Yeah sure... I wonder why your own posts are not done in "humility and politeness". Nigerians and the hypocrisy of demanding what they would never do to others.

Dear Twoods,

You don't know me and I don't know you. I am a Nigerian, and I am not rude or myopic in thoughts. I certainly know of many other Nigerians who are very intelligent and achievers, yet they treat people with respect and politeness. So don't assume every person or Nigerian is like that.

You need to check the meaning of the word “petty”, it does not describe the post you quoted. He was simply pointing out a sad fact that many Nigerians are pathologically lazy and unimaginative. You would easily find the answer to your questions on LinkedIn, or if you simply asked your schools’ International Student Office.

Well, you will understand why I replied that the response is petty.

First, the fact that the person stated those obvious meduim doesn't mean I am not aware that they exist. So, there must be reasons why I chose to use this forum. For example, accounts on facebook can be fake, it's not everyone that is active on LinkedIn etc.

Secondly, If I decide to know more people on my own than the school international student office will recommend, any problem with that?

I could go on....So if that person chooses to state the obvious and could not reason that there could be others, in addition decides to be rude, then pettiness (narrowness of mind or ideas or views) defines the act.

Not much of my business, but these kind of " fellow Nigerians in ******".. is quite funny and annoying simultaneously. Go to the LinkedIn, Facebook, and Instagram pages of the school and explicitly find what you're looking for, and not come on to an anonymous online Nigerian Forum with annoying people like me grin grin

Lol! If I decide to indulge in your pettiness, this thread will unnecessarily grow long. So I won't.

Hello house,

Please help connect me with fellow Nigerian graduate students at Auburn University. I will be starting PhD studies there this Fall. Thank you.

@Mandem101: thanks for your assistance on the earlier post.

there's an African OSU page you can reach out to, the guys/gals out here are a very nice group...in the group you have Nigerians, ghanians, ivorians, etc so they might have someone in the college or department your fiancé would be studying. there's a whatsappgroup you would be added to as well. i would speak with one of the student to link up with you. if you don't mind asking what dept. /college is your fiancé heading for?

Thank you very much for the response. The department is Plant Biology, Ecology and Evolution, College of Arts and Sciences. Will love to join the whatsapp group and African OSU page, is it on Facebook?

Cheers.

Hi everyone,

Glad to join such an informative forum. My fiance got admission into Oklahoma State University and we were hoping we could get in touch with a fellow Nigerian student. Please, do you guys know of an OSU student we can connect with?

Thanks a lot.
