Brother, I replied your e-mail earlier on but don't know if you've checked it or not.

Don't be sad. You would be fine. Just be motivated.

Please post again all the three interview scripts here and also, tell us what has changed in your application this time because this is what the VO will be looking out for before he or she decides whether to approve or disapprove.

Having a good SAT and scholarship is cool, but if you don't know how to maximum them in the process of interview, you are bound to fail. I will reveal some tricks to you about that.

Please Deetus do reveal those tricks.. I'd love to learn from it also.. thank you much

Comparions are made using standard situations and not exceptional ones.

A/L program is designed for two years.

I like the word "designed"

What the heck is the "college of distinction"? Please explain.

Since you used "heck" I'd rather assume it's not a viable reason to choose a school.

what do you recommend in selecting a quality Business school?

Doesn't matter what tone or language you use to communicate with me. Your observations and corrections are highly appreciated

You applied to just 1 school - a school with over 90% acceptance rate and one that did not ask you for a GMAT/GRE? That really isn't a serious school... that sounds more like a visa mill... simply taking advantage of desperate international "students" looking for a route to immigrate to the US.

The easiest way to assess your educational bonafides is the quality of program you got accepted into and the number of schools that were seeking to admit you. In both cases you flunked badly. It doesn't help that you've been denied 2ce before.

Great observation! I will research on more schools and take the GMAT. Thanks for your comment. Really Helpful

20 graduate student shocked per course and majority 9 to 14 .... grin grin

Don't confuse student teacher ratio to overall number of students per year . Ok that enough for me . You obvious dont know what you are talking about

Actually, you are saying what you know nothing about.
From ignorant talks on British Education System to Shepherd University. Thanks for not being enough help. All the best.

Isnt the above what i have been saying..... when you finish secondary school that exam is GCE O levels result , after that students go to a 2 years program / college to get and seat for an A level which is an entry requirement

Advanced Level, A-levels come after secondary school GCSEs hence why their degrees are 3 years because students do a 2 years advance college program before the 3yrs

No we not saying the same thing.

If you finish from for example Chrisland College Lagos, you only need 10 months to do your A-Level. 2.5million naira. Pass it and you will be in a UK university doing a 3yr program.

The year a school was founded doesnt tell all the story neither is it an indication of a good or ok program. .... what you need to check is the quality of the program you want to attend . Although the school is over 100 years it has 265 number of post graduate students. If it was ok or good for masters wont it have more post graduate student ?

Also Shepherd University MBA was accredited in 2015 ... just 2 years ago ... . Your research should lead you on whether its an ok program . The Vo might not think it is ...if i were you since you had 3 delay i would only go back with a more quality program

I just had to reply to this.

Only a few graduate courses have more than 20 graduate students, with the majority in the 9-14 graduate student range (the ideal for student learning with a degree of diversity of thought and depth of education–in other words, just enough and not too many!)

Having more PG students will be of what benefit?

MBA program was founded in 2005 under the accreditation of HLC (1850) and recently received specialized accreditation for its business programs from International Assembly for Collegiate Business Education (IACBE) 2015.

Going back with a "more quality program" . Well thank you so much.. I'd research more on other quality Business schools if that was an issue with my Visa Delay

This my last response .... Imperial college go and check their requirement to enter... it is your gcse result and A level result . Students in Uk all attend a 2 year college before University.

Yes it might not be listed as the duration but it's a mandatory requirement in the Uk to enter after you finish your A level or foundation .... it might not be stated as you have mentioned because it's a given

In the Uk, you cannot enter directly from secondary school and complete a BSc in 3 years post secondary

This is my Last Response

I do not know what you mean by the 2year college before University--I wouldn't comment so I don't misconstrue.

Entry Requirement to Imperial College or Most Uni in the United Kingdom

NCUK Northern Consortium UK is an entry requirement and it's from Sep- June 10months

GCE A Level 10months

Chrisland College - Lagos Nigeria
Cambridge College - Lagos Nigeria
Oxbridge College - Lagos Nigeria
Kings London -- United Kingdom

In addition with your IELTS for International Students. with this, you can gain admission to any 3yrs Institution in the UK except you required to do a foundation program for a year. You see I said 3years.

PS we went off course. I need advice on my Visa chances not debate on British educational system which you clearly do not know much about.

The british model is not just 3 years .... after secondary school they go to A level college for an intensive a level program. Have u seen what it takes to get an A to get into a good program in the Uk .... some program accept one year foundation but most program it is 2 years A level ..

So british system is not a 3 years program after secondary school . It really 3 years after A College

Thank you for your response

Duration completing an A-level doesn't count as Duration to complete a degree in the UK. With the required credentials I can firmly tell you it takes 3years to complete a BSc (Hons) in England.

" In England, Wales and Northern Ireland an honors degree is typically completed over a three-year period, though there are a few intensified two-year courses (with less vacation time). Bachelor's degrees (without honors) were typically completed in two years for most of the twentieth century. " -- Wikipedia

England Institutions take 3years to complete a BSc.

Imperial College of London 3yrs BEng Computing
The University of Queensland 3yrs Bachelor of
Information Technology

The List goes on....

Please advise on what can change my status prior to reapplying... Thanks

Shepherd University in West Virginia. Lol if I say you're not a serious student now, all these post hunters will start talking. The poor VOs.

Thank you for your response

I'd like to know why you think I am unserious because I applied to Shepherd University which it's College of Business is among 61 Public Universities and Colleges to be awarded by College of Distinction USA.

With your reasons to your assertion of me being an unserious student, I'd be able to know what to do to better my chances next time which is most important.

truth is, Most American schools (the ok ones) require 4 year bachelor degrees(They are very strict with this rule) , that is why they always give a caveat about Indian school on their admissions page, since they award 3 year bachelor degrees. It would be very hard to convince anyone with a less than 4 year undergrad degree.

Thank you for your response

Please note the 3years degree is not just about Indian schools. This is the standard Bachelor's duration in the United Kingdom and other countries including India. Bsc 3yrs in the United Kingdom and 4yrs in the USA

MBA takes 1yr in UK and 2years in the USA.

Doesn't take the credibility of those programs thus the need for Evaluating Companies as requested by some USA higher Institutions.

PS

"ok schools" accept 3years International BSc

Carnegie Mellon University
Darden School of Business, University of Virginia
Northwestern University
Tuck School of Business at Dartmouth
The University of North Carolina at Charlotte
Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania
Whitman School of Management, Syracuse University
Zicklin School of Business, Baruch College

The list goes on. Moreso Shepherd University was founded in 1871.. I'd like to know why you think it's not an "Ok" school. Maybe I misconstrue

In english terms it still 2 years..... it appears to be an accelerated program but you completed it in 2 years not 3

Also bsc less than 4 years done in 2 years self... hummm. Doesn't speak well of the program

Thank you once again

4 months per semester

Total Course Duration should be 2years 11months recognized as 3years degree program. I made up for September 2013 first semester during my Summer break. I registered my first semester courses in Summer Semester(which was solely for students with carry-overs) and made up which was a recommended option from my Undergrad Institution.

I am aware that BSc in Nigeria is based on the USA Education model and it takes 4years to complete. However, the education system in the Republic of Benin is based on the British model which takes three years to complete. I don't think because it's three years should take the credibility of the program.

PS it takes 12 months to complete Grad school in Uk as opposed 2years in the USA.

I also had my Credentials evaluated by WES as requested by my Grad School in the USA. With the aim to evaluate my degree as equivalent to a U.S. bachelor’s degree thus my admission approval after Evaluation and official report sent to the Grad school.

Sorry about your delay

If you resumed in Feb 2014 and graduated in 2016 that is 2 years and not 3 years ..
.

Thank you

Let me break it down now!

I explained to my Undergrad school I couldn't wait for September Intake. Undergrad school gave me an option to start from 2nd semester Feb 2014 provided I do my first semester during Summer which I did. So I did 3 semesters in 2014 (Feb 2014, Summer Semester and Sep 2014) , did two semesters in 2015 ( Feb 2015 and Sep 2015) Did my final semester in 2016 ( Feb 2016 [ Final Year 2nd Semester] )

Total of 6 semesters for 3years Program.

On my Transcript, it's stated 2013/2014 session

Year of Entry: 2013 (General Year of Entry for 2013/2014 session even if I didn't start 2013 Sep First semester and was in Nigeria at that time which the Embassy is fully aware)

QUESTION:
1. I understand the easy mixup.. what do I do?
School Year of Entry for all 2013/2014 students is 2013. I started 2014 and made up for first semester during Summer (which is used for students with Carry-overs and Late resumptions like me)

2.What else do you think might have been the problem looking at my transcript?

Thanks for reading through and helping.

F1 VISA APPLICATION DENIED AUG 23 2017

TRANSCRIPT BELOW PLEASE ANALYSE AND ADVISE

PROFILE:
Applied for F1 Visa Undergraduate level 2013 December and 2014 January ( BOTH DENIED)

VO: Good morning, can you pass your Passport?
Me: Yes sure. (passed my passport containing my I-20 and Sevis )
VO: What are you going for?
Me: I am going for my Masters in Business Administration with a concentration in Public Management
VO: Where is this school you applied to? (staring at my I-20 intensely)
Me: Shepherd University is in Shepherdstown West Virginia ( discovered later on my way home that it's Martinsburg WV which is the location of the graduate studies that's written on my I-20)
VO: How many schools did you apply to?
ME: I researched on few schools and once I made my decision I applied to Shepherd University
VO: (Cuts in) How many schools did you apply to?
Me: 1
VO: Did you write GRE or GMAT
Me: No, it was not required for admission in Shepherd University
VO: So why do you want to Study MBA?
Me: As a Computer Scientist and an aspiring entrepreneur, I believe acquiring a standard business education is essential prior to kick starting my entrepreneurial career. MBA will help me understand the intricacies of Business and also expose me to Business models and Successful business practices which I can utilize in my entrepreneurial career.
VO: Ok. What's your highest educational degree?
ME: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science
VO: When did you complete your BSc
Me: Last year 2016
VO: What I do not understand is how you completed your degree in two years.
ME: *confused* Actually Computer Science is a 3years program in the Republic of Benin
VO: But it states you were here 2014
Me: Yes but I resumed Feb 2014 that's 3years ( honest but still confused myself at that point)
VO: So why Shepherd University?
Me: Well it has an amazing resource that's just established called Center for Regional Innovation. This gives a physical space that offers office amenities to support Internship and Research. With this students can now do their internships on campus with companies off campus without having the need to commute and also attend classes easily. Students will also be imbibed in the culture of collaborative learning and creative inspiration. All these factors made Shepherd University a perfect fit for my entrepreneurial goal.

VO types for a while..like she's been doing all through the interview.. possibly taking notes of our conversation..this point my mind was blank.. didn't know what to expect.

VO: thank you for you interest bla bla bla (you know the rest of the sad lines)
Me: Sighed in disappointment again...

Hit by Tricycle at Ikeja..just smiled in thanksgiving that I didn't break a leg (lol no pun intended)
