Hello everyone. Just thought to put this out here. I obtained the CIMA certificate by taking only the last paper which is Strategic Case Study and claimed all other exemptions. WES report came out and it's equivalent to a bachelors 4 years degree.

Having gone through this thread and seeing comments like that route doesn't give a favorable evaluation isn't the case. So for clarity sake and those yet to start the process, if you are eligible for this route and can afford the money, why not try it out rather than writing BA 1-4 and save your time.

1. TYPE OF EDUCATION - HIGHER EDUCATION OR FURTHER AND PROFESSIONAL EDUCATION
2. NAME OF DIPLOMA/CERTIFICATE - ?

Note : Am still processing my Membership to be issued a certificate

Grateful if you can provide me with these information

Afternoon all, for people who have had their Transcript and LOG sent to WES, what are the steps to go about it with CIMA?
I went through the ICAN pathway wrote just case study in November and passed January when results came out.
was all along working on getting my certificate until stumbling on this tread where i found out LOG can be used.
Please assist on who or where i can send my request to.

She only needs positive assessment (education) and having her occupation on the same list with yours. Is she an Accountant / Auditor? If yes, she may go with ICAA (CAAZ). Please check out @toslad).

hello praiseisgood , No she's not any accountant/auditor. her first degree is chemistry and works as a teacher in a government school. thought she can get an accessment from her own body and if positive, the 5marks can be added to my scores or can that only be done for same field spouses?

I think 4-year course in most (if not all) state Universities is rated as Associate Degree which can only fetch 10 points as against Bachelor's Degree (15 points). Some occupations demand you have equivalent of Australian Bachelor's Degree. You may reach out to @lawland for the tier your school falls into.

I did not get separate points. The maximum point on Education for me is 15 points as both the ICAN (membership) and B.Sc were assessed to be equivalent to Australian Bachelor's Degree.

Hello praiseisgood, does that mean that B.Sc in state universities are not rated at all.
Also you said u sent in both ur bachelor degree and ICAN , Did u get separate points for them ?

Yes maám.

My ICAN (membership) was assessed as equivalent to Australian Bachelors Degree by CPAA. Same with my wife who graduated from a state suniversity. Only her ICAN (membership) was assessed as the B.Sc does not qualify -Tier palaver.

But i need a little explanation.

Am a chartered accountant ( ICAN ) with a Bsc in accounting ( Delta state university)
i have over 10 yrs working experience ( 3yrs in external audit and 8yrs as an internal control officer in one of the Nigerian banks )
So my questions are

1. will i get separate point for my ICAN and Bsc accounting evaluations
2. My experience is mainly on external audit and internal control which are branches of accounting but i observed that Internal control is not on the list of 189 so what group should i classify it as ( This is the bulk of my experience )

Answers to these will help kick start my application process on knowing which body to verify my credentials and experience.
