Chairman of All Progressives Congress, APC, Governors Forum, and governor of Imo State, Owelle Rochas Ojorocha made the statement yesterday when he revealed that seven Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, governors were secretly holding meetings and strategizing in favour of his party for the polls.


This came as national leader of the party, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu, said the federal government has allegedly diverted money meant to insure security men, especially those fighting insurgency in the North East.
Okorocha, who spoke at APC campaign rally in Amuwo-Odofin Local Government Area of Lagos, did not, however, name the PDP governors involved.
According to him, the action of the PDP governors further indicates that the ruling party was afraid of the APC presidential candidate, General Muhammadu Buhari (retd.)
He said: “Buhari’s victory has been sealed and delivered and today, about seven governors who are not APC are coming to hold meeting with us privately. There is fear in the country and the fear was that they know that Buhari is a good man and he will win.
“They know that once the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC announce Buhari as the winner of the presidential election, all the bad people who are embezzling the country’s fund will leave the country at night. The fear of Buhari is the beginning of stoppage of corruption.’’
He noted that after Buhari assumed office in 1983, he stopped open defecation before it became entrenched again and eradicated all forms of indiscipline.
Okorocha said the glory of the country would be restored because the change that gave rise to APC had started.
“PDP died immediately APC was formed and we scheduled the burial of the party for February 14 but they postponed it to March 28. We are waiting patiently to bury the party forever. But let me tell you that you can change the date of burial but you cannot change the burial. It must take place.
“The worst thing that can happen to any nation is to have a bad government and the worst thing that can happen to any family is to have a bad father.
“Today, it is obvious that PDP is a bad government and we thank God that we came together to change the bad government,” he said.

Tinubu knocks Jonathan for failed promises
Also speaking at the rally, former governor of Lagos State and a chieftain of APC, Bola Tinubu, lamented that in spite of failing to fulfill promises made to Nigerians in 2011, the Federal Government, under President Goodluck Jonathan, was yet to apologise to Nigerians and explain the reason for the failure.
He said: “Jonathan never says to Nigerians, I am sorry. Today, he cannot pay insurance for the life of the soldiers and the police who are working in danger.
‘’They have concentrated money in bribing people. The exchange rate is very high and he says he wants to make vehicles for Nigeria.
“Majority of Nigerian youths are looking for jobs. Six years ago, he appealed to Nigerians that he had no shoes and because of that people voted for him. The President has spent six years in office and he is yet to do what he promised Nigerians.
“He has failed in the area of power and that has affected many small and medium scale businesses. Today, they are asking for people to pay for electricity they don’t use. That is double jeopardy; money for diesel, money for electricity failure. Can we allow that one to continue? We need change.’’
While noting that the forthcoming elections was not about religion or ethnicity, Tinubu urged the electorate not to vote on the bases of ethnicity, tribe or religion.
“If a government has been there for 16 years and you don’t see progress, you must move out of that government; send them away. Enough is enough. Failure is not part of us.
“Our brothers and sisters from East, there is no difference between us. The vote is about salvation, happiness and together in unity; we can rescue Nigeria and lead it to prosperity,” Tinubu said.

He has already ploughed money into genetics firms and cancer diagnostic startups and said: 'We have the tools in the life sciences to achieve anything that you have the audacity to envision. I just hope to live long enough not to die.' 
Mr Maris founded Google Ventures in 2009 and oversees all of the fund’s global activities.
He studied neuroscience at Middlebury College and conducted neurobiology research at Duke University.

Mabel, a 300 level student from my school  bought form to contest for one of the top positions in the Student Union Government, this was the first time a girl would boldly stand up to vie for any seat in the SUG. There were about three other guys vying for that same position.
The guys all came to our hostel begging for us to vote for them and we girls always gave them a warm welcome whenever they came for their rallies.

Mabel too started with her rallies, after going round the girl's hostel, she visited one of the boy's hostel for her rallies and on getting to the gate, she got the shocker of her life. The guys especially the ones vying for the same position with her refused her entry into the compound with questions like... " what do you know you want to go and do in the SUG?". She pleaded with them to allow her in, to no avail.To cut the long story short, we the girls all came out en masse to vote for her and she won and am sure she can handle that position just like any other person or guy.

I know this gender inequality issues happen in almost every parastatal of the government and we all need to have a rethink on it and give women equal chances as the male folks. Let’s see past this 'women are the weaker vessels' talk. 'Superwomen' are emerging everywhere like strong nations and it will be a pity for Nigeria to be left out!.

Twice-divorced Sarah met Chris Olsen online 18 months ago.
Though the mysterious man's accent has changed over time, and he keeps asking for money to be wired to various different countries, Sarah insists she is '95 per cent certain' that he is telling her the truth.

Despite his numerous attempts to come home so they can be together, she says, he keeps getting arrested on false charges.
In an interview with Dr Phil, Sarah explained that they speak for hours on the phone each day.
She described the moment they met on the internet: 'An attractive person came on there and said "wow you look like you wouldn't hurt a fly". I said "wow this guy's really handsome, I can't believe he's talking to me!"'
He told her he was called Chris Olsen, who hailed from Milan but moved to the U.S. 18 years ago.
Currently, she says, he is based in Africa on business, and has been for more than a year and a half.
When they met he said he was in South Africa. After a brief stint in Nigeria, he relocated to Benin, Sarah explained.
Within seven weeks of meeting, he professed his love in a gushing email that referred to her as 'Mrs Olsen'.
And days later, he sent the first of many requests for money.
She has now sent him $1.4 million in total for hotel bills, calling cards, lawyers, an expired visa, stolen credit cards, and bail.
Last June, she even had to sell an apartment she owned to wire him $550,000 bail.
However, she believes he is trying his utmost to make it home.
Sarah concedes that there are suspicious elements to his story: 'When I first started talking to him,' she told Dr Phil, 'He sounded Italian now his accent's kind of changed I don't know if he's adapted to where he's at... in Benin.'
But, she concludes: 'I still believe in love.'

A leading Russian opposition politician and vocal critic of Vladimir Putin was gunned down in a 'politically motivated' drive-by shooting on the streets of Moscow this evening.
Former deputy Prime Minister Boris Nemtsov was under surveillance by his killers before they fatally shot him down in the shadow of the Kremlin a day before a major anti-Putin protest.
He had been working on a report presenting evidence he believed proved Russia's direct involvement in the separatist rebellion that erupted in eastern Ukraine last year.
An unidentified assassin killed the liberal politician - who had been tipped as a future Russian president - with four shots fired while he was walking with a woman across a bridge.  
'The murderers knew Nemtsov's route, he was spied on,' said a source. 
He was shot in the back just metres from the Kremlin shortly after midnight local time. His female companion, a Ukrainian citizen, was unhurt.
President Putin condemned the murder and said it may have been a contract killing, according to
Russian news agencies.
US President Barack Obama has also condemned the 'brutal murder', the White House National Security Council said tonight on Twitter.
The White House called on the Russian government to conduct a 'prompt, impartial and transparent investigation' and to 'ensure those responsible are brought to justice.' 
Obama said he met Nemtsov in Moscow in 2009 when the Russian was willing to 'share his candid views with me'.
'We offer our sincere condolences to his family and to the Russian people, who have lost one of the most dedicated and eloquent defenders of their rights,' he said.

Rapper Kanye West was forced to pause an interview after he broke down in tears, while discussing the late fashion professor, Louise Wilson.

The 37-year-old was being interviewed by Radio One's Zane Lowe and discussed his 'inspirational' friend, who died in May last year after a battle with breast cancer.

 Kanye became very emotional and Zane asked him if he wanted to take a minute as Kanye's sobs became audible.
Zane stood up and patted Kanye on the shoulder, before the performer agreed to take a minute and left the room. 'That’s never happened to me in an interview before,' he confessed as he returned.

Kanye attended Wilson's memorial service held at St Paul's Cathedral in London on February 20.

The new monarch of Saudi Arabia has handed out billions of pounds to the country's citizens to celebrate his coronation.
King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud made the remarkably generous gesture, estimated to total almost £21 billion, to mark taking the throne in the oil-rich country.
In a message on Twitter - that has now been shared more than 350,000 times - the King wrote: 'Dear people: You deserve more and whatever I do will not be able to give you what you deserve.'

A 'devious and calculating' accounts manager who stole £23,000 from a TV star's home improvements company was jailed for 16 months today.
Abeyomi Ogunagbadaro, 44, had only been working at home expert Alison Cork's Alison At Home furniture business in Regent Street, central London, for six weeks when he started stealing from the firm.
The financial controller, who was on a £42,000-a-year salary, had access to the company's online bank account and was able to launder payments via two innocent friends he duped into giving him their bank details.
