Health / Bad Breath: Causes And Remedies by fadoski(m): 8:42pm On Dec 24, 2010
Bad breath or to give it another name, halitosis, is a serious problem for many people and it is one of the most embarrassing illnesses that a person can suffer. It makes conversation with or any other form of close contact very unpleasant for all concerned. This may even lead to a person
becoming socially isolated because they simply don't realise how bad their breath is (e.g. no one wants to tell them) or do not know what to do about it.
Bad breath is not only annoying and disturbing but also quite embarrassing especially when you are interacting with the people. Finding ways to solve this kind of problem can be quite frustrating.
The subject of bad breath cure is kept under covers, but the best bad breath solution is to meet the problem head on, admit that there is a problem, identify the cause and then deal with it with a will. The cause of bad breath could be temporary, like when you eat odorous things like onion, garlic, fish or meat and spicy curries. Smoking and consumption of alcoholic liquor also create their own odour, also the morning breath is a passing phenomenon and the normal brushing takes care of it.
Causes of Bad breath( Halitosis)
1. Mouth bacteria, Your mouth is full of hundreds of bacteria that break down for example proteins into amino acids (i.e. you need them for a healthy mouth!). This can produce an unpleasant gas and if you have an abnormal population of bacteria (e.g. too many of a certain type) your breath will smell bad.

There are medical treatments to restore the correct populations of bacteria and if your mouth is often dry you can chew chewing gum, parsley, mint, basil, rosemary, thyme, cinnamon sticks or fennel seeds or leaves to wash away bacteria with your saliva.

2.Tongue bacteria, traditional cultures (e.g. Chinese) have understood the importance of tongue health for more than a thousand years and therefore used scrapers to clean it. It turns out that the main cause of mouth related bad breath is bacteria activity at the back of the tongue. Spending money on a tongue cleaner rather than mouthwash is not only cheaper but it will cure this particular form of bad breath. Make sure that you clean your tongue and teeth thoroughly at least twice a day and see if it helps. Be especially vigilant about your cleaning routine if your tongue has a white film on it. This can be an indication of the presence of volatile sulphur compound that are known to contribute to bad breath.

3.Bad fillings, tooth decay, abscesses, food between the teeth and gum disease. These may also cause problems with bad breath but it is less common.
4.A toxic body. If your body has become overloaded with toxins from for example, an unhealthy diet, and certain pollutants, this can cause a chain reaction of related symptoms, including body odour and bad breath. With the modern unhealthy diet (e.g. too many carbohydrates, sugar, alcohol and additives) this is becoming more common.

Remedies of Bad Breath
1.Brush your teeth and tongue every morning and night with a good quality toothbrush to remove food particles. It is advisable to brush the teeth and floss between them after every meal.

2. Use mouthwash with essential oils - Research has shown that essential oils are effective in reducing bad breath. There are commercially available mouthwash products containing essential oils, which may be more practical than preparing a home-made mouthwash.

3.Keeping yourself sufficiently hydrated on a daily basis can also help to get rid of bad breath. This means that you should always drink lots of water or fluid to prevent your mouth from drying up. This is because you will have bad breath when your mouth is dehydrated and this is particularly obvious when you open your mouth and talk to people. Besides that, try to avoid thinks like alcohol and cigarettes as they will only worsen the problem.

4.Pay a visit to your dentist twice a year for cleaning your teeth and the surrounding regions. Get your mouth checked up to prevent the building up of plaque, dental problems or other similar problems resulting in bad breath.
Adam and Eve also must have wondered how to get rid of bad breath before the advent of toothbrush. Perhaps they were eating plenty of fruits, greens and other raw food which kept their mouth and gastro-intestinal tract in constant renewal. Holistic experts say that it is not only the state of the mouth but the entire gastro-intestinal highway that should be cleared regularly of toxins and putrid matters if a healthy and odorless breath is to be secured.

Always remember that 'Healthy habits saves us embarrassment'.

Health / How To Improve Your Libido Naturally: Men by fadoski(m): 8:31pm On Dec 24, 2010
Male libido is influenced by a mix of factors and issues. Some of the common causes of low libido in men include:
poor blood flow
low testosterone levels
reduced nitric oxide secretion
increased stress levels
lack of physical activity
excessive smoking, drinking alcohol and use of recreational medications etc.,

What is important for you to understand is that your desire for intimacy does not act in isolation from the rest of the body and your overall health is one of the most crucial factors determining your desire for intimacy or libido.

                                                     How to Improve Your Libido
The first step towards enhancing male libido is to take care of your diet and lose some flab. This is important because being overweight results in increased fat deposits in the body which leads to high estrogen levels. High estrogen levels reduce testosterone production which has a negative impact in your libido.
Moreover, you should include foods that boost blood flow into your diet. Oily fish is a great example of such foods. It is rich in essential fatty acids like Omega 3 which not only helps boost the production of testosterone but also keeps your arteries oiled which is good for blood circulation.
Other foods that contain Omega 3 fatty acids include olives, olive oil, nuts, beans etc. Proteins such as those in eggs and whey are also highly effective in increasing testosterone levels. Moreover, you should limit your intake of carbohydrates since they tend to elevate Insulin levels in blood which affect testosterone production adversely.

Regular exercise is another libido booster for men. This is because of 3 main reasons:
It helps increases blood circulation
It helps boost production of testosterone and
It helps reduce stress. Exercise is a great stress reliever. It is important to note that stress is one of the major libido killers in men.

Adequate Sleep- Sleep is a natural way of rejuvenating yourself. Lack of sleep tends to build up stress and upset your hormonal cycle. Men who are sleep deprived often have low testosterone levels which affects their libido drastically.
Avoid Smoking, drinking alcohol and Recreational medications- Smoking not only lowers testosterone but also restricts blood flow and leads to impotence.
