Crime / Unemployment And The Increase In Crime Rate In Nigeria by factsobserver: 1:48pm On Oct 09, 2021
Crime has become more rampant than ever in Nigeria. The heightened rate of crime in Nigeria in recent times is worrisome and disturbing. This is evident in the daily news reports of various crimes such as robbery, murder, terrorism, kidnapping, internet scam and other social media crimes. In most cases, perpetrators of these crimes are youths.
The problem of crime in Nigeria has been exacerbated by the high rate of unemployment and economic hardship which has pushed many jobless youths, some of whom are graduates, into various deadly crimes.
The youth unemployment crisis is not new, what is new is the staggering proportional increase it has reached in recent times. The unemployment problem, which now seems beyond remedy, has produced an army of idle hands and some of them have decided to punish the society that fails to provide them with means of livelihood and dignity by robbing its members of their property at gunpoint.
There is a nexus between unemployment and crime. When people cannot earn an income from legal, legitimate and social acceptable work/means; they turn to illegal activities. These acts are carried out by no other persons than the youths who are considered to be future leaders.
Unemployment is one of the major challenges in Nigeria today. In spite of thousands of graduates produced every year and an abundance of natural and human resources, the rate of unemployment is increasing at an alarming rate, daily.
Youth unemployment is a global problem affecting both developed and developing countries alike. But while the developed countries are taking the threat seriously and restructuring their education and social security systems to abate its growth and escape the imminent catastrophe, Nigeria seem not to be doing enough.
Unemployment in Nigeria today has become every youth’s nightmare. It is no longer about going to school and graduating or learning a trade, but about how to face the reality of graduating and joining the brigade of the unemployed with no hope of a better tomorrow.
Creativity and high energy are the characteristics of young people in any nation and if the energy is channelled positively, it will greatly benefit not only the economic prosperity of nations but also enhance the moral values of the youth. When the same energy is used negatively, it will lead to social unrest and economic instability.
It is quite disheartening that young people with skills, certificates and energies have nothing to offer as a result of mass unemployment, but dance to the tune of the politicians who in turn used them to manipulate, rig and destabilized elections. In most cases, after they have been used by their politician, they are dumped or left to face their fate whenever the law catches up with them. The few available jobs for the battalion of youth job-seekers are politicized unless the job seeker is “connected”.
This sad reality offers an explanation as to the reason most Nigerian youths are resorting to crime as an alternative means of survival due to unemployment.
No nation can achieve growth or any form of stability that will enhance socio-economic development in an atmosphere of crime, and its antecedent chronic youth unemployment.
If factors that create the feeling of deprivation and frustration created by youth unemployment in Nigeria are addressed, crime would be reduced to the barest minimum.
We need a system that works, a government that caters for its citizens, especially the youths, empowering them to take up different vocations and be useful to themselves and the society at large

In their book The Elements of Journalism, Bill Kovach and Tom Rosenstiel identify the essential principles and practices of journalism. Journalism’s first obligation, according to them, is to the truth. This “journalistic truth” is a process that begins with the professional discipline of assembling and verifying facts. Then journalists try to convey a fair and reliable account of their meaning, subject to further investigation.

Most stories have at least two sides. While there is no obligation to present every side in every piece, stories should be balanced and well contextualised. Objectivity is not always possible, and may not always be desirable but impartial and objective reporting builds trust and confidence.

The model of the online ruffle-rousing platform, Sahara Reporters, falls short of the above definition of real journalism. Sahara Reporters, an online news based in New York, with a focus on Nigeria, is notorious for publishing half-truth, libellous and disparaging stories against individuals and organisations often without slightest recourse to Kovach and Rosentiel’s principles of what journalism should be.

Sahara Reporters has gotten away with series of unethical stories since 2006, and the list of their victims is by now a very long one. The latest of such slanderous shot was aimed at Alhaji Nasiru Danu linking him to an alleged N51 billion fraud against the Nigerian government, through the Nigerian Customs.

Mr Danu, in a report published by SaharaReporters on Friday, was named among other (unnamed) top officials who were alleged to have siphoned money meant to improve the Nigeria Customs Service, a part of which was allegedly transferred to a foundation owned by President Muhammadu Buhari’s daughter, Zahra.

The scant “story” would placated interest of readers as yet another expose of corrupt activities of our political elite, but for the fact that it was coming from an outfit so well-known with dishing out falsehoods.

Reacting to the report, Mr Danu, through a March 6, 2021 letter to SaharaReporters by his lawyer, Bode Olanipekun of Wole Olanipekun & Co., described the publication as false, baseless and malicious. The elaborate letter is worth quoting in some details to properly point out the folly in Sahara Reporter’s gibberish:

“With particular reference to the Nigeria Customs Service, our client has informed us that he is not in any business relationship whatsoever with the Nigeria Customs Service and reference to him as part of a “Revenue Assurance Fraud”, or any scheme by which money was allegedly siphoned from the Nigeria Customs Service is deficient in any factual basis whatsoever. Emphatically, our client denies being part of any fraud including that alleged in your publication as involving “N51 billion,” Mr Danu said in his rebuttal.

“In the same vein, our client asserts, in the most vehement manner possible, that he did not transfer, or know about any transfer of N2.5 billion to any foundation, which he is purportedly a signatory to.

“From the content of your publication under issue, the undisguised import, aim, purport and intention it set out to achieve was/is to injure our client’s reputation and name, as well as deflate his estimation in the eyes of well-meaning people. With all respect, what is discernible from your publication under reference is acute malice, spite, viciousness and predetermination to lower and diminish the esteem of our client.

“You might wish to note that our client is involved in legitimate business enterprises that are widely acclaimed, both in Nigeria and within international business circles. He is the Chairman and Chief Executive of several companies, some of which he founded, and others, which, as a result of his reputation for being honest and fair handed, he was invited to chair. These companies, apart from providing unique solutions to societal problems, provide jobs and means of livelihood to at least 2000 Nigerians, as well as contribute their quota to Nigeria’s Gross Domestic Product. These, amongst other leadership qualities, earned him the conferment of the revered traditional title of the Dan Amana of Dutse.

“Our client’s position is that your publication was made, either with actual or constructive knowledge of the falsity of its content or without any effort to verify the authenticity of such damaging stories which any media outlet should be loath to publish. This is obvious, for instance, from the paucity of details as to time, place, account details, etc, in the publication. Such action is clearly indicative of bad faith and/or, recklessness, with respect.”

Mr Danu then demanded the retraction of the publication from Sahara Reporters’ official website and Twitter account. He also wants the news platform to publicly apologise to him on its website as well as in at least three other newspapers with online and physical presence for seven days.

For Sahara Reporters to come out nowhere and fabricate such falsehood explains how lies, fake news, and misinformation have become a stock in its trade: nothing as irresponsible and satanic as this to the noble profession of journalism and its principles of fair hearing, objectivity, and fact checking and balancing.

In an attempt to flesh up the tiny detail of lie they had, Sahara Reporters cited another lie linked to Danu, which was his purported arrest with a fake passport and the sum of £200,000, at the airport in London. A simple Google search would have shown to them that Danu was a victim of fraud at the time and the person who facilitated the Maltese passport for him is currently being prosecuted by the EFCC. His money has also been returned by the UK authorities as he proved that it was legitimate income. All this information is available online, as carried by reputable media organisations.

As an organisation with penchant disregard for disregard to the most basic requirement of journalism, Sahara Reporters did not make the slightest attempt to contact Danu for his side of the story before rushing to publish a concocted story trapped with lies, misinformation, libellous and injurious to Alhaji Danu, his family, associates and well-wishers.

It is heart-warming that Alhaji Danu is poised to use available legal means to clear his name from sponsored falsehood aimed at distracting him from his legitimate ventures in an exercise that appeared as a journalistic mischief .

It is a good sequel to a similar action taken by former Senate President Bukola Saraki over similar publication, for which he obtained a judgement against the platform and its publisher.

The mudslinging and mischief journalism engaged by Sahara Reporters is an attacked on the moral values of good journalism. Sahara Reporters is willing to sacrifice everything, at all times, to achieve what is mostly a premeditated agenda to smear the names of persons and institutions, with the conviction that they are beyond reproach.

Crime / Zamfara; Life After The Shutdown by factsobserver: 11:04am On Sep 07, 2021
On Sept. 3, the Nigerian Government directed one of its regulatory agencies, the Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC) to instruct all telecommunication service providers in the country to shut down telephone services in Zamfara State, Northwest, for two weeks.
According to the government, the decision was made to step up operations against terrorists in Zamfara and other parts of Northwestern Nigeria who use telecommunication services to plan attacks and arrange ransom payments.
“The pervading security situation in Zamfara State, has necessitated an immediate shutdown of all telecommunications services… for two weeks,” said NCC in a directive.
Zamfara has been one of the worst hit in terms of insecurity in Nigeria with two reported cases of school abductions in less than a year. Thousands of villagers have also fled their homes to other locations and farmers are unable to cultivate their lands, pushing Nigeria to what experts described as a looming food insecurity.
There were numerous successful attempts to track down and capture terrorists using GSM monitoring techniques, but because of their enormous number, it was impossible to track them all down. The suspension of mobile communications was meant to prevent terrorists from collaborating with others.
However, the decision to restrict mobile phone communications in Zamfara has affected over two million subscribers in the state and turned their lives upside down.
Despite being one of Nigeria’s poorest states, the 9.2 million inhabitants in Zamfara have 2.3 million linked telephone lines, and 1.6 million of them use their active lines to access the internet, according to the National Bureau of Statistics (NBC).
This is not the first time the Nigerian Government has cut off mobile connection owing to insecurity; a similar action was adopted to combat Boko Haram insurgents in the Northeast. Boko Haram terrorists reportedly used telephone networks to communicate, re-group, and reinforce in 2013.
The Nigerian military is reportedly intensifying attacks against the terrorists in Zamfara State to force them to one location in a similar strategy that drove Boko Haram terrorists to Sambisa forest in Borno State.
Disconnected families
With insecurity at an all-time high in Zamfara, Sulaiman Saudat expressed anxiety that she couldn’t contact her brother, who was sent to a National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) camp in the state’s Tsafe Local Government Area (LGA).
The presence of military officers who train the corps members for about a month before deploying them to other regions where they serve the country makes the NYSC camps presumably secure. The recent kidnapping of soldiers from the Nigerian Defence Academy (NDA) in Kaduna has shown, however, that targeting the NYSC camp is not impossible.
For Rabe, a trader in Kano, whose relatives live in one of Zamfara communities, the blackout prevents him from knowing if his families are safe or under attack.
“My family is there, in the village, and I have no idea what is happening to them,” he explained. “Even if they do require something from me, there will be no way for me to know their demands immediately,” he added.
Rabe sells “gurasa” (local bread) in Kano where he spends months before returning to Zamfara to see his family, including his pregnant wife. However, he always communicates with them to learn about their conditions and the level of insecurity in their neighbourhood.
Impacts on Business
Due to the increased insecurity in Zamfara and neighbouring states, merchants who travel to Kano city to buy and sell to their local consumers, using WhatsApp to connect with wholesalers, are now at constraints.
Due to the mobile communications outage they cannot communicate with wholesalers. “They have to go back to the old ways,” said Abba Danlami, a merchant in Kano State’s Kwari textile market. “They should just drive to Kano and buy products there.”
However, this is also hazardous. The roads connecting Zamfara and Kano states are generally unsafe. Terrorists had ambushed a convoy carrying a politician returning from the state to Kano a few months ago. Another lawmaker was assaulted while attempting to transport his son to a hospital in Kano.
The Nigerian government stated that the mobile phone blackout is temporary for two weeks to crack down on terrorists, and, according to experts, it will have a short impact on businesses that rely on telephone communication.
Although the policy may increase hardship, some people believe the blackout should be accepted by Zamfara Zamfara to ensure the success of the offensive against the terrorists.
“State governments imposing additional hardships on communities must know that the measures they are introducing must produce tangible results within a period that makes them meaningful and tolerable,” said Hakeem Baba Ahmed, Director, Publicity and Advocacy of the Northern Elders Forum.
Nairaland / General / Gov. Buni; The Bridge For APC Feature by factsobserver: 10:52am On Sep 07, 2021
In June 2020, the governing All Progressives Congress (APC) was on the brink – and some analysts were euphorically writing off the party. Some even claimed the party might be in its last days – then. But a rescue – that appears like a miracle – came with the dissolution of the National Working Committee (NCW) and the swearing in of a National Caretaker and Extra-ordinary Convention Committee under the leadership of Mai Mala Buni, who is also the governor of Yobe State.
The caretaker committee under the leadership of Gov. Buni had regained the party and made it stronger and more appealing. As a politician in the real sense of the word, Buni was able to put the party back on track by first; addressing all the grievances that, in the first place, brought it to its knees. A crisis, for a political party is much more than a crisis; it is a setback and a damage that is and can be very difficult to recover from. As a political strategist, Buni apart from resolving all the conflicts in the party, also gained the confidence of all stakeholders who trusted his political skills, open-mindedness, and crisis resolution tactics. The result delivered by Gov. Buni was the reason why the party and its stakeholders gave him the nod to go on until he concluded his assignment.
The recent concerns about the legality of the leadership of Gov. Buni, following the Supreme Court ruling on Ondo election, has been clarified and the books show, there is no legal implications for the party, as he continued to take the party to a point of strength. The vote of confidence passed by the APC Progressives Governors Forum on the Gov. Buni-led National Caretaker Committee and its assignment is yet another proof that he is on the right path; legally and politically. It is also proof that APC is on the path to a better future.
In February, the party’ caretaker leadership conducted party membership revalidation and registration successfully across the country. The all-important exercise was smooth and showed how appealing the party is becoming to Nigerians. New members registered and those who were already members of the party renewed their membership. The caretaker committee under the leadership of Mai Mala Buni did not start this project until after wider consultations – especially with all the party stakeholders. Every activity carried out by the caretaker committee towards restoring the party has the endorsement of all party stakeholders and was backed by the rules and regulations of the party.
His commitment to real reconciliation meant, that before starting his current assignment Buni went around Nigeria and met with all the party’s key stakeholders. During one of such visits in July 2020, one of the party’s stakeholders Chief Bisi Akande, while receiving the caretaker committee, at his country home, expressed confidence and support to the committee and the work it is doing to reconcile and address all outstanding party grievances. Chief Akande was also quoted by the media as saying: “There is great hope in what I have seen in this committee, the party will certainly bounce back stronger. I will continue to leave myself open and with a call on other stakeholders to cooperate and support the committee (caretaker) to succeed.”
Every step the Buni-led caretaker committee is taking is constitutional — including the membership registration and validation exercise, as well as the just-concluded congresses. All actions of the caretaker committee were approved by the party’s highest decision-making body; the National Executive Council (NEC). Every step taken by the Governor Buni-led caretaker committee received support of all the party’s stakeholders.
So far, the caretaker committee under the leadership of Mai Mala Buni is still taking the path of reconciliation. This path brings back into the party’s fold bigwigs who left the party ahead of 2015 general elections. Most of such big names left the party out of feeling of unfair treatment. Getting them back into the party is a concrete achievement. Above all, more governors have defected to APC to the extent that, some think, the main opposition party is facing an existential crisis. The party has also gained more political bigwigs from across Nigeria through defection. All these are signs that the party is rebuilding confidence and will never go back to its recent past of chaos.
When APC was almost consumed by crisis, many state chapters of the party were also contending with internal wrangling detrimental to the party’s present and future. Through consultations and engaging stakeholders, Governor Buni was able to resolve crises in more than 12 states and reconciliation is a continuous exercise to ensure that the party mends all fences.
Buni is an accomplished politician and choosing him to lead APC out of crisis was based on his solid party politics credentials and the ability to solve problems. Buni is a defender of the rule of law and is always on the side of due process. At the end of the ongoing party rebuilding exercise, Buni will rebuild APC and turn it into a strong democratic institution. Clearly, the caretaker committee is addressing internal grievances in a fair and just manner. It is also entrenching a strong culture of internal democracy. It is also giving a sense of belonging to all party members.
These achievements are not coming on a platter of gold. Gov. Buni is already rebuilding Yobe State and he is only making a sacrifice to restore hope in APC as a party. At the end the Buni-lead caretaker committee will hand over a strong and new APC that is united and ready to face the future of rebuilding Nigeria.
As is usual with politics, there will be distractions on the journey. But with Gov. Buni in-charge, the journey to a new APC will not be distracted. At the end, the party will be stronger, united and ready to make Nigeria better

Nairaland / General / Naira Marley And The Youth by factsobserver: 9:22am On Sep 07, 2021
Today, youths learn mostly from the entertainment industry and they model their lives after their favourite artists. Unfortunately, some of the current artists in the entertainment industry do not possess the necessary depth needed to be role models.

With their morally bankrupt and deficit songs, some of the artistes that the youths look up to do not possess the necessary virtues and values sacrosanct to building the next generation.

Azeez Adeshina Fashola, popularly known as Naira Marley is an artiste, whose vulgar musical outpourings and lewd lifestyle, has held most Nigerian youths spellbound.

From the dance step, ‘soapy,’ that has popularised the habit of masturbation to his show of obscene visuals in ‘Opotoyi’, to his recent music video, ‘Coming,’ that sexually objectified women, Naira Marley almost on a regular basis releases musical hits that soothes the young ones, but which preaches immorality and indecency.

Uncountable are such disapproving content and messages that he constantly feeds the younger generation. It is disheartening that in the midst of this, his fans, whom he flamboyantly christened Marlians, stand up tall in defence of his sheer crassness.

With his penchant for and addiction to weed, the portrayal of women as sex symbols in his music videos, character-assassinating response to his critics and disregard for authority, the artiste is the embodiment of everything that conservative Nigerian society and cultural purists dislikes, particularly in its youth. He is the physical manifestation of parents’ fears over their children joining “bad gang” – boasting of “no manners”, and rubbishing education.

With the likes of Naira Marley in the entertainment industry consistently dishing out uncouth and morality-damn lyrics to the younger generation, is it any wonder that we have many youths with ‘entertainment value,’ but no intellectual value?

Nowadays, the fastest way of getting any message to the youth is through the entertainment industry. Sadly, artistes, like Naira Marley have thrown caution to the wind, as the content of their songs now revolves around nudities, violence and drugs, among others thereby influencing the youth negatively.

It is imperative that artistes make a conscious effort to project positive values and preach a positive message in their songs. This way, the youth can embrace virtues and shun vices. Artistes should put their influence into good use.

Religion / Christianity In Nigeria: The Prophets Are False; The Profits Are Real by factsobserver: 1:36pm On Sep 06, 2021
In ranking the country with the most number of churches; if Nigeria is not among the first five countries in the list, then something is amiss. Such a gross error could be attributed either to oversight from ignorance or incompetency on the part of the officials charged with the survey.

Nigeria is a country where churches exist at every corner. You are sure to find three to five churches on a street. A typical example is the popular Agbani Road in Enugu. Walking or driving by this road, you are likely to find about four church billboards in front of one building.

Every warehouse and hotel houses a church (if not churches). One cannot help but marvel at the unprecedented rise in the number of churches. Churches and prayer houses can be said to be a major industry in this part of the world.

Churches exist in family houses, uncompleted buildings, warehouses, and in any available space. It won’t be an overstatement to say that new churches emerge on a daily basis.

As the number of churches skyrocket, so does the number of prophets. It won’t be an understatement to say that churches have turned into a hot potato, setting these self-acclaimed prophets on the path to wealth. What’s more? You don’t need a certificate to go into the business.

All you need is to find an available space, put up a signpost and there you are. However, to fast track the journey to wealth, do some specified rituals and perform some required sacrifices which will enable you to prophesize in an unimaginable manner, from telling people the colour of their underwear to what they ate before leaving the house.

Such prophecies, it is believed, will convince people that you are a ‘strong man of God’ and will render them gullible to your antics of defrauding them.

Nigerian prophets have not only bastardized Christianity, but they have also balkanized it as well. Christianity, as practised in this part of the world, is absolutely nothing to write home about. Our prophets have deviated from the teachings of Jesus Christ.

They are not concerned about soul winning but gold winning. This explains the reason behind the proliferation of churches and the unnecessary denominational rivalry and competition among the various churches.

These self-ordained apostles interpret the scripture to suit their whims and caprices; and, most importantly, to entice you to empty your wallet. Emphasizing on ‘seed sowing’, ‘giving God his due by paying your tithes’ and ‘giving quality offerings’, they neglect the souls of those under their care.

It is appalling that our so-called prophets have their eyes set on gold, not on the author and finisher of their faith. The goal is to enrich themselves and impoverish the members. A prophet needs a car, the members will be asked to give a ‘generous offering to the Lord’. A member needs money for accommodation, the congregation will be asked to ‘remember him/her in prayers’.

The contemporary Nigerian church is engulfed by the quest for materialism, prevalent in society. Rather than find solace in the Christian hope of eternal life, signs of insatiable material acquisition loom large in Nigerian churches.

Spiritual growth and moral sanctity towards better eternity is fast giving way to material craving. The level of material quest by our clergymen is radically in deviance, and inimical to the values and life of the early Church.

[urlhttps://factsobserver1..com/2021/09/christianity-in-nigeria-prophets-are.html][/url]

Consequently, a new kingdom in which treasures are found here on earth is preferred to delayed gratification, and treasure in the heavenly kingdom. Today, many of our church leaders consciously or unconsciously measure success in life in terms of wealth, prestige and power.

The truth that stares all of us in the face is that these prophets are robbers in disguise. They preach ‘prosperity messages’ without teaching you anything on money management. Members are sweet-tongued to unfailingly sow seeds which will be reaped by the prophet and his family.

They invest the ‘seeds’ while the members wait relentlessly for a ‘miracle’. Instead of clinging to the old rugged cross, they cling onto their member’s pockets, always devising tactics to make them ‘give generously’.

False prophets loom large in our religious landscape. They use delusive prophecies and erroneous interpretations of the scripture to catch their victims for foul deals and exploitation, claiming such to be directed by the Holy Spirit. A fraudulent and fearless use of the sacred name of God! Freedom of worship is turned into the freedom of exploitation and fraud.

Little wonder the practical spiritual life of Nigerian Christians is not commensurate with their numerical strength. This declining emphasis on spirituality is concomitant with the crave for materialism in churches. What do we expect in a society where religious leaders are myopic to the welfare of their sheep but mindful of how much they make at the end of a service?

Firstly, on the issue of Christmas, it is not compulsory you celebrate it.. That does not stop the fact that Christ was born. The reason why Deeper life don't celebrate it is simply because they believe Jesus was not born in December which is true.

On the other hand , other churches celebrate it just as a mark of respect.. despite knowing that He wasn't born on December 25th..

It is not a disagreement as you tried to portray it.. It is rather a thing of choice to mark His birth or not to...One common factor that is undisputable is His Birth, celebration is optional because the date was truly set aside by pagans.

On the issue of KJV , It is the oldest of the recent translations from where most other translation came from. It does not demean the Bible and Jehovah replacing God with Jehovah is nothing ( I guess you are not a Christian ).. God's name is Jehovah and if I choose to call my God is name, is there any crime in it? Every Christian knows God is Jehovah...

Some of your points are damn ridiculous and childish but I will still answer... On the closing of eyes , it is not a doctrine in any denomination. It is simply a way to aid concentration. If you are in your privacy, you can choose to open you eyes once there are less distractions and you know you can be focused. Concentration is necessary in any spiritual circle even beyond Christianity..

On the dressing issues, there is always a standard we call moral... It is not a doctrine as well so stop getting it mixed. On a moral ground, every woman should dress decently either in church or outside the church.. The same goes to women in other religions too. I don't support the idea of skimpy dresses in church or outside the church but yet it is still on the standard of morality.. Morality is not limited to Christianity.

On the Catholic and Anglican issues, I honestly have little to say about that because I do not have the basics of those denominations. Hopefully someone else will

Please kindly respond to this , then we can move forward..Let me know you have read it even if you disagree...

Lest I forget, I will be outlining the fundamental differences between the Sunni and Shiite...

I will take it down to the Sunni and how Muslims also have different doctrines from Ahmaddiyah to Nasfat , to Toheeb etc...

Let's get it started..

Is not about argue, and i didnt mean to hurt someone faith or believe. All i was saying is there's alot of fake pastors among you that need to be cast out. I witness one pastors claiming that there's no hell for the bad people, recently pastor adeboye claim that GOD has spoken to him and alot more pastor like him

Talking about differences between Sunni and Shi'ah, i dont think i need such thing. I've more than a thousand books that clearly states the differences.

For quite some time now, a lot of controversies and criticisms has evolved in the Nigerian church scape as regards false doctrines especially, the issue of tithe. There’s no doubt, doctrines that have no biblical origin and are feasibly unrealisable must be outrightly dispelled. It is in the light of this that some lingering questions surfaced on my mind and they all seem to put a question mark on the claim of Christians believing they’re one body in Christ.

Very quickly, let’s take a look at the factors that made me come to this weird conclusion. Pastor WF Kumuyi, Pastor DK Olukoya and the Jehovah’s witnesses believe Christmas is a pagan tradition, so it’s not celebrated in their Churches.

Whereas Pastor E.A Adeboye of the RCCG, Pastor David Oyedepo of living faith church, and millions of pastors around the world readily embrace and celebrate Christmas. Also, unlike other bibles, the Jehovah’s witness Bible has the word “God” replaced with “Jehovah” in its entirety. The Kumuyi’s deeper life bible church, on the other hand, believes King James version of the holy bible is the most unadulterated, hence it’s preferred to other bible versions.

Another funny thing is that unlike other churches, the Jehovah’s witnesses don’t close their eyes to pray. I was even told some don’t pray at all, yet they all claim to be Christians.

The issue of dressing has caused a lot of traffic on the media, both reasonable and unreasonable responses were given to support different ideologies. Deeper life members, especially ladies can easily be spotted out without stress, owing to her long pleated skirt, her thick well-wounded hair tie or turban, and her bogus top clothing.

But the same can’t be said of the ladies in pastor David Oyedepo’s Church. Ladies dress in tight trousers, some wear sleeveless tops and appear sexy even on Sundays. They believe true worship is in the heart and not the garment. Same goes for many other churches in Nigeria.

The Catholic and Anglican churches share certain doctrines in common, but the differences are also worth looking into. Catholics, unlike other churches, pray through Mary the mother of Jesus using the rosary.

Also, they believe the use of contraceptives such as CDs even after marriage is ungodly. They recommend the menstrual cycle method which is a nice but socially unrealisable idea. The neonatal baptismal practice is another concrete Catholic practice that differentiates them from other churches.

The message of spirituality and spiritual possession is not far from the reach of the garment wearing Christian churches. Unlike other Christian churches, white or multicoloured garment uniformed Christian churches employ the services of multicoloured candles, holy perfumes “turari”, holy water, staffs and all sorts of “holy” equipment.

Funnily enough, these set of Christians believe its sheer display of ignorance and disrespect to march into the sacred ground of worship with your shoes on, hence they walk barefooted to church.

However, these haven’t stopped people from referring to all these leaders as men of God. Does it mean God speaks with both sides of the mouth? Definitely not!

My candid advice to the pastors and religious leaders is that they should come together to discuss the doctrines, dispel unprofitable ones and uphold biblical and socially realisable ones. Until Christians have one doctrine and speak in one voice as the early churches did, I still don’t see any prospect of moving Christianity forward in Nigeria.

Crime / History Of Terrorism Organizations In This Century by factsobserver: 12:58pm On Sep 05, 2021
Please, take time to read this article to the end to understand the plots of the United States and the hunting dogs of the terrorist groups claiming to establish an Islamic state in Nigeria and the world.

The commander of the U.S. Army's Africa Command, General Dagvin Anderson, announced on Wednesday that ISIS and al-Qaeda-linked militants have set up bases in northwestern Nigeria in a bid to expand their operations in Nigeria after the North East

General Anderson said there was a need for intelligence sharing between Nigeria and the United States, and that the United States would continue to provide Nigeria with vital information on terrorist plots. The plan will puts the people of Kano, Katsina and Kaduna states in grave danger

There is also a statement issued by the British Government to its citizens in Nigeria warning them to stay away from the North West states, but yesterday the Nigerian Defense Forces issued a statement through General Enanche that the force is ready to fight any challenge and the threat of terrorism in Nigeria, and that this US report is nothing new, they should not upset the Nigerian people

The United States knows best the secrets of Al-Qaeda and ISIS, because they are the founders of the (United States). And they were dust, when its confirm America has finished with them, and they are killed at the very end of their existence. Osama bin Laden and Abubakar al-Baghdadi are both former members of the Central Intelligence Agency (CIA).

The United States knows everything about these terrorist groups, and other non-Muslims see them as Muslim terrorist groups, operating in Islam, wanting an Islamic state with a gun. Femi Fani Kayode and TY Danjuma accuse President Buhari of trying to establish an Islamic government in Nigeria, claiming that he will convert Nigeria to Islam.

I would like to remind you of history. Before 1979, no Muslim organization in the world was armed to enforce Islamic law, but after the former Soviet Union (now Russia) was invaded. In Afghanistan, the United States and its Arab allies have authorized clerics to declare "jihad" in Afghanistan

The US government sponsored training and logistics for the Arab armies that were to wage jihad to drive Soviet troops out of Afghanistan, and the Arab states (America's allies) paid for the supplies of the fighters. ) will need (financing)

Following the plan, General Haqq of Pakistan was ordered to declare Jihad against the Soviet Union (Russia), all Muslims from all over the world were invited to Pakistan, and Muslims were mobilized and divided into three armies:

The first army; The Arabs under the leadership of an Eygyt cleric (I forgot his name) who was under Osama bin Laden.

The second army; Exiled Shiite Muslims to wage jihad against Russia under Gulbuddin Hekmatayar

The third army; Muslims in Afghanistan under the leadership of Professor Rabbani

The Mujahideen came together to fight the former Soviet Union (Russia) in a fierce battle, which ended with the successful expulsion of the Soviets from Afghanistan, until Osama bin Laden was invited to the US capital (Washington DC) to be honored at the inauguration of former US President Mr. Ronald Wilson Reagan (died in 2004) praised Osama bin Laden and said, "They are the moral equivalent of America's founding fathers." Laden worked for the US Central Intelligence Agency

But after the successful expulsion of Russia from Afghanistan, the war ended, and these Mujahideen commanders taught the understanding of a scholar named Sayyid Qutub in the minds of the Mujahideen, and distorted their thinking, that the use of force to enforce Islamic law on earth, which was not accepted by the world's leading Islamic scholars who issued fatwas at that time.

However, each of the Muslim commanders who drove Russia out of Afghanistan sided with his own people, Professor Rabbani, Sheikh Umar, the founder of the Taliban, Osama bin Laden, the founder of Al Qaeda, and Sheikh Adallah. Egypt joins Muslim Brotherhood

This is the beginning of the way in which the United States has created terrorist-linked terrorist groups in this century, and if you look at the United States, it has started training terrorists with weapons, warfare and these terrorist groups are using the same tactics as the United States and Russia

The United States helped the Arabs oust the Soviet Union from Afghanistan, and the United States later used its former intelligence chief, Osama bin Laden, to orchestrate the 9/11/2001 attack on the World Trade Center's twin towers in Afghanistan. The devastation of the country, the desecration of the religion of God, the destruction of sex, prostitution and prostitution in Afghanistan in the name of fighting Al-Qaeda of Osama bin Laden, and the name of terrorism around the world to discredit Islam. and Muslims, America is the source of the existence of terrorist groups in this century

And let the people remember how the United States formed ISIS in a very short time, and then they brought in their CIA operative, Abubakar Albaghdadi, led by Mr. Jihadi John, and I want us to Remember the words of US President Donald Trump during his campaign, accusing Barack Obama of forming ISIS, an allegation that Obama still denies
