I believe the people here (the frequent ones) are genuine. Someone needs to apologize to another for wrong accusation.

Scammers hide their identities. I requested to discuss with Femiratess last week, and he has been open both on email and wassap. He did not request a penny from me. He was so swift and nice in responding to my enquiries. I saw his pictures from his wassap DP. He has been changing his pics.

I didn't know him before, but he gave me much attention for free since last week.

My observation, not vouching for anyone.

God bless you

I have never asked for a penny from anyone
I sent my visa to Estonia which I got in May to few people here
3ppl on this thread know me in person in Dubai

Active member, miles300 speaks to me in person and he is my Facebook friend.

Am only trying To help.

I brought the insurance from Ergo for just 100euros and I dropped the name of the insurance company. I never asked anyone to pay a dime.

If anyone needs clarification

My name on Facebook is folorunsho femi and the cover photo is a pics I took inside Emirates airline plane on my way to India in May. Profile picture in a beach (jumeirah lake towers)

I respect my name and I will never tolerate any defamation of character towards me.

At this junction when potential Estonia Students are looking for routes outta Nigeria, the devil decided to send TWO people into this section to derail us about being SCAMMED. Please and Please, if you don't want the Anger of God to visit your home, do not come here and scam innocent people off their hard earned money.
Let us all look for ways to make each other better towards leaving Naija. The elites in power don't care about us. Kindly give Una sef Brain o

How is the statement meaningful in your own reasoning.

He knew of someone with a similar name and accused me.in an inappropriate manner and I have done right by clearing myself and just imagine what you just typed.

If you are traveling to far North from Lagos, nobody is allowed to pee on the way right?
If it's true that I am a scam, he would have saved so many ppl.

For you To come and type those trash with your frustrated mind, is totally a reason why you are in your present situation. I think am done from this group sef.

men l truly don't understand your argument, if there's anything you're not sure of why not Google it,to shed more light on your argument check this link, www.vm.ee/en/newsletter.
If l am not mistaking the last paragraph of the page says the policy does not include people coming for research and purpose of study. and l guess TRP is different from WP and RP,, temporary residents permits is for purpose of study and research, while working permit and permanent resident permit, are issue to workers and EU citizens. knowledge,we need not perish for lack of it.

There has been a lot of misleading post on this forum, this is the reason we are facing problem with our processing now, The music of India is the best route, Egypt is a no go area, is what landed us in this problem now. let's research and make this forum more educative instead of making it scary. Let's do more of brainstorming than putting fear in people, let's have a constructive idea on the way forward. we are all aspiring to be successful, and we shall by God grace.

Residence permit
06/23/2017

The issue of residence permits to the third country nationals and persons with undetermined citizenship is regulated by the Aliens Act.

For submitting the application in the Service Office you need to make a reservation.

Residence permit may be temporary (validity period up to five years) or long-term.

The immigration quota for 2017 is 1317.

Upon the issue or extension of the residence permit an alien is issued a residence card. Residence card contains its holder’s personal data, data related to residence and work permits, photo and fingerprint images.

By applying for a residence permit fingerprints are captured from applicants as of 6 years of age. In order to capture fingerprints, an applicant has to apply in person to the Service Office of a Prefecture of the Police and Border Guard Board or to foreign representation of the Republic of EstoniaFingerprints are not taken, if a person is less than 6 years of age, less than 5 years have passed from capturing fingerprints by applying for a travel document, residence permit/right of residence or residence permit card, or if permanent incapability of a person to give fingerprints has been established in advance.

As a result of the amendments of the Aliens Act from 18.01.2017, aliens who have a residence permit of Estonia are no longer obliged to stay in Estonia for at least 183 days during a year. Aliens have an obligation to use a residence permit in accordance with its intended purpose and fulfil the conditions for the issue of the residence permit also during the period of its validity. As a consequence of the amendments, the obligation to register stay away from Estonia at the Police and Border Guard Board was lifted. Details of the place of residence in the Population Register of Estonia still have to be correct.

May God bless u for this post bro...too much negativity on this page

its not about negativity. getting an info doesnt mean you must make your decision on it. you will also make your research and if its not so...come back and prove the person wrong with evidence. We are not the one issuing visa in any embassy, so our negativity{as you call it} isnt a factor to consider. we dont have to say things you want to hear just not to be negative.

@ femirates in as much as statistics shows rate of issuing visa is high, it still doesn't mean applicants frm Non EU Nations won't get even with remaining slots, I'm very sure most of those visa issued by issued to workers and this is the period that students apply abi Estonia dey do summer application ni?

this is the period people apply like you rightly said but mind you applications have multiplied immensely. no matter what, they can never exceed the 1317 TRP to non EU applicants. And saying most are issued to workers, i disagree. The point is there was a massive increase in applications. Non EU coutries comprises people from Nigeria, India, Bangladesh and a host of many others.

A friend of mine in Estonia, a graduating Masters students said we should individually write (separately) to the schools using the same complaint format. He said as far as the schools are concerned, people have been coming over the years and still coming. But since things are different this year, we need to shout to them via emails. If we can also do anything collectively, it will be nice.

He said he too would also talk to them. He actually thought I was the only one in Nigeria not able to get visa. He never took my complaint serious. I have been writing to them for three days now.

the school clearly states that it wont for any reason resend a certification of enrollment if for any reason an applicant cannot make it there.

the schools arent responsible for visa and they can never do anything about it. What has a school in Estonia got to do with Egyptian embassy or India embassy...all the school is responsible for is to give a document that truly you have admission. thats all

This does not in any way show they have excess applicants than the allocated TRP

what are you saying.....if by june 1, 854 has been issued and you say that does not in anyway show they have excess applicants. i got my visa on may 28, my frd got his june 12 and the serial numbers shows 63 was issued just between that dates. please what does that mean.

I think that's for permanent residence , if it's for temporary we no go get am be that , according to police boarder guard they receive 300 application in a week then imagine in a year ...

permanent residence is a whole different thing entirely.....its talking about TRP from citizens of Non EU countries.

I do not think this matter concerns people going for purpose of study, l read it somewhere and l will try and check to see if l can get the link pasted here...

TRP is TRP it does not matter what you are going as either as a student or spouse to someone there. The categorization is citizens of EU and non EU countries.

The news below was on June 1, 2017.....please dont blame india and egypt for the scenarios there, i guess they are only acting based on instructions and those plannning to go to other places, please send a mail to the embassy to confirm if you can come stating the most probable date you feel you can. Its the case of manchester united playing barcelona and only one viewing center could show it...am sure you know what that means. God bless you all.

..................THE NEWS.......................

The Estonian Government must soon decide what to do in a situation, where businesses struggling with workforce shortages wish to bring in workers to Estonia, but the 0.1 per cent quota for residence and work permits stipulated by law will already be filled by the middle of the year.

Interior Minister Andres Anvelt is scheduled to take the issue of immigration quotas to the government within the next few weeks, the public broadcaster ERR reported on Friday. This year's quota for temporary immigration for citizens of countries from outside the EU is 1,317 people, but as of right now, 854 permits have been issued, which indicates that this year's quota may already be filled in summer.

Anvelt told ERR that while the easiest option would be to increase the quota, he is not certain if that would be the best option. He said that the strongest pressure to allow more immigrants to come to Estonia is coming from construction and industrial companies, but the state would like to receive educated workforce. This is why, when deciding over immigration permits, Estonia should implement a points system, which in addition to the needs of the labor market would also assess the education level and adaptability of the people arriving in the country.

This looks too expensive brother.
Can we just Mail Estonia all together & give them list of admitted students finding it hard to get Indian & Egypt Visa out of Nigeria. For them to find an alternative for us. Because all this news of is becoming scary

the embassy isnt responsible for all that...i was helping a friend apply for indian visa from Dubai and they asked me to tell Estonia embassy to give me official invitation as proof so they can grant the visa...they told me they cant.

mind you Estonia is only allowed 1317 TRP per year as per schengen area regulations..as at June 1, they had issued 847. All this issue of visa not granted isnt about Egypt or India. But the Estonia embassy which must have informed them about their visa restrictions. Imagine you are going to school in September and they asked you to come back in 2months and you must resume by 15th Sept or else you lose the admission.

i think i have shed some lights on this issues. i went tru all of the process, hence i know all what i just typed.

nah wa ooo. What of taking tourism visa to Dubai from there to Georgia then apply for visa and trp in Georgia.
In Turkey requirements I saw application fee not visa fee does that means it will be paid b4 Visa is granted?

you only have access to Georgia when you have a resident permit in Dubai not just a tourist visa. and having a resident visa isnt a 3months parole sef, so thats no go area. I am based in Dubai so am telling you just as it is.

[s]Hello everyone. I am currently in New Delhi. My appointment with Estonian embassy was 16th of Jan. I was asked to pick up my visa on 23rd of January.[/s] The process was also as straight forward as my Abuja Embassy was. Visa fee is 5705 rupees. TRP fee is 5705 rupees.

Interview Questions;

What are you studying?
What is your specialization?
Which University are you studying?
When is your program starting?
Sir kindly make visa payment of 5705 rupees.
(after payment)
Enjoy your studies.

Documents I submitted;

Visa form
TRP form (if you are studying for less than 6 months, you do not need to apply for this)
Data of close relative form
Bank statement
Bank letter of reference
Admission letter
Int'l passport (also make photocopy)
Flight itinerary
Proof of Accommodation (if you applied for student dorm and you got an e-mail from them, use it)
Two passport photograph
University, secondary and primary school certificates
Health insurance certificate
Sworn affidavit (saying that you will buy another health insurance in Estonia if the need arises)
Affidavit of sponsorship
Printed copy of e-mail from your school to the embassy
Copy of appointment booking
Any other document (No harm in having more documents than required)

NOTE:
When traveling, remember to carry all your original documents. Make sure you put them in hand luggage when boarding a flight. Do not check-in your documents. My checked in luggage got missing on transit. It arrived Delhi four days later. My experience here so far has not been pleasant. But anyway the city itself is nice and living expenses is comparable to Nigeria.

Change your cash in Nigeria to euro, pound or usd before traveling, then when you get to India you can convert to Rupee.

Nor think say na only people on Nairaland dey go Estonian embassy in India ooooo. When I got there on the 16th, we were 5 Nigerians there out of 10 persons in the office and many of them told me they are not on this forum.

I wish you all good luck.

It means you have to pay immediately after signing your study agreement in Estonia. Of course before lecture begins. It's kinda strict.

it means you have to pay half of the first year school fees minus the prepayment of 300euros within 10days of signing the study agreement

i just finished reading from page one to the last page. studying in Estonia is really cool but they need to help us overcome the challenges associated with visa application. The temporary solution is to make use of VFS (that handles visa applications for some countries like Canada) and send all the required documents by courier to their nearest embassy for processing.

i hope so
