Business / Re: GTBank Restores Online Transfers For Saving Accounts by fafie02: 9:09pm On Sep 10, 2012 |
babaowo: for those using savings accounts? u can only transfer to gtbanks account holder.....but if your using current account? u can transfer to other banks.....This is very sad if true..when FirstBank has been doing INTERBANK & Intrabank instant online transfers from savings accounts for about 6 months now. You may quote me..i use both banks..but FBN is more useful to me as their platform allows all LOCAL & INTERNATIONAL transfers. |

Business / Re: Nigerian Banks: I Think Gtb Is The Most Customer-friendly! by fafie02: 5:02pm On Feb 05, 2012 |
GTB used to be the top customer friendly bank about 3-5 years ago, I hold a savings and current account with them which should be dormant by now, Banking with them became inconvenient with the huge non-complaining crowds in their few banking halls and ATMs. While i wouldn't close my backup accounts with GTB, I feel much more comfortable having my major operational accounts with FBN which is indeed the most improved bank with sufficient local spread, global relevance, efficient ATM, mobile and Online banking services. I hear there's a lot of stealing from UBA customers and there are several other banks with their seeming strengths. However,I'll keep these two as i believe they are the actual and only competitors in our banking industry. |

Religion / Re: Can God Lead You To Marry Someone You Don't Love? by fafie02: 7:20pm On Oct 12, 2011 |
To love is a verb & is active, God's love is unconditional, However, a promise exist which cannot b broken, "All things (not only those we think best) work togethr 4 good 2 them that love God & 2 them that are d called according 2 His purpose", Believe this, God Himself funds every project He initiates & the LORD JESUS will ensure dt d sweetest wine of love abides in d marriage (like dt of Cana, galilee) & also d oil of His presence lasts continually (like dt of Zarepath) Love God sincerely & He will lead you on d best pathway 4 ur life, |
Business / Re: Worst Bank In Nigeria by fafie02: 1:11am On Mar 03, 2011 |
Each bank has her peculiar issues, while some have become worse over time; others have become better. UBA: I don't bank with them but hear complaints about their unreasonable charges and dissatisfied customer facing staff. However, two real banks worth considering for excellence in the nation's industry: GTB: Known for Customer service, Good ambience and a feeling of youthful freedom, ; They are fast losing out by acting contrary to this initial charm combination, I think Guaranty should realize their customer base has increased and should do the needful. I'm an e-Banking inclined person, but I believe customers should be convinced on a channel rather than surcharged to encourage use of ATMs. FBN: Known for branch spread, safety of funds and forward-looking moves, ;This trans-generational Bank which appears to have "grown younger with age" is doing a good job with their transformation drive which has led to better services and top competitive edge amongst the 24, Along with their unmatched global acceptance, they've proved to be true to their name and logo, dependable & dynamic, I'd rather tranzact with my hard earned funds here rather than experiment with it. |
Politics / Re: Babangida Is The Leader Of The North - Atiku by fafie02: 1:31pm On Jan 12, 2011 |
Dr Know: It's not about Nigerians, it has never been about us, cast your votes wisely; not necessarily for the incumbent nor for this ex-vice, but for someone who is not a child (thinks not only about self). Woe to the nation whose king is a child! |
Politics / Re: Arewa Group Seeks Another Consensus Candidate by fafie02: 3:25am On Jan 06, 2011 |
There is a widespread illness across the country. It's quite surprising that lessons are yet to be learnt by some organized bodies who believe power is their heritage. Neither do I put my trust in any of these folks; GEJ, JEG, ATK, etc, as their loyalties are probably compromised from 'the Nigerian people first'. However, true uprightness will erase our reproach. I love this country and I keep hoping, acting and praying for the best outcome. |
Politics / Re: Govt Begins Closure Of Phcn, Transfers Workers . by fafie02: 3:06am On Jan 06, 2011 |
This action is long overdue (remember the promise of state of emergency by this regime back in 2007), no big kudos to the mover. The reforms required in the power sector is over-hyped; shouldn't be a big deal and shouldn't take time if stakeholders (excluding consumers) decide to be sincere in resolving this anomaly (which is a goose with the golden eggs for some). |
Education / Re: Who Is To Be Blame For Student's Poor Performance? by fafie02: 2:53am On Jan 06, 2011 |
An illiterate Government: For deplorable state of facilities at all educational levels as well as "take home pays that fail to take the teachers home" Some Misplaced Teachers: For lack of passion for the job, scarcely updated knowledge and zero drive to ensure success by merit unlike what we had in years past Some Irresponsible Parents: For lack of attention to academic and mental development of their wards as well as loss of values as some even "assist their wards" Students: A simple outcome of the combination of two or three of the above leaves them asking why or how. Examination bodies: Thank you for upholding standards, enabling the clarity of the true picture. |
Politics / Re: Lagos State Introduces Ugly Building Tax (pic of the ugliest bld) by fafie02: 2:30am On Jan 06, 2011 |
Strange Building , the owner probably felt it was of high ingenuity. As regards the tax, the government could also adopt proactive means, by checking all plans and architectural designs before implementation (i guess that's one of the reasons for a town planning division) |
Career / Re: What Is Really Wrong With Intercontinental Bank? by fafie02: 2:22am On Jan 06, 2011 |
zuker: There is probably nothing wrong with Inter-B; could be an improvement drive encapsulating mixed feelings. All banks have their idiosyncrasies; I bank with GTB and FBN, However, GTB seems to have lost its feet as its service strategy and design was quite short sighted, hence the difficulty in coping with customer volumes; It is possible they recover. Hard earned funds appear ever safer @ FBN; its unparalleled global acceptance/referral, recently improved banking channels and service delivery drive is highly commendable and makes me more comfortable with the all generational bank. |
