Ok!being an ardent listner of nigerian music, have been able to listen some incredible singers with nice vocal appeal that have been able to break the jinx of conventional nigerian kind of song.the below have the vocal masterpiece and have being making nigeria proud!!below are the top twelve nigerian vocalist you probably never knew!
12.TIWA SAVAGE-yea!after her return from the states,tiwa savage stole the heart of nigerian music lovers with her hit single "kele kele love",with a soft and tiny sonorous voice,she released the jam "love me love me" tiwa might not be good in performing ballad due to the nature of her voice,buh her vocal is top notch.

11.CHIDINMA-this pretty damsel from imo state,didn't just stop at winning the mtn project fame...she pivoted herself into the nigeria music scence,tho she has delve into the conventional nigeria kind of music of "all beat no substance" buh we can't forget the beautiful rendition of "jankoliko" with a high pitch tone kind of voice...chidinma is a good performer of rnb and ballard...her smash single "kite" is a perfect depiction.

8.ASA-multiple award winning song stress,asa has been able to break the jinx by missing african culture with good music...most people migt argue she is at the average,but asa tiny,light encrypted,sonorous voice as been put to practise in songs like "jailer" and "eyo"...asa has her way with the keys...she is damn good!

7.TY BELLO-Tho she has gone awol,probably to pursue her career in photograhy...ty bello this baritone vocal that makes her sound like a man sometimes! She is also good at growling with a nice octave range..songs like "greenland" and "ekundayo" are perfect examples.

6.DAREY ART ALADE- Son to the legendary musician "art alade" darey has posited himself to be one of the top male vocalist we have in nigeria,often tipped as nigeria's john legend! Darey has the thick,baritone voice that is also good for opera kind of singing...darey comibines good vocals and the ability to switch to any genre of pleasure..songs like "not the girl" is a perfect postulaton.

Omawummi is incredible when it comes to vocal rendition..high note voice,screeching,growling,bakground "oohs" and "ahhs"..she is blessed with the vocals...smash hits like "in the music" "chocolata" "bottom belle","breeze blow" and her last hit "megbele" are all perfect depiction of her vocal prowess.

2.COBHAMS ASUQUO..Blind but talented vocalist,pianist and songster...mr cobhams is not only talented in singing but he is also good with the piano and he is also the brain behind smash hitting singles from omawummi and timi dakolo...cobhams has mentored alot of vocalist and he is the father of good music in nigeria..(my opinion tho)..he is also a good song writer and a wonderful producer. Don't know if i am the only one that have taken cognisance of the recent trend...over sixty percent of nigeria musicians shoots their musical video outside the shores of the country especially south africa and the united kingdom being their top destinations! Still cnt fathom the rationale behind that..is it that videos shot in nigeria are not classy or below par? why must our artiste take their vidoes shooting outside the shores when they are cool locations here in nigeria.your contributions are welcomed...
