and one thing I still find disturbing with most Nipost staffs is the way they reason that any gadgets sent from abroad is label yahoo parcel they just charge you like craze they don't wanna know if u buy am through ebay, amazon, webstore or a gift through friend..seriously they need to remove that dirty thinking from there mind
Business / Re: NIPOST Reintroduces Money Order, Begins Electronic Mail Tracking by fabulouskeem(m): 9:02am On Oct 11, 2017
dey are not not dead yet I still send stuff through them but they just need real upgrade interms of online tracking and they need to change the way they package items..just like usps percel boxes. Nipost should have it own percel boxes of different sizes and have it paint in pure white with green stripe color..

hedonistic:

You're a fool. Otherwise, you wouldn't hinge an entire argument on mere speculation and assumption.

Besides, because you strayed across the border to Southern Cameroon, you allow yourself to believe that you have "travelled out", and therefore are exposed, abi? What a brainless lout.

Which democratic country in the world is "more sane" than the US that our system of government is modelled after? Even in the US, you would see drug dealers, con artists, fraudsters, and other deal makers flaunt their Bentleys, Rolexes, and other super expensive accoutrements offline and online - even on the same Instagram. You would see then making it rain in clubs and strip joints. Nobody questions their source of income or arrests them on suspicion. That's not how the law works. Instead, by spending lavishly and emitting vibes that are associated with illegal income, they may eventually attract the INVESTIGATIVE attention of law enforcement agencies, who then INVESTIGATE them, gather actionable evidence of criminality against them, BEFORE moving in to arrest them on the strength of gathered EVIDENCE OF GUILT. I doubt that you are smart enough to understand what I'm driving at here, you buffoon.

You're probably a poor rat holed up in one decrepit room in a backwater location somewhere in Nigeria, with your free Internet data bonus as the only pass you have to the outside world. Otherwise, you would know better.

Now, you're even shifting goalposts all over the place, from Hushpuppi being responsible for 'negatively' influencing young people by flaunting his lifestyle, to now not paying his taxes! Where exactly do you stand? What exactly is your argument? What the Bleep is wrong with you? Why not petition the FIRS to hop on a plane and travel to Malaysia to arrest Hushpuppi for Tax Evasion?

Talking about the FIRS, you sure don't know that the chairman of that super corrupt agency is a certain hedonistic, super wasteful example of an insanely corrupt public official called Tunde Fowler. With no known successful business, having been in public service for more than a decade now, this character in charge of your country's Tax Agency spends several millions every week on women of easy virtue alone. Not to mention other non-pussy components of his extravagant lifestyle, and associated expenditure. Sadly, fools like you would not direct your hateful gaze towards such characters feeding fat and living extravagantly on PUBLIC MONEY. Instead you would focus on a private citizen that is living life on his own terms.

I'm not responding to whatever claptrap you have to say next, because you are clearly bereft of sense.

it's not about evading tax I have been doing online biz for a very long time I know the way they charge I just sense there believe is anything that comes from the state are not legit business..if you visit Nipost frequently you will understand what am saying..officials at post only charge you handling charges which is okay but those customs at Naco will cover charge which is very wrong inshort there duty is to check if you are not bringing in prohibited goods they don't have the right to charge you for personal effect..

quote author=delishpot post=57238836]

I hope it is not a case of pot calling kettle black? If You lied that they were gifts yet you angry at officials for stealing from you. Dont you know that evading tax is like robbing the govt? [/quote]

let not forget custom charges especially any good's coming from the U.S those customs at NACO there own stealing them go use charges kill you...I could remember when I ordered 3 headphones from the state using USPS those stupid guy value the headphone themselves and charge me 23k upon the items where ticked as a 'Gift' when the goods got to Nipost office Marina, Lagos they told me there's nothing they could do to reduce the price since it's from custom office...I have to use connections to get the price reduce to 10k

those guy just dey kill person spirit to do legit online business.

Business / Re: Banks Seek Buyers As CBN Floods Market With Forex by fabulouskeem(m): 11:20am On Mar 13, 2017
well as for me I would advise CBN to madate the use of dollar card for travelers and online transactions and set a limit spending of 3000-5000usd per quarter. while the use of POS should be limit to 30usd daily n 30% charges on 100usd withdrawal. meanwhile a trestrictions should be me made on all the card to decline any form of online transfer transaction..this will curb the pressure on dollar and also encourage small online business

quote author=989900 post=54539585]

That is not a problem, ' cash withdrawals' can be suspended for now, how about POS and online?

The more you limit those (POS and online) the harder it becomes to harmonize rates, 'cause students and travelers will have no choice than the parallel market.

OTOH, if POS (especially in countries 4-5 flight hours away) and online are allowed for say $500-$1000/ month are allowed, it will greatly reduce the pressure on the 'black market' -- bringing down the rates to less than N400 in few weeks or less.

Throw in the tens of billions that will come in into the system through diaspora remittances when rates converge.

We used to have $50,000 limit on each card: withdrawals and all up till 2014/15. We could support that cause we earned more Forex from oil, and didn't have this crazy mouth-watering difference in exchange rates . . . N2-N4 was the average difference then . . . less round tripping, speculating, and hoarding creating less complex problems.

I could go on and on . . . it's all about pro active policies
