was in his 30s, had his hands tied and was attacked after the blood-soaked body of Sajan Bag was found inside his prayer room in Rangapara Tea Estate, Assam.                                               
Locals at the tea estate said Mirdha was a sorcerer and had 'sacrificed' the boy during his prayers - or puja - towards Kali, the Hindu goddess of death.
They accused Mirdha of forcing Sajan inside his home before attacking him. The boy's severed head was found beside his body.
Once the villagers realised what had happened, the holy man was lynched and his house was burned down before police could arrive.

According to a story by Tribune, the Majority Leader of the Zamfara State assembly, Alhaji Salisu Musa Tsafe, has been impeached, following his involvement in a fight with the state governor’s driver, over a lady, in public. Can you beat that? 
Reading the outcome of the committee’s findings, chairman of the committee, Alhaji Isah Abdul-Mumuni told the House that the duo were invited to testify, including other witnesses.        
He said the committee established the fact that both the lawmaker and the governor’s driver fought over the lady in question.
The committee which decribed the incident as embarrassing not just to their persons but the entire state, recommended that, Salisu Musa Tsafe be impeached as the House Majority Leader and also be suspended from the business of the state legislation till the end of this legislative period.
The committee further recommended that the governor’s senior driver, Malam Idris, be replaced with another person, even as it declared that henceforth, any person who would become a driver to the state governor, his deputy, state Chief Judge and all other important government functionaries in the state, must undergo security screening to avert such embarrassing moment.

A 27-year-old woman was pulled over early morning due to a speeding violation. When Natasha Brown acted in a very suspicious manner officers decided to search her vehicle where they discovered $60,000 in cash.
When officers asked her why she had such a large amount of money she replied: “I’m getting an abortion.” She was taken into custody for further questioning.
She told Baton Rouge investigators that the money was rightfully hers. Investigators asked her for employment information and she told investigators she had no job that she was a “self-employed entrepreneur” and then told investigators she had multiple boyfriends and that’s how she earned her money.
Natasha Brown said: “I have at least 54 current boyfriends and after 3 weeks of unprotected sex I tell them I’m pregnant and not ready for a baby. I then ask them for abortion money.”

A German man who had his penis enlarged with silicone injections claims it now weighs half a stone.
He said the penis is so large that there is no physical increase when fully erect because of the silicone.

Curiously, the silicone implants provide no physical pleasure and actually make sex much more difficult for him - although it is not impossible.

I really do not know why this harrassment continues...I really also do not know that when a story breaks only one person is entitled to it.. LMAO!
Let me state it here now that when the above referred Blogger started blogging she USED most of my stories ,my original material from Encomium magazine..she would lift it and not give me credit except the ones that would bring her trouble would she boldly attach my name.
i never complained or sued.

Do you know your child especially the little ones between ages of 5 - 12 kind of walk in your shoes or follow after your ways and actions? Ok I can see some raised eyebrows, relax and just continue reading. I will give you some personal experiences to buttress this interesting fact I recently figured out. I visited a family  some time back and the kind of behaviour I  saw the mum and the eldest sister exhibiting was appalling. Out of respect for them because I am definitely a baby if you were to compare my age with that of the eldest sister's.  I couldn't say anything to make them see reason that what they were doing was wrong.
Fast forward to a few weeks, I and the youngest child of about 8 years were alone in the house when she did exactly the same thing I could barely stand the mum and eldest sister do in front of me 'cos I did try to talk the eldest sis out of it one time, but she told me she couldn't stop because it was already a part of her. Hmmn... the moment I saw the youngest sis do it, all hell broke loose inside of me..hehe. All the pent up anger at sis and mum, I poured it on  the little girl , I shouted at her so much that I  felt so bad after, but please don't blame me 'cos may be if you were in my shoes you will do same or even worse. Quickly I called her and apologised to her. Then it dawned on me that this little girl just did what I normally see her mum and sister do. I quietly asked her if she knew that what she did was wrong and she answered with a "no ma". I told her it was wrong of her to do that and made her promise not to do it again.

Am sure that little girl must have had asked herself this question, 'if it is wrong, then why is mum n sis doing it'?. We live in a world where parents never seem to care much about their wards anymore except to know if they have eaten?. Don't you think there is more to parenting than that? This little lads to the best of their knowledge feel mum should be doing the right thing all the time and they tread the same path as their parents most of the time.

This is a wake up call to we all, parents and adults alike, take time out to think things through especially your way of life and it's effect on the 'still - growing - learning' child. It is never too late to make things right 'cos as the saying goes, it is not over until it is over!.

1).   Eat good and healthy food
 The average Nigerian family/ home will eat 'eba' five times a week, beans on Saturday and rice on Sunday. It is good for us to map out a balanced diet table for the week consisting of vitamins, proteins, carbohydrates and of course with supplements of fruits. You should try as much as possible to cut down the intake of processed food and food high in calories. Go organic!


2).   Exercise
Because of the high cost of enrolling with a gym in Nigeria, most Nigerians find it hard to exercise. Well good news!, exercising does not only have to be inside the four walls of a gym, walking / jogging is a form of exercise. You can make it a point of duty to exercise each day especially jogging about 15 - 30 minutes and if you can, enrol with a gym house.

The benefits of exercise can not be underestimated, from boosting your mood to weight control and of course battling diseases such as high blood pressure, exercise is a sure way to live a healthier and happier life.

3).   Rest and Sleep
Sleep helps to keep the brain and body refreshed. We should try as much as possible to get plenty of sleep keeping in mind the average recommended hours of sleep for an adult of about 7 - 8 hours a day.

4).  Good Personal Hygiene
It is good to shower at least twice a day to keep the body and mind refreshed and not forgetting to wash your teeth twice daily. Also get a good anti perspirant to keep sweat minimal so you can always smell fresh and cool. Especially for the ladies, change your clothes and undergarments at least twice a day!

5).   Engage in positive thinking
Positive thinking yields positive attitude,  and positive attitude yields positive results. Your mind/ thinking has a huge effect on your overall life, positive thinking reduces stress!

Academic activities was grounded today at Petroleum Training Institute, Effurun Delta State due to the barricading of  the main gate by angry youths of the community Effurun, where the school is located.

Reports gathered showed that the the school (PTI) recently employed some persons leaving out the community youths, hence the closure of the main gate with a coffin at the entrance by the youths.
