Denn:
i have noticed Nigerians hate the police so much.

We scorn at them and see them as 'beneath' us. That is why they are usually aggressive.

I have been caught on the wrong side of the law few times....like beating a red light or passing hidden 'one-way' and on most occasions, i have left them without paying a dime. I work on their psychology and we all end up chatting and becoming friends....even LASTMA.

Lets always show them respect, not fear.

thanks

I don't agree. When an average nigeria policeman catches breaking traffic rules, d first thing that comes to his mind is d money he is going to get out of u n in most cases № matter how polite u try to be u ll only be wasting ur time. This is from personal xperience. I av neva been rude to a police man on d road.

Car Talk / Re: Tokunbo Lexus Rx 300 Or Brand New Kia Rio 2014 by fidelio2002: 10:20pm On Oct 19, 2014
@op buy d Rio And av peace of mind for d nxt 4yrs or more. A close friend of mine went as far as Togo 2 yrs ago to buy 2003 RX300 wt a clean title. Not up to one year he started running from pillar to post trying to fix one fault or d other. Most times now he would leave d car at home n take a bike to where ever he is going around town because he is scared it might develop a fault. There is nothing like driving a brand new car. My opinion anyway, d choice is urs to make.
Car Talk / Re: Mercedes Benz Recalls 8000 C-class Over Steering Wheel Fault by fidelio2002: 5:46pm On Oct 18, 2014
CityNG:
Only unseasoned motorists will ever think that.

ALL manufacturers source parts from independent suppliers (in fact some options are installed by third parties at ports - wheel covers, pin stripping, mud flaps, etc).

So these parts go on different brands and models and submodes.

No manufacturer is immune even with the best of quality control.

The key difference though is if the recall was willingly offered by an astute manufacturer or was it forced by a governmental agency.

Weldone sir! U spoke my mind.

GAZZUZZ:

@ the bolded did you say family? Those guys must me really mean.

Edo, ondo, 9thmile/enugu, bayelsa, warri..... I've seen them all and I'm always a step ahead. A friend of mine (police) once told me the Problem with nigerian drivers is their inability to follow a case to a logical conclusion they are always in a hurry. Worst case scenario when I'm at a check point with a stubborn chap is to make a "prank" call to a friend who says give them the phone, does some introduction shouts a little, next thing I here is sorry sir yes sir sorry sir he didn't tell us sir we will release him sir and I'm off!! I always beat them at their own game grin grin grin But I always meticulously ensure my papers are intact.
Yes my bro, i was wt my family. That ur scope make sence die. Maybe i ll try it one of these days. And u r very correct about drivers been in a hurry And that is what d police always take advantage of.

@Gazzuzz the way u arranged ur car papers is really nice but i bet u if u drive in Edo State d police there must find a fault in those papers. I was in Edo State 3wks ago And was driving (a camry) when some police men sopped me. They asked for DL And my car papers which i gave to them. When they saw i had all they asked for, then one of them pointed at my license they the column written colour that its custom they wrote there instead of the vehicle colour. i explained to them that d color of a car can be changed at anytime perhaps that is why d FRSC pple put custom there but they refused hear. After delaying me for about 30mins And discovered i was not ready to drop money, they now allowed me to go.

Another experience wt Nasarawa State police today. I was driving wt my family dis morning when i notice my vehicle temperature getting unusually high. So i parked my car under Keffi bridge, came down, opened d hood, And noticed one of d wires connecting d fan lossed contact. After fixing it And closing d hood. A police van came wt 3 policemen inside blocking my car. They said i was not supposed to park under d bridge. I explained it was my car that developed a fault that made me stop but they still did not want to hear. They tried intimidating me And asked for money but i refused to give them. Then they took me to their station. When we got there, they collected my car keys, vehicle papers And DL. I was still not intimidated. I now requested to see their DPO. Then they started soft-pedalling. Luckily, d DPO heard us n came out. When i explained what happened he barked at them n ordered them to give all d items they took from me. Na so i take free today Oº°˚˚°º . I have lost confidence in d Nigerian police!

Fulaman198:

When I mean slower, I am referring to track times.

Americans refer to them as 0-60mph times (0-100kmh) and 1/4 mile times. Those are typically the most important measurements of how one judges a cars speed. The 2007 V6 Camry has a better 0-60 time and better 1/4 mile time than the E36 Bimmers (M3 E36 included).
Guy u av tried explaining to him, leave n let him continue to wallow in ignorance. And imagine him asking what sch u attended when he knws nothing.
HP=torque * RPM/5252. In a lay man's language its a determinant of d strenght, acceleration n speed of a car.

Car Talk / Re: Automatic Transmission: Do Their Benefits Outweigh Their Issues? by fidelio2002: 4:36pm On Aug 28, 2014
I learnt how to drive wt a manual And my first car which i used for 5yrs was manual. But immediately i switched to auto i told myself i ll neva drive a manual again. Whoever thinks auto cars r problematic because of gear issues which is actually their fault because of poor maintenance should keep on driving their manual. As for me, there is № going bck to manual. Use the Toyota type t4.

I really wouldn't advise you to use Oando atf when there is the Toyota type T4 in the market. That's the best oil for your gearbox.
