Religion / Heaven Is Very Real by esegineble: 3:05am On Oct 02, 2012
As Christians our Holy Bible tells us “About Heaven” and the reality of the existence of Heaven. Heaven is the ultimate dwelling place of all who live life right, and have a pure heart toward GOD and His Holy Word. We often think we will all go to Heaven, but according to the Lord Jesus that isn’t true at all.

Take for example the rich man and Lazarus, the rich man most likely thought he would be going to Heaven. As we read in the parable spoken by The Lord Jesus in (Luke 16:19–31) the rich man went to hell. Even though he was a believer in God he didn’t practice charity. This seems like a minor offense to most of us because it’s just being selfish, The Lord didn’t say he was a thief or a murderer. Jesus said he was basically rich but didn’t give to the poor. He must have known the word of God because in the parable Jesus said Abraham told him that his brothers have the word of Moses and the prophets. This means he was aware of God’s Word, he also knew who Abraham was when he called out to him from hell.

So as we can see there is a very fine line between going to Heaven And Hell. Make sure you are living the Word of God not just knowing it. Your eternal soul will be in paradise in Heaven or it will be in torment in Hell. It’s our job as Christians to lead people away from the path to Hell and onto the path to Heaven. We can only save so many because just as the Bible says, many will not give God honor and live by His Holy Word.

God has shown people Heaven and Hell through near death experiences and they have testified to the reality of Heaven and hell. They have a whole new outlook on Life After Death having been there and back. God is not lying to us brothers and sisters we will have to change our ways to get to Heaven.

Nothing we do is worth losing our soul, we must try hard everyday to fight temptation and to honor our Heavenly Father. He loves us more than we could ever know or understand, but He cannot allow wicked people into His Holy Heavenly Kingdom.

Crime / Ugo Ozuah Allegedly Shot Dead By Police Just Several Days After His Wedding by esegineble: 8:20pm On Sep 27, 2012
Ugo Ozuah was allegedly shot by men of the Nigerian police force in front of the UPS office on the Gbagada Express way on Thursday September 20th. He died early this morning at a hospital in Lagos. Ugo just got married last Saturday September 15th, 2012.

Details as to what really happened that Thursday night are sketchy but according to friends of the late businessman, he was at the expressway with another friend trying to flag down a taxi around 9 at night, when policemen pulled up and shot him twice in the chest at close range. They said he was not resisting arrest, he wasn’t arguing with the police, he was not asked to identify himself, he was just standing there with a friend and got killed for no reason.

The IG of police has said the men that killed the newly married man were not policemen, but they were wearing police uniform, so who were they?

This is truly sad, and quite unfortunate! I can’t even imagine what his wife would be going through now. Hopefully, Ugo’s family will get justice for this senseless killinghttp://www.blessingesegine.com/ugo-ozuah-allegedly-shot-dead-by-police-just-several-days-after-his-wedding/

Crime / “I Was Obeying The Voice In My Head” – Father Who Killed 41-day-old Son by esegineble: 7:04pm On Sep 27, 2012
An Ebute Meta Magistrate’s Court, Lagos, on Thursday remanded in Ikoyi Prison a 34-year-old bricklayer, Abiodun Otaoroju, for allegedly killing his 41-day-old son. The defendant is facing a two-count of murder and administering obnoxious substance. His plea was not taken as the court has no jurisdiction to try such case.
“I hereby remand the defendant at the Ikoyi Prison, pending the outcome of the legal advice from the Director of Public Prosecutions”, Magistrate Helen Omisore said. The prosecutor, Sgt. Idowu Onime, had told the court that the defendant, on August 30, unlawfully killed his son, Kazeem.
He said, “The defendant used an obnoxious substance known as ‘Bint El Sudan Perfume’ to kill the deceased”.
“The defendant, who lives at 16, Aiyegbami Street, Ibeju Lekki in Lagos, was arrested by the police after the mother of the baby cried out to the neighbourhood for help”. The News Agency of Nigeria reports that the alleged incident, which took place in Epe, in Lagos State, contravened sections 221 and 241 of the Criminal Code, Laws of Lagos State, 2011.
Omisore adjourned the case to October 31, for the DPP’s advice. Earlier, the accused had told reporters that, “I met Ronke in 2011. She’s a fashion designer.
We later fell in love and early this year, she got pregnant. I went to meet her father and told him I wanted to marry her and he accepted”.
I have another wife and have three children. But I didn’t marry Ronke but I provided for her and made sure she was alright.
In June, she gave birth to Kazeem and we had christening.
“I don’t live with them but I usually spend the weekend with them. On August 30, during one of my visits, I sent Ronke to buy bread and make me some tea. She left the baby with me.” Otaoroju said when Ronke went out; he started hearing strange voices in his head commanding him to kill his child.
He said, I went outside and bought a liquid substance known as Bint El Sudan, it’s a type of perfume.
“I took the substance, opened Kazeem’s mouth and poured it into it. I don’t know why I did that”http://www.blessingesegine.com/i-was-obeying-the-voice-in-my-head-father-who-killed-41-day-old-son/

Romance / Help! I’m Having Nightmares About My Boyfriend!” by esegineble: 6:36pm On Sep 24, 2012
My boyfriend and I have been dating for a year and a half; I really love him and we generally have a great relationship, but we definitely have our share of ups and downs.

The downs have mainly been due to fears and insecurities I have — it’s my first really serious relationship seeing how I’ve been a life long commitment-phobe! — so feeling this vulnerable is overwhelming and scary for me at times.

Since the beginning of our relationship I have had dreams about my boyfriend that range from neutral (we’re out with a bunch of friends but not really talking to each other) to terrible (he’s with an ex or I’m cheating on him with someone else).

I get the good one on occasion, but it’s rare. These dreams really mess with my head! It’s terrible when you wake up in the morning and that’s the first thing you think about!

What do I do to stop this?http://www.blessingesegine.com/2012/09/24/help-im-having-nightmares-about-my-boyfriend/
Family / Bitter Husband Sets Wife Ablaze by esegineble: 4:46pm On Sep 22, 2012
Ikotun area of Lagos State, Southwest Nigeria – Jean Odegba, 29, was set ablaze by her husband, Adesanmoye Kehinde, who felt jilted and thus expressed his displeasure by this evil act.

He allegedly poured petrol on her and struck a match to set her on fire. Jean was rescued, but she suffered severe burns and is now in critical condition at a hospital.

According to the victim, Jean, she didn’t enjoy any benefit of being the wife of this man, and even her dowry hasn’t been paid for by Kehinde.

She therefore decided to quit the four-year marriage for another man who was ready to marry her. But Kehinde insisted that she must not leave her and threatened to deal with her if she left.

According to the victim, he threatened to deal with her, but she did not know he planned to set her ablaze. On the day of the incident she was going to see a friend and unknown to her Kehinde was trailing her.

On getting to the Ikotun roundabout, he poured some petrol on her, lit a match and set her ablaze. She was rushed to a hospital where she has been on admission.

Kehinde, who was later arrested and is now in prison custody, hails from Ondo State Southwest, Nigeria while his estranged wife is from Edo State, Southsouth Nigeria.

The suspect was charged to Ejgbo Magistrate’s Court, Lagos on a two-count charge under section 243 and 244 of the Criminal Code Laws of Lagos State of Nigeria 2011.

When the charge was read to him, he pleaded not guilty. The prosecutor, ASP Nicholas Atunmonye, objected to his bail.

Atunmonye told the court that he was callous to have set the woman ablaze. He added that if he was allowed to go, it will send wrong signal to the society and the victim was still lying critically ill at a hospital.

The presiding magistrate, Mrs. M. B. Folami, ordered him to be remanded in prison custody at Kirikiri, Apapa, Lagos pending the outcome of the medical report.

The matter was adjourned to a later date this month.

Family / Woman Wants Divorce From ‘impotent’ Husband by esegineble: 12:01pm On Sep 19, 2012
A woman, Habiba Sulaiman of Tudun Wada Area of Kaduna, on Monday urged a Kaduna Sharia Court to dissolve her 17-year-old marriage for alleged lack of feeding allowance and impotence.

The petitioner told the court that she was married to her husband, Yahaya Mohammed of the same address, for 17 years but that he started having sexual disabilities seven years ago.

She said that "the sickness began soon after I delivered my third daughter as a result of stomach pains he had regularly.''

Sulaiman also told the court that "in our 17 years of marriage, we had three children and none of them is alive.

"Since the time we noticed this problem, I have been telling him to go and look for medical assistance but he refused.
"I have been enduring for the past seven years but he refused to seek for medical attention," she said.

Sulaiman said that she sought her aunt's intervention to encourage him to look for medical help but Mohammed refused.
She pleaded with the court to grant her divorce so that she could be free to get married again.

Mohammed denied the wife’s claims and told the court that there was nothing wrong with him.
He also told the court that his wife came to ask him to divorce her because she was no longer interested in the marriage.

"I answered her that since I provide everything for you and you did not give me any concrete reason that made you to seek divorce, I will not divorce you," he said.

He further told the court that she had been denying him sex whenever he approached her, adding that she did not love him again.

The Presiding Officer, Mr Usman Ibrahim, urged the couple to come to the court with their elders on the next adjourned date.
Ibrahim adjourned the case to Sept. 26, for continuation of hearing.
