My visa was delayed today Lagos embassy December 11
The last window a white guy.

VO: your I 20 and passport
Me:Good morning sir
VO:Goodmorning your I 20 and your passport .
Me:here your go sir .
VO:why are you going to the US?
Me:I am going to East Central University Ada Oklahoma state for my degree program in business administration and management.
VO:when did you finish high school?
Me: 2009
Red Flag Number 1: 8 Years Gap is enormous

VO:what did you do after that ?
Me:I want to obtain my bachelor's in history and international relations
VO:A bachelor's
Me: Yes exactly( the question was coming very fast )
VO:why not a master in BA
At this point , your fate was decided, you're about tk spend thousands of dollars for another liberal arts degree in a third tier school; This further raises another red flag

Me:wanted to advance after my bachelors
VO:how many school did you apply to (honestly) I answered 4 name them
Me:Kettering university ,HCC ,Centennial collage and ECU
VO:you are aware HCC don't offer a BA
The VO cornered you here real good. and strengthened his resolve to deny you the visa , because you went ahead to waste application fees on a school, that didn't offer what you were looking for; Huge red flag sign of a desperado.
Me: yes that why i didnt go on with the admission
VO:who is your sponsor ?
Me:my dad.
VO: what does he do !
Me :he just retired from EEDC and is running his vagitable oil business .

So he said sorry you are not qualified bla bla bla bla so I left need advice would like to get it right next time thanks .......
all this was just formality, dude already resolved to deny you minutes ago.
CONCLUSION: Aim for a Postgraduate degree, in a somewhat better school.

I greet everyone. pls I keep hearing of "Statement of Purpose" what is it and at what point in the application process does it come into play?
It's a fancy type of application letter you write, stating your plans, for some graduate schools admissions; all intending doctoral Candidates are under compulsion to write one, while some Masters (Thesis Based) require it.

You always think anyone saying the fact is some kinda agent or staff you no get sense walahi..... check my posts if you see anything relating to Mtn

No Signs of brain Gerrarahia
This is exactly the reason the world considers us idiots. All these idiots on this thread expect data to last them for a specified number of days when it clear that they bought data bundle and not time bundle. Ask for a screen shot of their data usage, and they will start accusing you of being an MTN staff

lol he didn't tell me when he applied for a visa now, did he?

lol he's asking for accommodation, for how long? Does that accommodation include helping pay some of his bills, driving him around to everywhere he wants to go and/or lending him my car to move around? There is a lot that he does not appear to have factored into his decisions.
grin grin grin Favor will definitely follow him and help him pull through ...

Seems you didn't plan well in advance. I will caution you, this is not a country where people simply "accommodate" people. You are expected to be independent and make your own plans. Hopefully you'll find some Nigerian willing to help.
So, you can't help your brother with a 1200sq ft. Apartment? grin grin grin... wicked Nigerian!! grin grin grin grin

What the heck is wrong with your head man?
Do you know their financial situation? Do you know their locations? Or current situation..
Just dey run your mouth like BlackFace

Until you approach people with meekness.. Me and you go die for this group.. If na you be Embassy when dey issue dates ooh you go tell me..

I believe this guys have been rejected before.. That's why there is a delay... So understand from their view... They want answers to their questions.. Not salt to their injury.
Don't go be a snitch in America bro... That's how they talk to people who try do what they done... Be ye humble
This honestly makes little sense; in the real world where deadlines have life and death hanging in the balance, time is of the essence. The F-1 visa isn't a B1/B2 take-it-slow vacation jamboree, its the first step to rewriting a new chapter of ones life, and if you can't freaking plan this, then you have no excuse, none at all.
PS: You most certainly don't have to reply this.

So unranked MBA at LINCOLN UNIVERSITY OAKLAND CA can cause a VISA denial?
No No No... Certainly not, people get F-1 visas to go study at Lincoln, but you need to at least show that, even it would be a financial gamble gone wrong, you can take the Financial hit without loosing a limb. If you're Going to spend your life savings, coming from a not so rich family, on a not so great school, then it raises not so good questions.

Hello, please I intend to take GRE early next year, I've been following this thread for about three years now, and there used to be a way of getting access to some preparatory materials via email canned response.

I would appreciate it if I can have access to the materials as well. Thanks
You have been following for three years; yet you don't know about scholasticas GRE thread; yet you don't know femi312's GRE mantra post, that has been reposted like a bajillion times here. grin grin grin grin... being here 3 years ago, and being here for 3 years are two different things sir grin grin grin...

I had my interview a couple of days ago. Visa delayed.

VO: hello
Me: hello
Vo: pass your passport and i20 pls.
Vo: what school are u attending?
Me: Lincoln university, Oakland California to begin my MBA with a concentration in management information systems.
Yes, some people have gotten their Visas with Lincoln university, but to spend $XX,000 On an MBA from an unranked school (even Lagos Business schools is a better alternative) will not seem like a wise investment to a very strict VO( that interviewed you)
Vo: what's your highest qualification?
Me: bsc
Vo: what course?
Me: industrial chemistry
Vo: What year did u finish?
Me: 2012
Nothing at all wrong here

Vo: what have u been doing since then?
Me: I've been working in my parents vegetable oil production company and since my dad is late, I'm expected to run d place in a few years. This is actually why I'm going for d mba, to acquire the necessary professional skills.
Vo: OK, what do u do there?
Me: I work in d fractionation department
Well, the VO simply didn't buy this answer; the average Nigerian graduate doesn't want to end up working in their parents SME, even entrepreneurial grads prefer to stay on their feet. Next time, you can simply say your work at an Agricultural Processing plant. Never volunteer more information than is neccessary
Vo: what other schools did u apply to?
Me: California state university, east bay.
Vo: did u get admitted?
Me: unfortunately, no
Vo: why were u targeting d San Francisco bay area
Me: because of the diversity in d place, I'll get to meet pple from all over d world, learn from them and have new experiences, which is vital for growth. Without new experiences, u recycle your thinking.
Again, very unconvincing, the bay area is one of the most expensive areas in cali, and considering that you're paying heavily for an unranked MBA in one of the most expensive cities on earth, it further makes little financial sense; No offence there.

Vo: OK. I'm sorry u do not qualify for a visa at this time.
What did I say wrong?? He had denied three people seeking f1 visas just before me. He looked strict and businesslike. He was typing all through and was barely looking me.
Unranked MBA + Expensive City + Weak Employment History = your denial

If you don't know Man there is racism inside the Embassy... If the most powerful house is called the "White House".
This black VO don't wanna seem like they helping blacks like them get through... So they are very careful and harsh..

There is the law.. So also there is the luck.
or maybe the Black VO's are simply more impervious to the Nigerian Fraudulent ways
