Properties / Why We Are Adopting Solar Power At Rayfield Gardens City Estate Ibadan - Fendini by erunz(m): 8:08pm On Jul 17, 2023
Fendini Homes Managing Director/Chief Executive Officer (MD/CEO), Prince Laja Adeoye, has disclosed the idea behind the adoption of solar energy to power the Rayfield Gardens City Estate in Ibadan.

Adeoye, the developer of Rayfield Gardens City Estate, Christopher Adebayo Alao Akala GRA, Wofun, Akobo Extension, Iwo Road, Lagelu Ibadan, explained this in an exclusive interview with Journalists in Ibadan, Oyo State capital.

According to him, he said that for any modern estate to function and to have near constant electricity, they must be able to provide residents with constant power, which has made Rayfield Gardens City to switch all the street light in the estate to 100% Solar power.

Laja further averred that, Fendini Homes is out to give their subscribers a whole new living experience, in a more serene environment, with modern Architectural smart home designs, and quality construction aimed at creating lasting impression for the subscribers.

He noted that Fendini aim is to ensure that at no point the Estate is in darkness, because they cannot control the government generated electricity but with Solar, their subscribers can be assured of effective Estate lighting at night, which will enhance liveliness, visibility and security of residents.

He said: "As you can see in our proof of concept, we have had street lightning on for the past one year in the Estate, as there is no night you come here to our Estate that you won't see light."

"In addition to perimeter fence lighting units in every homes, each of the houses will have solar light pole installed to them, to ensure that the entire Estate is well illuminated at every point in the night."

"Renewable sustainable Energy is the game changer and for us, we are out to ensure that we provide all our residents with quality Infrastructures, such as solid paved roads, drainages, multi-layer power (Grid and Solar Power) and Security, treated water plants, fiber optics fast internet penetration/5G Network and smart homes automation technology."

"We carefully and painstakingly designed each of the houses to have at least 10-20KVA of solar power installed on them, depending on energy needs of the residents, to phase out generators in order to achieve Zero Noise Estate.

"To us, the beautiful and esthetics environment matter so much to us, as there will be clean air, clean environment, flowers and Gardens.

"Again, we are also trying to achieve Zero noise, away from from fossil fuel powered Generator, which comes with carbon emissions, but Solar Lights on the Streets and those installed in each units of the houses will mitigate against air and noise pollution in the Estate.

"We are also going to have centralized treated water plants, which will be piped and metered to each units of the houses. All of these will be handled by the Facility Management department of the Estate, thereby creating good services and value to all the Subscribers.

Laja also briefly spoke about funding and investment opportunities of the project, and according to him, he said interested Sub-developers, who wants to invest to develop some of the units of the Estate are allowed to join as they already have a template for investors, who wants to do business with the company.

"We have designed a master plan, which fits for everyone who wants to do business with us, and interestingly, we have landed spaces in our commercial wing for those who wants to invest and build Standard Hotels, Primary and Secondary school, Office complex/ Banking Hall/Show Rooms, Amusement Park, Hospital/Pharmacy Complex, Conference Center, gym house and more.

"The idea is to have a one stop shop Estate, first of it's kind in Oyo State, where you can simply walk into Shopping Complex in the Estate to buy groceries, visit gym to exercise your body for fitness, take your kids to school without hassles, host your friends in the Hotels, or take your kids to amusement park for holidaying, he said.

Development of Rayfield Gardens City Estate, which situated at Christopher Adebayo Alao Akala GRA Ibadan is a Public Private Partnership (PPP) initiative between Oyo State Government and Fendini Limited, to provide about 400 housing units to residents and interested prospective home buyers across the world.

Okay, Where are the ones started by Ajimobi that makinde completed?

Is government not a continuum anymore?

I am waiting for you to show us Makinde’s infrastructural projects like this, you can’t because it’s audio.

We Oyo people move from Ajimobi to Makinde, a performer to an audio Governor.

God should help us change Makinde’s government heart for good so he can deliver projects for us before it is too late.

*Agbowo Shopping Complex: Why Seyi Makinde's prosperity model for Oyo State is working well. - Lanre Oguns*

Oyo State, as at today is one of the rapidly growing economy in Nigeria as a result of the effort and strategic blueprint of Governor Seyi Makinde and his team of brilliant minds.

As we all know, a country or a State, cannot make any meaningful progress when it is not economically viable or attractive to businesses or investors. And like many States in Nigeria, who already has stockpile of both domestic and foreign loans by the previous administrations, there is little or nothing governor in such States can do to change the economy, except they think outside the box.

When Seyi Makinde emerged as governor of Oyo State in 2019, he didn't start to complain or go through the normal blame game route, most of the elected government officials usually use, as an excuse/getaway for not delivering on their mandates to the people.

In his case, he had the knowledge of what he was going into as a governor, who must not pretend to be working, but must be working round the clock by a way of systemic but pragmatic approach in order put the State on economic prosperity.

His predecessors would always wait for FAAC, tiny IGR and plenty borrowing to run government, without making effort to think outside the box, and greater percentage of these funds were looted. This is why they kept on owing salaries, refused to pay pensioners and acted like emperors to the people of the State, as you know, since Seyi became governor, he has not fail to pay civil servants their salaries as and when due. He has also commenced payment of pension backlog, his predecessors left unpaid before he came into government house, because he finds it repulsive that people who puts so much to work are being owed.

Seyi came up with what is known as Alternative Project Funding Approach (APFA), and Public Private Partnership, to stimulate and rapidly turn the economy around, and this is working well for the State.

With the little funds from FAAC and IGR, the government knows that, they have a lot of financial commitments, such as payment of salaries etc, which must not fail, and they are very sensitive that, if they must not fail in these areas, they must find alternative ways to fund goverment projects, such as road and other infrastructures, that will in turn, enable the economy to improve, so that in the short, medium and long term, the IGR of the State can greatly improve.

This APFA initiative, allow contrators to inject their several billions of Naira into Oyo economy with understanding, so that the government can concentrate on other critical areas of governance. In fact, this is first of its kind in Nigeria. It take a thinking and working goverment to go in this direction.

What this means is that, he want to jump start the economy by making sure that friendly business environment are provided for investors, also making sure that whatever support the government can provide to see these businesses survive are adequately provided.

Agbowo Shopping Complex for example, like many other moribund public infrastructures that has been laying fallow for several years unattended, was constructed by the administration of late Chief Bola Ige in 1983 on 30 plots of land, strategically located in a prime area, has now been handed over to a private business on a PPP arrangement for re-branding and remodeling, and this is a step in the right direction. It is better to give this facility to those who can manage it, than to allow it to continue to depreciate, and fall apart to wreckage.

Before now, this complex has been under an agency of government, who may have not run it the way it should be ran, until this concession came up.

The complex, according to government is concessioned for 50 years, and the investor, Whitestone Global Limited, is spending about N4.9b to turn this historic building to a 4-star hotel, which in a way can conveniently compete with hotels such as, Eko Hotel in Lagos.

What this strategic arrangement will do in the immediate, is to create massive jobs for lots of unemployed citizens, from even the remodeling, to when the hotel will kick off full commercial activities and also help to power up other economic activities in the business hub where it is located.

Local, foreign and multinational corporations and companies, such as Microsoft, Oracle, Facebook, Shell, Universities etc will now be rest assured that there is now a beffiting place they can use in Ibadan to conduct their businesses.

If you read the right news, and not the jaundice being brandied about by some people whose aim is to maliciously blackmail the governor, note that, past administration also tried to do same concession at over N8b, but failed. This is what GSM has now successfully done for less than N5b.

"When you put in effort and do want they (Opposition) cannot do during their tenure in office, they get angry and begin to sponsor all sort of publications. But, the public can clearly see what GSM is doing in their best interests, and not complaining, except for the political hawks. With Agbowo back to life and business, so many people who have been unemployed will now start having decent jobs."

As we know, goverment have less to do in terms of job provision, they only need to create friendly and viable business/economy environment, for those bringing in their billions to thrive, such as this concession with Agbowo Shopping complex.

But, some enemies of the State will always find a way to fault the government in anything just to score cheap political points, as you already know, they say these things deliberately to mislead the people, as they themselves are surely aware that, they are not making sense in any antagonistic write up they are putting up. Imagine some of them saying that Agbowo Shopping Complex concessioned for 50 years is a win for the citizens, and Whitestone Global Limited, but a huge loss to the government. Why is it a loss to the government, when the business of the government in the first place is because of the people?

One Moruf Smith, even went ahead in his write up, which he may have been paid for by detractors to put up, " Makinde's Concession of Agbowo Complex: Is 4.9Billion Naira Equal 50years?" to make wild allegation, which if he is called up to defend himself, might end up in serious trouble.

One of his argument was that 50 years is too long for a concession, and I don't know if he is aware that the land where his father built (if he has), was leased to him by the government under the land use act for 99.9999 years. Would he come out to attack goverment in same manner that the lease to his father is also too long?

Follow up comment to Moruf Smith:

"I just read through his piece and I can’t but imagine the nature of coordinations behind thoughts of the writer."

“Jumping upandan” I think the writer should have opted to write a short bedtime story to help our little folks who haven’t been able to go to school as a result of the pandemic. Obviously, the length of the write-up he attempted is too much for his coordination."

*How will you say “The present concessional arrangement of 4.9bn equals 50 years is a win to Messrs Whitestone Global limited, a win to people in terms of job opportunities AND in the same paragraph you said it is a huge loss to Oyo state.....
Can someone tell him that any thing termed as a win for the people is a win for the government of Oyo state?*

"Asides from his lack of knowledge, I think he lacks the ability to coordinate his thoughts and those of his pay masters." ~ Mr Jimoh

One thing they find very hard is how to fault the Governor's integrity, because he was the first in Oyo State to publicly declare his assets at the time he came into government, because he came not to amass wealth for himself, but to serve the people transparently.

Going back to GSM's prosperity model for Oyo State, you'll clearly notice the resuscitation of many other moribund public infrastructures, capable of helping the growth of the economy, such as the expansion of the Lekan Salami Sports Complex, Ibadan Airport, so that it can commence full flight operation soon.

There is a dry port at the Moniya Axis of Oyo State, together with Lagos-Ibadan rail system. For those who are business savvy, they are already giving big kudos to GSM for his insight over this heavy business corridor coming up soon, because countless numbers of direct and indirect jobs are coming up in this area too. Affordable housing, road infrastructures are also not taking back seat in his agenda. Looking at how he has fared so far, he needs more encouragement, than the destructive behavior of the oppositions.

GSM has big plans for Education and healthcare, we can clearly see this in how he is handling the case of COVID19 in the State. Free education and school support kits were provided to students. Surely, when the earnings of goverment improves, he will surely do more, but certainly, GSM will commission more projects in this his first term than any governor ever in Oyo State, looking at how he is giving and following timeline to contractors to the State government.

Permit me to say this, all the efforts of goverment at reviving the economy is working, as report shows that people are already relocating to Oyo State to continue their businesses, because of how flexible and profitable it has now become to do business in the State.

The governor clearly said in one of the report I read that there is no need to continue to live on rent seeking kind of economy, that the way forward is to be creative in enabling a fertile environment for private driven economy, therefore relaxed, gave concessions and support to businesses. The truth is that the more businesses that springs up in Oyo State, the more jobs and even additional revenue for the government.

It is only those who do not understand basic economics, that are jumping up and down, and to stop futher embarasing themselves in the public domain, they need to CALM DOWN, just as that young boy in the viral video told his mum.

NDDC STINKS

...105 CRONIES APPOINTED THROUGH BACK DOOR

Unless urgent steps are immediately taken to put a halt, a fresh round of looting looms in the Niger Delta Development Commission under the watch of the Minister of Niger Delta Affairs, Senator Godswill Akpabio.

An anti-corruption group has revealed that a whooping N140bn has been squandered by the NDDC since Akpabio took over as the supervising Minister of the Commission, with a chunk of the spending going into the controversial desilting project that has raised dust.

A whistle blower group, Act for Positive Transformation says it has uncovered a plot by the Interim Management Committee (IMC) of the Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC) to loot the commission’s fund this week through another round of illegal extra-budgetary expenditure by back dating documents to enable the alleged fraudulent spendings, beginning from Monday 14th.

The group raised the alarm in a letter it wrote to the Minister of Niger Delta Affairs, Senator Godswill Akpabio, dated 15th September, 2020.

The letter was signed by Mr. Johnson Kolawole, the group’s Head, Directorate of Research, Planning and Programmes.

FEC members copied in the letter include Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Boss Mustapha; Chief of Staff to the President, Ibrahim Gambari; the Minister of Finance, Zainab Ahmed and the Attorney General of the Federation, Abubakar Malami.

The group claimed the NDDC has spent N30 billion in the last three months without an approved budget, noting the spendings were against President Muhammadu Buhari’s directive which Akpabio had even communicated to the press.

According to the group, a decision reached at the Federal Executive Council, (FEC) that the NDDC should not on its own pay the forensic auditors, auditing the Commission’s account because it has no approved budget yet, was a clear indication that the FEC was not ready to support any unlawful and illegal expenditure at the commission, as the law was clear on extra budgetary expenditure.

“Recall that The Federal Executive Council, FEC, presided over by President Muhammadu Buhari on August 26th approved the sum of 722 Million Naira for forensic auditors cleared on the same day to audit the Niger Delta Development Commission, NDDC.

“Speaking with journalists at the end of the meeting, you (Sen Godswill Akpabio) informed the public that the approved payment shall be funded by the Presidency because the commission’s budget has not been approved by the National Assembly, hence cannot make capital expenditure.

“Against the position of FEC and The President which you communicated to the Press, the NDDC under you has sustained its illegal spending against the law, with impunity.

“Records show that extra budgetary expenditure under your supervision has hit Thirty (30) Billion Naira in just three months.

“A fresh plot has, again, been uncovered to loot the commission’s resources this week via another round of illegal extra budgetary expenditure.

Top officials of the commission were sighted at the commission’s office on Saturday, 12th of September, preparing and backdating documents to fast track this set of payments beginning from Monday 14th,” the letter read.

“It is on record that about 140 (One Hundred and Forty) Billion Naira has so far been spent under your supervision as the supervising Minister over the Commission. It is also instructive to note that payment for desilting against the instruction of Mr President has dominated the recent illegal expenditure.”
In the letter to Akpabio, the Act for Positive Transformation further revealed that 105 contract staff have been illegally engaged by the NDDC, with some notable names of Akpabio’s kinsmen on the list. According to the group, the new employees neither went through any aptitude test nor were interviewed for the positions.

“Also note, Your Excellency, we are cognizant that illegal recruitment is ongoing in the commission.

“About 105 contract staff were recently employed, illegally, without aptitude test or interviews, under your watch.

"Though the Commission attempted to deny this but records shall speak. While we await the September payroll to fish them out and act on official document that cannot be disputed, names like: ANIEMA AKPABIO, BASSEY INNEMESIT, PATIENCE AKPAN etc, are certainly familiar to you, they are beneficiaries of the said unlawful recruitment. It is only fair to halt this illegal employment and ensure due process is followed in any recruitment where proper gap analysis and competence
assessment shall be prioritized.

Politics / Chief Dumo Lulu-briggs Breaks Silence On Late Father’s Burial by erunz(m): 1:08pm On Jan 10, 2020
The second oldest son of Late High Chief O B Lulu-Briggs, Chief Dumo Lulu-Briggs in a rare interview bared the truths behind the continued delay of the burial of the patriarch of the Oruwari Briggs family.

Speaking to pressmen today, he shed further light on the recent tussle between his stepmother Seinye Lulu-Briggs and the Oruwari Briggs family and her contesting of the judgement of the High Court in Ghana where she had instituted a legal action against the family members barring them from accessing the mortal remains of their late patriarch who passed on the 27th of December 2018.

The family has been in contention over the remains of the late philanthropist and octogenarian, a tussle which Seinye Lulu-Briggs, the surviving wife to the High Chief has used all forms of media in her attempt to disinform the public over the cause of the delays and most recent hold on the January 25th 2020 date proposed by the family in December.

Seinye who claims through her spokesman that the reasons why she has refused to hand over the remains of the late High Chief as ordered by the court is because Chief dumo Lulu-Briggs has refused to accede to the what she called “Pre-Conditions” set by the court.

A cursory look at the certified true copies of the court ruling made available at the press briefing shows that Seinye lied.

court judgement

Dumo Lulu-Briggs, also a London trained lawyer clearly stated that the supposed pre-conditions as ordered by the court has been met since the 24th of December 2019 and it was by far the easiest thing to meet as long as it allows them access to the mortal remains of their late father to enable the family sit and plan for his burial as required by customs. Chief Dumo also explained that the second pre-condition stated in the ruling is not beholden to him as he cannot in any way be the person who will appoint for Seinye her representatives that will accompany him and the family to convey the remains from Accra to Nigeria on the set date. Chief Dumo believes that he can only be held responsible if he or any member of the Oruwari Briggs family rejects the representatives appointed by his step mother which he is sure will not happen as the family is tired of having to go back and forth on the matter and the increasing delay of the burial of their father is becoming wearisome to the family.

Asked by reporters about the recent claims by Seinye through her spokesman which was all over social media on the 8th of January 2020 about a claim that he appealed the submission of an autopsy report to the High Court in Ghana , Chief Dumo not only denied such reports but also went ahead to show proof that he had no objection whatsoever to the submission of any said report if Seinye indeed has any to submit.

Reacting also to the a letter purportedly written by the private jet company that seinye chartered to convey her and her late husband on the fateful day of his demise, Chief Dumo raised concerns as to why a lawyer who knows his onions in the professions would write in response to an inquiry not even requested by him or any member of the Briggs family or the police in Ghana and Nigeria who are also interested parties in the matter with the letter head of the Private Jet company and also start his letter with “Dear Ben” .

The letter which was flashed on social media and later deleted by the spokesman of Seinye Lulu-Briggs carries the logo of Vista Jet Company, a Private Jet company was addressed to a Barrister Benedict Unaegbunam of ACAS-LAW, acronym for Adepetun Caxton-Martins Agbor & Segun, a commercial law firm based in Lagos.

Chief Dumo further explains that if Seinye claims that an inquiry was requested by her as Moni Pulo Petroleum Ltd Executive Vice Chairman, then why was she investigating herself?

Dumo also raised concerns about same letter stating that the statement made by Seinye Lulu-Briggs to the Ghana Police Service immediately contradicts the reasons behind her supposed inquest/inquiry into the response as contained in the letter.

In the letter which was made available to pressmen, the pilot of the private jet said he repeatedly left his pilot’s seat to check in on the late High Chief to see if he was okay.

Now the questions are;

1 Is the pilot a nurse or a doctor that he will be the one checking on the High Chief?
2 How is it that he was flying a plane and had the time to constantly go back and forth from the cockpit to the passenger section to check on his passenger?
3 Seinye claimed she had a nurse on board with her on the fateful day so why did the pilot need to be the one saddled with the responsibility of checking in on his passenger?
4 Seinye’s statement also claimed that they needed a license to fly into Ghana airspace which she had to take her time to procure for the pilot to enable him fly into Ghana airspace and airport. How? Since when did it become the duty of the passenger/ client to procure license for private jet companies or airlines?
5 How long did it take Seinye to procure this license as claimed?
6 While she was going about the procurement of the license or permit, where was she that it had to be the pilot who would be saddled with the duty to check in on his passenger?
6 Seinye claimed that the jet flew in from Malta to convey them to Accra, a 45-50 minutes journey from Port Harcourt International Airport and yet she claims that she had to procure landing permit for the same aircraft company to enable them fly into Ghana Airport.

In what seemed like a never-ending session of questions and answers, this reporter asked Chief Dumo Lulu-Briggs about the claims of Mrs Seinye Lulu-Briggs about the funeral service held in the honor of his late father by the Asantehene, King Otumfuo Nana Osei Tutu II of Asante Kingdom of Ghana in Accra.

Dumo expressed surprise at such an outrageous suggestion that the Asantehene would want to hold a funeral memorial service for his long-time friend and he would choose Accra to hold it.
This assertion which was confirmed as at press time further throws light to the fact that Mrs Seinye may be hiding something from the family and the public.

Asked if Seinye releases the body to the family if he will go ahead with the burial plans? Dumo replied in the affirmative and even went ahead to say that nobody has a right to deny Seinye her full representation in the burial planning process should she choose to be a part of it.

Dumo further said that all his family is interested in is that she releases the body of their father to the family so they can go ahead and plan for his burial and if there are other issues she has with him, that can be resolved later but in the interim he is more interested and concerened with giving his father a befitting burial

Politics / BBC UK, Save Your Brand In Nigeria Before Its Too Late by erunz(m): 5:48pm On Mar 10, 2019
British Broadcasting Coperation (BBC) was founded in November 14th, 1922 which increasingly grew it spread across the world with high class and well trained staff of over 3,500.

The BBC is a quasi-autonomous corporation authorised by Royal Charter, making it operationally independent of the government, who have no power to appoint or dismiss its director-general, and required to report impartially.

BBC franchise in Nigeria is beginning to turn to a political tool instead of the objective analysis and reportage of happenings in the country, before it is too late, the parent company must quickly review it's activities before the brand is badly damaged.

Investigative journalism entails careful work and not the gutter journalism some of the staff of BBC Naija are doing, a recent incident where an unprofessional and not well trained female journalist was seen trying to blackmail a popular Lagos politician, Otunba Segun Adewale (Aeroland) of buying votes, an allegation without proof, instead of reporting the true reflection of what transpired, she chose to trend a bad and tarnishing news which is injurious to the political life of an innocent man with the aim of giving more visiblity to the brand BBC News Nigeria.

Soldiers and police were at the polling units aiding the rigging of election in favour of the ruling APC, the man complained and was furious with the irregularities, instead of the journalist lady to do a fact finding to enable her give an accurate/unbiased report, she decided to stage a drama to distract the attention from the real issues, which would easily make anyone think that BBC Naija was commissioned to do a coveted job for the APC.

Except the parent body wants to feign ignorance, the people they handed the franchise in Nigeria are politicians who are now using the platform to advance their political bid, rumor has it that the building that housed BBC office in Ikoyi Lagos is owned by Tinubu while some others are saying that it belongs to his boy, how can such organization become impartial when reporting news involving the opposition figures?

It is important to ask that the BBC should check it's archives, if they have reported any major news against APC or Senator Bola Tinubu, the same man whose Bourdillon house in Ikoyi has turned to micro finance bank with bullion vans, the same BBC Nigeria in various languages including @BBCNewsPidgin did not deem it fit to beam it's reportage light on how APC thugs headed by MC Oluomo and his foot soldiers under the state protection has been terrorising the residents of Okota, Oshodi and other areas in Lagos.

They may not want to do that because their landlord may get angry, this is what journalism should not be, but if it's to blackmail the opposition figures in the country, they are glad and fast to release such video skits to the public, it would be sad if the BBC UK don't check how these unprofessional staff in Nigeria conduct themselves via spreading of fake news and propaganda, the highly respected BBC would soon lose its reputation and relevance.

To save this brand and protect it's integrity that has been in existence for over the years, the franchise agreement or operational mode in Nigeria must be reviewed, anything you place in the hands of politicians in most cases don't end well.

Politics / BREAKING: Nigerian Wailers Endorses Atiku, Says Buhari Has Failed by erunz(m): 8:50pm On Feb 21, 2019
*TEXT OF A PRESS RELEASE FOR THE ENDORSEMENT OF THE PRESIDENTIAL CANDIDATE OF THE PEOPLES DEMOCRATIC PARTY (PDP), ALHAJI ATIKU ABUBAKAR, BY THE NIGERIAN WAILERS ON FEBRUARY 21ST, 2019.*

Protocol,

Gentle men of the press, Stakeholders, Nigerians in general both home and abroad, today is historic in the lives of our people and our Nation Nigeria, the last three and half years have seen Nigeria retrogress on all fronts contrary to the expectations of an average Nigerians when this government came into power.

The yearnings and aspirations of Nigerians was a country where developments will affect every aspects of our economy, where accountability and delivery on campaign promises will be sacrosanct.

Citizens of our country voted base on trust, and based on what was presented before them in 2015, in which the APC manifesto detailed 81 campaign promises which was later summarized into ECONOMY, ANTI CORRUPTION and SECURITY.

But sadly today, those promises have been largely abandoned, given rise to harsh condition for citizens. Not long ago, Brookings Institutions relayed it's report that Nigeria has become the poverty capital of the world, indicating that no fewer than 87 million of our population are battling with extreme poverty.

Even more worrisome is the anti corruption fight that has become a farce owing to Buhari's government open bias in the way and manners his anti corruption crusade is being carried out, reducing it to political tool as members of the oppositions are primarily and exclusively the target of graft fight.

During his campaign for election, Buhari flaunted his military background and assured Nigerians of facilitating the rescue of all the kidnapped Chibok school girls within three months and crush Boko Haram to ensure that within one year, none of our territory is being held hostage by the insurgents, after his emergence.

But like other promises, that remained unfulfilled as Boko Haram still carryout onslaughts in the troubled states and several number of citizens and soldiers have died as a result. It is discomforting that despite the $1b dollar taken from our treasury to procure arms to combat this ugly menace, the insurgents are becoming more and more emboldened that even Internally Displaced Persons (IDPs) camp are not spared.

The economy, was however, the most hit under Buhari government, which contrary to assurance of reviving it, has gone for the worse, plundering into recession in 2016 and throwing millions of Nigerians out of jobs. To us, Buhari record isn't inspiring and we therefore don't want Nigerians to gamble with his re-election as it would amount to a trial and error for another four years.

Given our conclusion that the abysmal performance of Buhari doesn't deserve another term, we extended our assessment to other major players across political parties, as well as sensor opinions from our members and the general public through an open, transparent online polls across our platforms, and Alhaji Atiku Abubakar of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) was voted for overwhelmingly as our preferred Presidential candidate.

Alhaji Atiku was the former Vice President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria between 1999 to 2007, an administration that saw our foreign debt cleared off, that brough about the GSM revolution, and an administration that set up EFCC, ICPC to fight financial graft and also set up Bureau of Public Enterprise and other National development agencies that shore up our economy from the military era.

Atiku is the most experience candidate in the contest and we are convinced that his mission to *"Get Nigeria Working Again"* is the ideal and right path to adopt at this critical stage of our country. Getting Nigeria to work is the most potent remedy to the varying challenges confronting the country, including insecurity.

Based on these facts, we want to join other well meaning Nigerians, groups to formally endorse ALHAJI ATIKU ABUBAKAR as our Presidential candidate.

The Nigerian Wailers is a foremost socio-political group in Nigeria, and as a major stakeholder in the project Nigeria, we cannot remain silent and indifference in the choice of leader that will pilot the affairs of our great nation for the next four years.

We want to make it abundantly clear that, by this Press Release, we have ENDORSED the candidacy of Alhaji Atiku Abubakar of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) as our preferred choice.

We therefore call on ALL WAILERS across the country and in diaspora to rally all necessary support for Alhaji Atiku to ensure that he emerge as the next President of our great country.

We want to equally use this opportunity to call on all Nigerians, to come our en mass, to vote for Alhaji Atiku on Saturday because he is the best among all other candidates in this election.

May we advise all our members and Nigerians as a whole, to ensure that they vote and protect their votes from any form of manipulations, and also ensure that they canvass votes of other like minds to vote for Atiku and make it counts in any polling booths or voting centers they find themselves across the country.

Let us also remind Nigerians that voting is a duty they must exercise and they must not be intimidated on the day of election.

We want to use this medium to prevail on the INEC not to dissapoint Nigerians, and reject and pressure to conduct staggered elections in order to avoid voters apathy.

Just as President Buhari observed while laying the 2019 budget, INEC should be aware that the whole world is watching. We call on security forces to carry out their task with utmost professionalism, and must help in upholding good image and integrity of this election, which we want to be credible, free and fair without ballot snatching, underage voting and needless loss of lives as a result of political killings and violence.

We want to encourage President Buhari to emulate former President Goodluck Jonathan should Nigerians not renew his mandate and ensure a peaceful hand over and not put the lives of innocent Nigerians on the line. As the leader of the country, he should put himself in a position of a elder stateman and prevail on his supporters not to foment trouble if the ballot goes against him, especially in the North

Finally, we would like to make it abundantly clear that, we are drumming our support for Alhaji Atiku Abubakar base on some of his past achievements, track record and his campaign policy document, however, if he renege on his promise to get Nigeria working again, we would be the first group to start criticism of his government.

Thank You.
