I ordered a Microsoft Surface Pro 3 from Canada via eBay. I have paid for the delivery and delivery tracking was smooth until it arrived in Nigeria day before yesterday.
The tracking status is now showing pending custom clearance. Someone called me this afternoon requesting for my email and that i need to pay a duty (the amount has not been mentioned). I later received an email requesting my TIN.
Is this normal procedure?

What is the mode of operation?
can it be used with electricity or only gas?

I think this is only suitable for grilling, baking... Can it also be used for drying delicate materials at regulated low temperatures (40 - 80 degree celcius).
