ItsMeAboki:

I pity you for your bigoted mind and obviously poor education.
It took you no time to jump to conclusion based on a story without verifiable source, just on mere hearsay, to castigate a worldwide religion - yeah, go ahead and clap for yourself.
Have you ever considered how intolerant you folks are if we are to look into the reasons for Nigerian Christian objection to the following:
1) Ajami letters spelling out our various currency note values in Hausa; simply because you Christians foolishly believe that because the inscriptions (Ajami letters) are Arabic, then they must be Islamic; all this while forgetting that they were in fact introduced to our currency by the British who were themselves Christians.
2) The same also applies to some of our military insignia.
3) Charles Soludo, the former CBN governor, an Igbo Christian, introduced Islamic banking; yet you guys started kicking against it once SLS who succeeded him began to implement it, accusing him of trying to Islamize Nigeria; even though there had been no compulsion on anyone to use it.
4) Christians again kicked against Sharia; even though it had no bearing on them but entirely exclusive on Muslims, who for once had the opportunity to be tried and judged based on their own values rather than values alien to them and sometimes even against their religious beliefs.
Now compare that with the present unfounded baseless allegation against Muslims in Zamfara:
Take a good look at that giant edifice building in the picture housing the the corpers and asked whether the Zamfara State government would have approved and given permit for such a building and activity had there existed the kind of animosity or intolerance you would want us to believe; look also at the body language of the corpers, do they looked stressed or agitated as a result of the alleged demolition?
Some of you guys are just unbelievable.

Politics / Re: El-rufai To Critics : GO AND DIE If You're Not Happy Over My Appointees by etengo: 11:45am On Oct 19, 2015

I am proudly omo odua from osun but I am presently
living in the north,
An average Igbo being is arrogant, full of empty pride and
ego but as a psychologist I understand and live with
them but respond with fire when they cross my red line.
to be honest the eze ndi-igbo messed up in akure
Go home! You're drunk
incidence instead of him to respect the oba and lay low
for a while and pull strings while at it, he decided to turn
the deji of akure's levity to stupidity and the youths
decided to protect their culture/heritage their tradition
but instead of e-igbo warriors to correct their brothers
they seem to have deliberately, blindly toed the eze's
path.
The fact that you spit on a Yoruba man 7 times and he
did not react does not mean he is weak, we are peace
loving people but I can promise you one thing fear is not
in our dictionary but my Igbo brothers will see every calm
reaction as trait of weakness that's a wrong notion.
secondly the Igbo community pounced so hard on oba
akiolu during the last election I keenly followed and even
apologised on behalf of the oba, its not cause we are
weak it cause we are peaceful in nature need I remind
you no Yoruba man living and working in Onitsha will
insult the obi of Onitsha and go scot free but you Igbos
have such leverage why try to use it against us in Yoruba
land??
now the akure youths having observed you people are
rude kids that needs to be flogged to their right senses
you Igbos now play victims,
please to avoid another flogging... respect the Yoruba
culture, obas and laws then you will have nothing to
worry about,
cause now the igbos are painting a bad picture of them
on Yoruba minds. don't let other Yoruba's react ohh.
just an advice. God bless Nigeria.
Phones / Re: This Airtel Backlash Is Misguided! by etengo: 9:40am On Dec 06, 2013
texazzpete:

Thank you for mirroring my very words. If you don't like Airtel's service (including their data plans) move away from the network. It took me less than 2 hours to port from Airtel to Etisalat.

This has nothing to do with me 'having change in my pocket'. Airtel BIS was never intended for use in Android phones. People were taking advantage of an exploit that has now been closed. This backlash IS unwarranted.

That said, my OP addresses the main reason why the exploit was so vigorously pursued in the first place. People wanted cheaper Internet for their Android devices. The real conversation here is the provision of more affordable data bundles to the people who aren't exactly high income earners. That discussion is best held at the level of the NCC, or with all the carriers taken on at once (Glo, MTN , Etisalat, Airtel).

Targeting Airtel alone is unfair, unreasonable and useless.

Do you people know that if everyone here contributes a minimum of N1000, we can take out a half page ad in Guardian Newspapers to write an open letter to the NCC and all the carriers? cheesy

abeg tell them
