I think the resources should have been spent on something else for the following reasons:
i. Federal Government through Nigerian Railway Corporation is seriously working on re-activating railway system. The track and bridges had been assessed and undergoing strengthening. Rehabilitation of bridge locations had been advertised in punch newspaper for contractors to bid.

ii. The same railway track (western line) used by NRC will be used by proposed locomotive, coaches & wagons since we don't have dual track from Lagos to Osun. This will affect the operation of the proposed locomotives.

iii. I wonder the track gauge type they are bringing to Nigeria, our track gauge is obsolete and NRC is planning upgrading the tracks after those on ground are  operated for some time.  

It is important they consider these factors so that the opponent will not cash on opportunity to attack his good intension
