Interesting topic. To answer the question: I don't think it's genetic. I know people who have Ugly handwritings and their Parents don't. Handwriting is a learned activity. If the Parents are well learned, chances are that the offsprings will also be inculcated with good, proper handwriting. It is all a product of the creative ability, also how early and how well the child is introduced to proper handwriting practice. I have a very beautiful handwriting if I do say so myself ![]() When I was in secondary school, I used to maintain different handwritings for some specific subjects and you will hardly believe they all belonged to the same person! It nearly got me into trouble though. I have a primary handwriting which is the main one, then others according to my mood. All beautiful. My parents and siblings likewise all have fine writings but one of the finest handwritings I've seen belong to my cousin and uncle. I started writing quite early though, and I can also write ugly to disguise or when I'm not in the mood. 3 Likes |

cutegentility: Expose yourself to new environments and new people, make new friends (obviously those who speak better than you do) and engage yourself in conversations everyday. Consume more international content- English speaking music, movies, radio, news, YouTube etc. Lastly, read, read, read, read and read: Books, articles, magazines, etc. Cut out pidgin English/broken, make deliberate effort to converse only in proper English. You will get better gradually. ![]() 3 Likes |
