Ok I am a CEC member and I would like to tell all people the CE does have inner city mission. They have something called ICM Academy which offers free education to people from poorer backrounds. The website is: http://www.theinnercitymission.org/icm_academy.php It is a means of winning souls. And yes I am a partner of it because I believe in reaching the poor, but you cannot tell the poor Jesus loves them and not help them in the physical. As christains it is our responsibility to reach as many people as we can for Jesus. Soul winning is our number one job and by providing free schools etc this is one way of reaching out to the unreachable. Thanks, this is good to know and i agree with you it is a way of reaching out. I feel more churches should do more for their congregations too especially the youth, more free schools, scholarships, nurseries and creches for working mothers, good standard free assistance funded by tithes |

Religion / No/few Free Pentecostal Sponsored Schools In Nigeria by firefly999: 2:05pm On Aug 01, 2011 |
Some Pentecostal churches appear to have vast wealth but I'm not aware of any free schools in Nigeria funded by one of these churches. I'm thinking of primary /secondary schools located in deprived areas, could be just for the church members with perhaps percentage intake for non members? Would love to hear about any that you know of and how well set up they are. If there are none, why could this be? A good number of church goers in Nigeria pay their tithes religiously, |
Business / Interested In Selling The Body Shop Bath, Skincare Products As An Agent? Uk Only by firefly999: 7:03pm On Feb 18, 2011 |
Hi ladies (and gents) The Body Shop At Home is the direct selling channel of high street chain The Body Shop. If you are interested in earning money selling their products as a part time business, please email me bodyshop4u@ymail.com I'm a Nigerian mom living in the south east of England and this is what I do. I have found it financially rewarding and would like to share the opportunity with others and build my team. In my team we share tips, and support each other towards achieving our personally set sales goals. If you would like your own business this is a great way to learn the fundamentals at low risk while making money too. I recently attended the Body Shop At Home Spring conference and observed that Nigerians are under represented there. I know for a fact that we love opportunities to make money and with at least 25% commission on sales, there has to be a few of my kinswoman out there who could make this work for themselves. Please call Kemi on 07927688201 . Also please feel free to ask any questions here as well If there are any TBSAH nairalanders reading this, would love to hear from you and chat about how things are going Cheers! |

Politics / Re: Drama As Man Attacks Obasanjo At Lagos Airport by firefly999: 1:17am On Nov 09, 2010 |
Re: Drama As Man Attacks Obasanjo At Lagos Airport « #21 on: Today at 12:53:54 AM » Yeah, makes no sense to compare OBJ to Abacha. OBJ left Nigeria better off than he found it (assuming you can temporarily ignore his People's Demoncratic Party rigging elections everywhere.) I don't like the man at all, but you have to give credit to what he did. GSM, increased international respect, a better economy, resurgent hope in the future of the country. He is/was too much of an autocrat, but he did a fairly effective job. Also, you have to remember how TERRIBLE the times were in Abacha's era. Comparing Abacha's era to OBJs is like comparing night and day. Only a fool will call OBJ a complete failure, he did a pretty good job, all things considered. Also, notice how we don't fear the army as much any more these days. Are any of you seriously concerned about coups? If someone else had gained office after Abacha, we might still be concerned about coup. Give credit where it is due, imo Where is the LIKE button on this forum? I want to click for the above comment |

Newly signed up but have dropped in occassionally for years. Believe I'm of an older generation than most NL ers (early 40s) too but i love the laughs I get and ready info. It does get a bit rough in some threads tho . So I love NL but a bit embarassed abt it due to the age thing and some ruffians using bad language on the site |
