Wait o are you saying that we can now apply for a student visa from the German embassy in abuja, I thought it was only Lagos you can apply for a student visa from.

engrola00001:
Good afternoon,
please has anybody been booked for students visa appointment in Abuja? I sent an email last week Friday for visa appointment to my surprise I was scheduled for 11.05.2018. the date is too close I was expecting mid June.

Hello Everyone,
Please i have a little concern, for those of us who already have admissions and are awaiting for April 2018 to request for our new admission letters for winter 2018/2019, do we require to certify our school documents before been granted an appointment in the German embassy, i just found a letter where they stated that we actually do need to pay 10 EUR at the embassy to do each document.

Is this needed for us who already have gained admission and seeking a visa or is it only for those who are still applying for an admission at a Germany university. Here is the document attached and please kindly see the Important section area second point....Your swift response would be appreciated..

Hi all,

How can one book appointment for document certification at the embassy against April registration?

In the Never-say-never spirit, I wrote them another email

Thank you for the timely response. It is unfortunate that prospective students find themselves in this situation. However, there are courses run in some schools during the Winter semester only (e.g Development studies in Uni Passau), this means that students have to wait another year, re-apply then pay another application fee. This is emotionally draining, it will be helpful if the embassy can look into providing an alternative for students who do not have the opportunity to defer their admission or whose courses only run during the winter semester.

If it is possible to move such prospective students to the Abuja embassy for interview, it will be reassuring & calming.

------
In addition to my previous email, it is important for me to bring to your attention that some students who have gotten an appointment will not show up due to problems of funding their blocked account.
Also, I implore you to look into increasing the number of VO attached to your Lagos embassy so as to optimize this process.
This is a delicate period for the embassy and students, we appreciate the effort being put in place but the way this situation is handled will make or mar the future of a lot of prospective students.

I trust your competent office to proffer a solution soon.

So fingers crossed, let us be hopeful. All the people affected should reach out to the embassy too.

Nice job Davincii, this whole issue has been really disturbing, please can you pm me your direct contact number.

Exactly, i am have sent my number and awaiting your message on whatsapp

Renewable0216:

Good job @daaviincii

Why not do a follow up mail to subtly fault their premise that they have been booked out given that some with interview dates have not funded their accounts and won't show up on the interview dates.

Also, implore them if they can optimize their process(like get another VO or some other thing they can do) so that more people can be received at the Embassy.

Impossible is nothing.

Let's keep throwing suggestions at them so that they can think of something.

Nice job again Bro.

Thumbs up!

Thanks alot bro, lets keep praying and hopefully by the Grace of God something positive will happen, in regards to my previous post on opening a block account kindly let me know how i am to fill the TIN number and also the authority or consulate i am to use for blocking confirmation.

Kasich:

Bro good morning,

Still waiting for the responses of mails I sent to a couple of German consulates, the truth is that there is no way other African consulates can help us out on this because from the conversations I have had on phone with like 3 of them ( Ghana, Cameroon, and Kenya) they are not authorized to handle Nigerian passports for the German foreign ministry. The Ghanaian official I spoke with more recently explained to me that after interviews should your application be successful, they will need to send your internstional passport to Germany for authorization abi what did she call it, that the German foreign ministry will only accept Ghanaian and Liberian passport from them. The said I could only apply with them if I have either one of them.

So my brother as it stands we are in a fix, I just pray their foreign ministry will go through my mail and find a way to authorize another consulate to handle our passports because the problem is not in the interview, because they are many Germans in other embassies capable of interviewing us.

I don't want to be posting things that will disappoint people here, that's why I've kept mum since, but trust me once I get any slight way out, I'll write it here in a heartbeat.

So let us keep trying the different ways we think will work, my tools are both my phone and laptop. Keep hope alive, cause you never know...

Guten morgen everyone,
Please i am currently opening my block account through Fintiba and need some guidance on these areas

For the area of TIN Tax identification number: Im I to use

Yes i have a TIN,

No i dont have a TIN or
No there are no TINS in my country

before dropping my passport number as the TIN number.

Then for the Fiscal country should i make use of Nigeria or Germany.

Lastly on the area of Blocking Agreement, for which authority do you need your blocking confirmation, is it Germany??.
I just want to confirm to be sure not to make any mistakes, a swift response will be much appreciate.

Kasich:

I mailed them too on Friday and even called them, but the lady I spoke with Gave me this same reply. Then I wrote to the German consulate in Lagos that they should refer us there themselves to see if they can help out, but unfortunately the person handling the mail sent me the exact same mail they sent me before stating that they are fully booked.

I've written Kenya and Cameroon still waiting for their response, if none of this works out I'll have to write Angela Merkel and copy every single official on Twitter. Something can be done.

This is exactly the same problem i am facing right now, having to get an appointment date, @ kasich please as soon as you get a response can you share can i have your email so i can be in direct contact with you for @neccki na God go bless you i am seeing all the help you are rendering to us new comers.

gabi101:

hello, after getting your admission letter you apply for interview by attaching and sending the following documents to the given email address at the embassy website: Your admission letter(pdf),e-passport and fintiba account,DB or sponsorship letter. After this you wait for a reply from the embassy to give you an appointment date.

#ENJOY!!! smiley

Hi guys...

Happy weekend to everyone.

I sense there's been a lot of tension in here lately, spats and blows flying around...

I don't think we have luxury of time to afford such distractions...Time is of the essence.

It happened that I got my admission since early June but due to some inexplicable difficulties, I'm yet to get my admission letter...

With the new development at the German Embassy, I'm really unhappy about how things look at the moment

But then, a wise man once said, when there's a will, there will always be a way! Impossible is nothing!
I'm very hope that #Winter2017 is very possible.

I believe there are very intelligent folks here...We just need to harness our will power, time and intellect to hatch out a feasible plan.
It's obvious we can't leave things to chances or throw our hands in the air...We can still cause a change!

I'm proposing a group of five people who are yet to get interview dates and are very optimistic that we can still pull this off.
I believe just 5 people will do and then we can share with others how we got the job done!

Let's take the bull by the horns guys! We can pull this off!

I got some ideas already but sharing it here...Not for now!
Too much cook spoil the....

If you want to join this indefatigable team:

Criteria: You need to get to Germany this September but you're yet to get an appointment date.
2.) Polyannish and never backing down in the face of challenges
3.) Resourceful and Dedicated

If you think you qualify, PM me or send me a mail at renewable0126@gmail.com

Please, noise makers and distractors are not invited.

We'd be back with results! I promise!

Expecting!

For those who want to hkeep throwing jabs and punches...
Marzel Tov!

Your email isnt working renewable0126@gmail.com, i just emailed you and it came back

Good day everyone,
I recently just submitted my documents through uni assist for an application for a masters program this coming winter semester in October and was informed 3 days ago i met the requirements for 3 out of 4 schools i applied to and now my documents would be forwarded to the schools for final consideration on my admission. As i await my admission letter i was told today that i can make use of Fitiba i opening a block account, is this true? and if after i have opened the blocked account and received my admission letter, how long does it take for the visa process as i wish to know the next step to take immediately i receive my admission letter which i'm currently waiting for in the coming weeks. I can already see that most people here are already been admitted for this winter semester and some already have their appointment dates, please can some inbox me their contact numbers so i can call you to know the process to follow immediately after i open the block account.

The problem i am having now is to find a course that is related to health and is taught in English with their deadline to be July 15. It would definitely be under uni assist as well as they already have my documents.

That is not how German grade works. The lower the better unlike Nigeria which is , the higher the better. In German grade scale, 2.4 is better than 2.5. Check daad.de and masterportal.edu and streamline the search preference to suit your needs. Shalom

Guten tag!

I just got admitted to the Otto Von Guericke University (University of Magdeburg) for the Winter.
Applied for M.Sc in Electrical Engineering & Information Technology. God is good!
Please, who else applied to the same school? Is anyone here already schooling there or can you link me to anyone you know that schools there?

How is Magdeburg and the State Saxony Anhalt?
I'm so happy eventhough I'm still expecting the admission decisions from BTU-Cottbus and Technical University of Ingolstadt.

Goodmorning everyone,
Please i am in desperate need of assistance as i have applied to study in Germany for two years already and was declined admissions. I intend on applying to study in any university under Daad that would require a course that can grant admission with my CGPA 3.04 attained through Human physiology in Nigeria, i just learned that most schools in Germany grant above 2.5 on the German marking grade system and
my German grade is 2.4, please what course and school can i apply for to do a masters between now and July 15 2107 which is their deadline that would grant admission for a German grade of no less than 2.4 on the german marking grade system, please i will really appreciate a quick assistance from anyone, God Bless you.
