Nwigbo SAN Urges FCC Commissioner To Apologise, Resign Over Alleged Certificate Fraud and Immoralities

Human Rights Lawyer, Ebuka Eze Nwigbo, on Friday, urged the Commissioner representing Enugu State at the Federal Character Commission, Ginika Florence Tor to resign and stop insulting the Easterners and most especially Enugu people following her unclarified stands on the allegations of Certificate Forgeries, Immoralities and other related Offences.

*The embattled Commissioner came under heavy criticism last week Thursday after police invitation letter surfaced, where she was detained and grilled for 8 hours on offences of Forgery and using as genuine forged documents in which her name features prominently.

The details of the police invitation of Enugu FCC Commissioner, Ginika Florence Tor on Certificates Forgery investigation are contained in a leaked memo dated February 19, 2024.

Certificate forgery is a prevalent and detrimental practice in Nigeria, it undermines the credibility of educational and professional qualifications, hindering individual's legitimate aspirations and impeding the country's economic progress.

A socio political group under the aegis of Nigerian Citizens Action Group (NCAG) has reinstated its claim that Commissioner representing Enugu State in the Federal Character Commission presented a forged Certificate for appointment.

In a Friday evening press release signed by Comrade Salahudeen A. Lukman on behalf of NCAG on Friday February 23, 2024, the group pointed fingers at the Commissioner representing Enugu state at the Federal Character Commission in Abuja, Mrs Tor Florence Ginika for Certificate forgery.

It said, "our indepth and independent investigation revealed that Mrs Tor Florence Ginika, the representative of Enugu state Federal at FCC forged the certificate she claimed to possess.

Mrs Tor Florence Ginika should come forward to defend the certificates she presented for appointment.
Nigerians will assume Florence Tor, Commissioner representing Enugu state at FCC is a woman of integrity or a patriotic citizen; but she is a person of questionable character.

Our further checks revealed that as at 11am on Thursday, 22nd February, 2024, she was at the Force Criminal Investigation Department (FCID) in Abuja being grilled for alleged certificate forgery that lasted till around 3:30pm on the said date.

Comrade Ejiofor added that, "like we have pledged to dig further into the dirty dealings of the corruption personified Federal Commissioner, no stone will be left unturned to unravel her other shaddy activities for the public to know that she is not a worthy representative of the good people of Enugu state".
