No, but it increases the number of schools you can apply too. Some schools like uni seigen, uni Paderborn, Bayreuth, etc accepts English proficiency letter from your university in place of IELTS for certain courses. Although, It's best you send a mail to your schools of interest inquiring if English proficiency letter would be accepted for your desired program. MrRomanticLover: 2 Likes |

H+/- means some courses/programs may be recognized while others may not be in that particular university or institution. Check the ababin site and filter it properly, you should get more information on the courses recognised and the ones not recognised in the institution anotherguyonNL: 1 Like |

Why not send the course coordinator an email, the mail address can be found on the course webpage, that way you get a more reliable answer charliesyndrom: |

Sponsorship letter from Nigeria? Sponsorship letter must be issued by a legal resident or registered legal entity in Germany and the Foreign Office in Germany, is the authority that decides whether the host meets the criteria to become your financial sponsor or not klique: |

Some schools actually accepts proficiency letter for bachelor's degree, but very very few schools. As at 2019 these schools accepted proficiency letter for bsc, you could check them out; Fulda-- international business and management Umwelt-campus birkenfeld- sustainable business and technology Hamm-lipstadt-- electronic engineering I think deggendorf-- international business.. etc brownace: |

If it's via the embassy, whether you mention it or not, they know. If you know the reason for rejection and have rectified it, then you can put it in there. Personally, I don't think it has any effect if you write about it or not. If the vo has any questions about it, he/she would definitely ask you. mrbrodaman: |

The TestAs is to enable apply for category A, if you score 80 and above. That's not true. Cost of education is "free" for both masters and bachelor's degree program in public Universities except for schools in Baden-Württemberg that charge as low as 1500€ KahyePubg: |

With HND I doubt you would find any, do a little research on it you might find something Category A and B booking is the new booking system the embassy adopted last year.. they placed recent graduates(2017) who graduated with 1st class and second class upper going for masters or PhD in category A(priority list) while the rest in B... Go through the embassy website, you would understand better NEROSKY: |

HND can only get you a bachelor's degree admission which would take you like 3-4years to complete. Their's a summary of the whole process on the first page of this thread(although a few things have changed like the process of booking appointment date). Reading previous parts would also help understand the process better Best of luck NEROSKY: 1 Like |

Did the school you are applying to ask you to submit a recommendation letter? If yes, they would clearly tell you on the admission requirements page which one they need (from work place, from professor, etc) and how many they need. dxpx: |

For continuous assessment, it's totally dependent on the professor or lecturer taking the course. Some would give you group work, mid term test, project etc for some marks(20-40marks) while exams takes the remaining, for some it's 100% examination, some exams are term paper Exam pattern is also dependent on the professor/lecturer. For example I'm writing a paper this semester and the professor already told us it's going to be 20 objective questions each questions carrying 5marks.. some exams are like the Nigerian explain, define pattern, sometimes the professor can decide to set subjective questions, sometimes you get objective and theory, sometimes oral exams(one of the toughest to do). The biggest problem with examination here is time, the questions are usually bulky and most time not straight to the point(you know all those questions that starts with stories"if you are the manager of so so company and bla bla happens"., you must understand the course content. Some professors are nice enough to provide formulary for you during exams but with bulky questions, some even allow dictionary. Just as the grading system looks scary, the marking system is actually favourable, hmm well depends on the professor taking the course too. IMustWin: 2 Likes 1 Share |

The steps are clearly explained on the certification page via the embassy website. Go through it First you book an appointment, you also need the school application form, you have to present the original documents too... Aizenosa: 1 Like |

I actually haven't seen someone using this certification. But yea any state ministry would be recognized. High court, notary public and the embassy are the recognized institutions for certification I know of. N/b-- pay attention to the institution specified by the University. Though every University accepts certification from the German embassy. IMustWin: 1 Like 1 Share |

Then it means you missed my point. I agree with your friend, there are more opportunities in some Field than others doesn't in mean "others" have no opportunites at all. My disagreement with him is saying people in some particular field shouldn't bother traveling to Germany, you don't come out generalizing negatively because you know someone in such case with a bad story, their are also people that pass through such case with a good ending. Now imagine the guy I said working with claas read such post and decided to do something he has no interest in because people said it's lucrative and ends up being sent out because he couldn't cope. (or do you think everyone in the said lucrative field succeds here, I know some computer science, material science, graudates in paderborn University doing a second degree because of inability to secure a job immediately after graduating) Bottom line is if you have strong passion in your field STEM or not, Pursue it, get yourself very equiped, you would be alright.. if you know you don't have passion for it then think about starting afresh in the "lucrative fields" but be sure you can cope there or you have yourself to blame (A friend doing Economics in paderborn University too has just one trial in one compulsory course and would be exmatriculated if he fails this time again, he studied Marketing** in Ghana and heard Economics has one of the highest prospect in socal science Field after graduating in Germany which is true, he didn't listen when they told him it's also one of the most difficult) Ma ya look away now , exams in few weeks. Please if you are told it's not lucrative, seat back home and not pursue your dreams ok! Nobody will tell you about that friend that got a job studying a non STEM course, it's always about that friend that got rejected because her/his hair is short. I'm studying a non STEM course and the OGs that graduated from my program, a good number of them are doing well. Get yourself properly equiped and you are good to go, if Germany doesn't work for you, your degree is very much valuable in other countries. Don't let anyone tell you to stay back just because one of there friends wasn't successful. #PeaceOut Irene150: 10 Likes |

I can bet with you the major reason your friend left Dresden is because of "students job" opportunities. Dresden is quite dry and he's definitely among the people that entered Germany with any admission not minding if they have interest in the course or not.. I also know someone that studied international Agriculture management living the life here, he works with CLAAS group. It didn't work out for your friend doesn't mean there are no opportunities there. SOEST isn't far from me, I know a graduate of that same course doing a second masters because he couldn't secure a job. Like what's your point exactly, people that are in other field and have the passion to continue shouldnt come to study in Germany or should end up studying what they don't have passion for?, Who said you must even work in Germany and not other countries?... Good! I just wanted you to correct the notion directly or indirectly that other fields shouldn't bother applying or coming to Germany, which you just did. I agree with you, you might get job easier in these fields compared to others but you still need to be good at what you do, like very good! Cause the competition in these fields aint joke princejck: 3 Likes 1 Share |

Did you say you studied in Germany?? So if you study politics, the only place yon can work or apply for a job is Bundesrat Do you know the competition now in the IT and engineering field, can you tell me everyone you know that studied engineering or IT has a job now? Yes IT, engeering, medicine, STEM generally has more job openings but that doesn't mean other fields doesn't. If like study a STEM course and not know the language or a skill in that field, you would still struggle princejck: 1 Like |
