Politics / Re: APC Picks Yahaya Bello As Audu's Replacement by FaladSon: 9:11am On Nov 28, 2015
opalu:
As an Igala I can say confidently that fielding Audu's son would have been a mistake initself since that cannot stand the legal fireworks. Also that guy has alot to learn in politics. When his dad was alive, he always shun youths who brought great ideas to him to pass to his dad. His favourite saying then was - "I am not a politician but a businessman; leave me out of this". All of a sudden some people who think he will be controlled by them started throwing his candidature up. That said, who knows if he would have been excellent Gov just like the once unknown Fashola.

On the second note, Yahaya Bello called Fairplus massively funded the Buhari Osinbajo campaign in Kogi donating many buses. Audu supported and rallied Pl delegates for his friend Kwankwaso against PMB. Fairplus ran the most organized campaign when he vied for Governorship. However he disappointed his fans when he refused to support Audu rather he decamped to SDP first and later ran back when he saw that he had a case against Audu's emergence at the APC Hqtrs. When his petition was thrown out, he funded Wada.

Now food is ready and Audu has won the election and he has come to reap the labours.

As for Faleke, he also has a good case. But the case of Fairplus is stronger and can stand the test of time.
I advise both of them to work together to do the kind of developments that Kogi has never seen in all the years ruled by Igalas Govs. That is the only way they can win the hearts of the normal igala populace. Hunger and poverty do not differentiate between tribes and religion. At the market, they don't ask you for your tribe before they sell to you.

Let's join hands to make Nigeria great!
i really appreciate your comments. I dont know that people that are really literate and understand politics as well as legal implication of whatever decision make by APC are here. For APC to do another primary would have put in a more risk of loosing the whole battle to PDP @ law court exept a new election is to be condycted but going by this choice; pdpd had been legally knocked down already.

The appropriate thing for Buhari to do is to seek legal redress or petition the regulatory body. He has NO right to bar, ban or restrict AIT irrespective of how he feels about them. This is not a military regime.

Btw: Your APC party has reversed the order... Democracy wins!

Byebye..
Guy do you really understand different between banning and barring, it was only reported dat he disallowed dem from covering events relating to him which can still be seen as being private. And if I may ask, can you honestly tell me dat AIT was too fair with buhari during d campaign period dat dey even went further using d death of his wife and dat of one of his daughter to campaign against him? Politics / Re: APC Slams Metuh, Offers Him Crash Course On His New Role by FaladSon: 11:41pm On Apr 17, 2015
admax:
I just saw this APC hilarious response to Olisa Metuh of PDP.......

Alleged plan to destabilize PDP: APC slams Metuh, offers him crash course on his new role

The All Progressives Congress (APC) has denied having any hand in the crumbling of the PDP, as alleged by the party's National Publicity Secretary Olisa Metuh, while offering him (Metuh) a free, six-week crash course on his new role as the opposition spokesman.

Reacting to the allegation by Metuh that the APC has been working to destabilize the PDP, the party (APC) said in a statement by its National Publicity Secretary, Alhaji Lai Mohammed, in Abuja on Friday, that during the training, Metuh will be given free lessons by his APC counterpart, in the spirit of cooperation and for the advancement of the nation's democracy.

''Metuh will need the training to effectively carry out his new, tough task. It is now obvious that he needs to understand that for him to succeed in his new role, he must be credible, empirical, more sophisticated in language use and very passionate, in addition to being able to operate on a lean or zero budget,'' it said.

APC said it is ludicrous, to say the least, for anyone to suggest that the APC is seeking to destabilize the PDP, when the erstwhile ruling party has done such a great job of crumbling under its own weight, having gorged on the commonwealth.

''Really, it beggars belief to say that the APC is seeking to lure away members of the PDP's NEC with 'phantom promises and threats', with a view to destabilizing the party, when everyone knows the rate at which PDP stalwarts have been rushing to jump off the sinking ship called the PDP before it finally tips over.

''Our National Chairman and our President-elect have even spoken out publicly on this issue, encouraging the eager PDP defectors to stay back in their party so they can provide a formidable opposition to the new ruling party. How then can anyone accuse the APC of either luring away PDP members or seeking to destabilize a party that has done itself in?'' the party queried.

It advised Metuh to take a little time off so he can engage in some introspection, against the backdrop of the total repudiation by Nigerians of the brand of politics that his party, the PDP, played in its days as the ruling party.

''There is no doubt that Metuh is in a hurry to do his work as an opposition spokesman. He should not worry. He should save his energy, because he would need it, in addition to the crash course which has been offered to him freely, if he is to function effectively in his new role. Having been in opposition for so long, we can tell Metuh that it is not a cakewalk.

''Lies by themselves never travel far enough for the truth not to catch up with them, as the PDP must have now realized when its strategy of muckraking, distortion of facts and blatant falsehood - under the guise of electioneering campaign - failed to turn the tide in its favour during the last elections. But it seems the lead actors in that failed strategy, Metuh included, have not yet learnt their lessons, hence they have continued to engage in their despicable pastime.

''The APC has no time to waste on luring away members of the PDP. We have our hands full as we seek to clear the mess that the PDP has made of Nigeria and the state of hopelessness to which its 16-year rule has plunged the citizens. Because Nigerians wanted change, they voted for our party. How then can the party of change allow itself to become populated by the same folks whom Nigerians have rejected?'' APC said.

Let us be sincere with ourself here, it isn't easy to be in an opposition party for 16yrs and coming for six weeks training might not even be enough but can help really. You must overcome a battle for you to be called a winner. I pity Metsu with all he and his cohorts called and said about GMB before the election, am still waiting for May 29 to pass first before saying somethings about okupe, prophet Fayose and Abati. God bless Nigerian.

Jonathan Goes After Okupe Over His Failed N100m Bribe

The Senior Special Assistant to the President on Public Affairs, Doyin Okupe from a reliable source in the State House is in serious trouble with President Goodluck Jonathan.

It was reliably gathered that President Goodluck Jonathan gave Dr Okupe the sum of N100 million in Dollars to mobilize the Labour and Accord Party in the South West since they agreed that President Jonathan is their joint Presidential candidate.

Problem however started when Okupe didn't share the money as Jonathan instructed but started putting up a very expensive mansion. He was said to have also bought a Range Rovers Sport.

But his workers in the State House were not paid for three months leading to the presidential election.
“I have taught that the Election period will be our breakthrough but unfortunately, it was the worst as Dr Okupe could not even engage us in any of the campaign activities despite the facts that we are in Public Affairs in Presidency.” a senior staff in his office said.

"I think the man is good but his dilemma is his elder brother, Wemimo Okupe and wife, Yemisi Okupe. In fact, Wemimo Okupe is the Chief Operating Officer that controls the finances of Dr Doyin Okupe according to our source in the State House. He determines who to pay and what to pay to any of the staff including those that worked in the defunct Federalist Newspaper owned by Dr Doyin Okupe."

The Federalist Newspaper was another source which Okupe used to siphoned money from Presidency and friends of the Presidency.

A female staff of the defunct paper said the Newspaper was operated like a cult business and that was the major downfall of the paper!

Sources alleged that President Jonathan is insisting that all those who ate his money must return them.

What do you expect of Okupe since is bitter, he can't tell the president the level of rejection is facing from the masses hence he choose to collect the money and pocket it. Lolllll

Chief Umeh did posit the very obvious, but his speaking out once more underscores the fact that the North hv handled the reins of power and still hv nothing to show for...

It's so unfortunate that when the north seeks to betray the south, they always find a willing hand from the south west...

Pls what do u mean by betray? And in the case of GEJ, who betray who? Pls tell me bro

What do you mean by conspiracy?
I may have to ask you for the meaning of democracy. The South southerners and the South Easterners are complete stack illiterates. Was there any agreement between the North and SS and SE for the reelection of Jonathan?
One thing you people fail to understand is that we northerners are five years ahead of you democratically, this isn't the same as 2011.Some of out elders collected money as bribe from Jonathan to buy votes for him, but they found it difficult to buy our conscience so they kept mute with the money.
Gone are the days when our leaders collect bribes and make us do the dirty job for them, after all who is feeling the brunt of the insecurity, poverty and unemployment is the masses and not the so call elders and moreover we cast the vote and we have voted your Jonathan out.
If you want our vote next time, that is,if there is a next time for you treat us all as one Nigeria and don't ever think money would do everything for you.

Ua very correct ma guy

chibecanglobal:
Chief Umeh while agreeing that there are some good Northern leaders with good intentions for Nigeria, urged President Jonathan to ignore some of the sycophants who never supported his reelection bid and are now praising him for conceding defeat to Gen. Buhari, saying, they were spoiling for war before the election and waiting for him to reject the result of the election so they can start the war they have been planning.
“For Danjuma to say that President Jonathan averted civil war by conceding and added that Ojukwu would have saved Nigeria one year of bloodshed if Ojukwu had done what Jonathan did, he revealed the war they have been planning, if not what has loosing election or not conceding defeat got to do with civil war, is the court not there to redress election fraud, have people not been loosing election?

“But thank God that President Jonathan was not desperate for power, for 48 years the Igbo have been held down, and they never bothered who rules the country, for over thirty years a section of this country was ruling and believed that power rest with them, just few years they were out of power they started complaining and some threatening war if power did not come back to them” he said.
Speaking with newsmen, Chief Umeh wondered why President Jonathan visited Gen. Danjuma whom he said did not support his reelection bid, but instead rained insult on the President by saying that he was defeated and he conceded defeat, something he said Late Ojukwu should have done to save the country of crisis.

“I am very sure that Danjuma and some of his cohorts who are now praising Jonathan did not support the President in his reelection bid, I don’t know what President Jonathan went to look for in his house, all the Northern leaders conspired to sabotage Jonathan, Danjuma inclusive, I don’t know what he went to his house to look for, he may have deceived the President to believe that he supported him, but I am telling you, all the Northern leaders ganged up against the President.

“For saying that Jonathan saved Nigeria from civil war, Danjuma made the right comment because they have perfected planned on how to fight war, if their brother did not win, that shows they were desperate to take power which they held for over thirty years without other sections of the country complaining, if Jonathan has refused to accept defeat, there would have been war like they said, the North were ready for that from the way they are behaving and what they are saying since after the election” he said.

Chief Umeh therefore, urge President Jonathan to concentrate on his job for the remaining days of his administration and ignore the pretenders who never supported him and made things very difficult for his administration in spite all the developmental projects he carried out in the North, which the sections of the country that gave him full support never benefited or enjoyed.

“Jonathan did everything to impress the North but you cannot satisfy some of them, there is nothing you can do for some of them they will regard than giving back power to them, that is the secret of their jubilation and saying all sorts things and insulting everybody including the President, they are no more spoiling for war, they have got what they want” he said.
