When you go to Twitter, you will see people tweeting something like this in the images below. They are not genuine. They are referral tweets. They didn't get anything delivered. Look at it carefully, all of them are tweeting exact things with the same hash tags.

mazinooyolo: Another account was created to try and deny the truth again. If a CEO can do this kind of a thing, it is easier to think CDcare is been run by dishonest owners. I am sure they will do a press release soon to deny the information on the thread. Another move they might take, is that they might say it was someone's else that created the Nairaland accounts.

The next thing you will do now is create more Nairaland account and come and deny this thread. There is a better idea. Tell your staff to come and deny it using different usernames. |

tobescorama: Can you see how cheap you have become and very deceptive to people? A CEO pretending to be a customer to make a cheap review deny the incompetencies and fraudulent acts of your company. Instead of you to seat down and discuss with your staff who are ruining your business, you are here playing the game of nothing is wrong. CEO pretending to be a customer...lol 1 Share

tobescorama: It is so cheap to create a Nairaland account today and debunk the truth. CDcare does not take 10% when you cancel due to price change or product unavailability.? You are the BIGGEST liar. Damage control indeed. Stop pretending that you are a customer. Expect more articles in other platforms soon. You expect us to publish other positive reviews when your app developers hides the extreme negative reviews? 1 Like 1 Share

Newlymarried: This post wasn't created for the sake of front page. It is just to make Nigerians be aware or what to expect when there are issues concerning their purchases using Cdcare. 1 Like |

sinistermind: When they fail to deliver a product and they come to tell you the product is no longer available or the price has increased and you make payment in full and not installments, they should take 10% of your money because of refund? Do you have conscience at all? |

If there was a working system in this country, this company Cdcare Nigeria would have been sued and paid for damages to numerous customers for either delaying their orders, changing the price of goods paid for and most times not delivering the products. And when customers ask for a refund, they will tell you that you will lose 10% of your money. I am going to explain this in detail. It seems the owner of the company doesn't care how his business is ruining the lifestyle of customers. Cdcare is a marketplace that allows you to pay for goods in installments. For example, you can pay for a washing machine in installments and delivered to you. There are several complaints in which the company has deliberately refused to address and their staff are likely acting upon the directives from above. It is unthinkable how a business will fail to deliver a product paid for in full. Cdacre makes buying a do-and-die affair. They will drain you financially, emotionally, and mentally. They engaged in what is called forceful-buying in which you must spend your trapped funds with them at all costs. From all indications, the company is advertising or selling products they don’t have. Here is why we think so. You can see a washing machine in their store for N200,000 (just an example) and when you make the order by even paying in full, they will wait 2 weeks or more to process your order. Then after a while, they will contact you that the price has increased. Meanwhile, when you placed the order and made the payment, it was N200,000 they specified as the price. If they have the product they were advertising in their store, why didn’t they deliver it within the time frame of delivery? Let's try to give them an excuse that they have vendors they deal with it. Let's say the vendors are the ones that have the products and not Cdcare. Let's also assume that the vendors are the ones that increase the price of those products, but the question remains, why does Cdacre have to wait for weeks before contacting the customers that the product they placed an order has increased in price? Imagine paying for a washing machine for N200,000 and after two or more weeks, they are telling you the price is now N270,000. Do you understand the financial loss they have caused to the customer? The customer would have bought the washing machine for like N230,000 else where within a week or more, if he was knows that Cdcare won't deliver the product on time and wait till the price increases. Now, it is either the customer will have to pay N270,000 for the washing or he ask for a refund. Here comes the trap! They will tell you that since you have paid N200,000 for the washing machine, you can pay for the N70,000 in installments. If you take this option, you are automatically indebted to them. If you don’t have the money to pay the N70,000, they will commence an action for the recovery of the washing machine (if they have delivered it) or recovery of the money yet unpaid as they deem fit at the time. Here comes the fraud! They will still give you another option which is, since the price of the washing machine has increased from N200,000 to N270,000 and you don’t want to balance the money, you can request a refund. Don’t be carried away by the refund. The refund comes with a condition that they will collect 10% of the N200,000. This means that they will refund you N180,000 and they will take N20,000 for themselves. Is this not a fraud? They will justify their action by saying it was stated on their website that there is a 10% charge for every refund requested. But when we read the terms and conditions/terms of use on their website, there was no place it stated that if a customer pays for a product in full (not installments), there will be a 10% charge. The 10% charge for refund was for people paying for products in installments. Maybe Cdcare owner(s) may go back to their websites and edit everything there to justify their fraudulent act. Nigerians don’t take time to read terms and conditions or terms of use, so people will accept the 10% loss of their money just to get a refund for Cdcare incompetencies. Forceful buying is another one! As stated earlier, they engage in what they call forceful buying if they don’t want to refund your money because you disagree with the 10% charges. They will tell you that you should use those funds (N200,000) to buy another thing from their store. This is how helpless Nigerians are losing money to Cdcare and no one has been able to call them out. They believe that they are untouchable and have a good PR/legal team that would debunk any negative remarks about them. They forget that social media is a very powerful tool and can be more devastating than an inferno. Imagine how much customers will lose for products worth over N600,000 – N1,000,000 due to refunds from price increments or failure to deliver. The worst part is that the staff are unbothered. Customer support is very unprofessional in addressing complaints. They are very rude. They have reviews on their app on Playstore, do not be enticed with those positive reviews. Some strong negative reviews do not appear there, we don't know how they hid such extreme negative reviews. You can decide to drop a very harsh negative review to confirm it. The Federal Competition & Consumer Protection Commission (FCCPC) should look into Cdcare operations. Their company address is located at 12, Adenekan Street, Somolu, Lagos, Nigeria. 2 Likes 1 Share |
