Since you understand economics, why not sell your house, car , take a massive loan join and buy dollars. You stand to make five times your investment. Go for it,sell everything and you'll be richer than Dangote by December.

Will you be president or you're not ambitious?
Very good question about something most nigerians don't understand.
Not everybody should aspire for leadership positions because very few people are equipped with leadership traits. Nigerians aspire to be leaders out of greed and arrogance.
Buhari has nothing to be a president with but still schemed his way to Aso rock.
My presidency would not favor Nigeria and neither would Obis as he is not rugged enough and has not passed through fire.

Cardosos strategy is working but the obedients won't like it at all.
They were looking for naira to free fall to 2000 to 1. Very unpatriotic people.

She should go to jail biko. I want to see her serve 7 years in prison with hard labour. She will get sense when she comes out.
Her going to jail would damage Nigerias international reputation and erisco s reputation as well because the IGP got involved.
You have to understand that westerners are far more civilized than nigerians and look at things in a more rational and less primitive way.
They love a David and Goliath story and trust me,they don't support Goliath. They would turn Chioma into a cause celebre and Nigeria would look like a corrupt, brutal country that victimizes women.
I was reading an article in the office in London one year. It was about some arrested people who got freed after spending years in prison without conviction. My colleague,an English man saw the article and laughed for three whole minutes then phoned his girlfriend to tell her that people could spend ten years in jail in Nigeria without conviction.
She then started looking at me the way you look at a monkey in a suit. Very embarrassing.
Nobody is going to win this case.

You think..worst case scenario, they would register a different business name and change the label.
He is a billionaire for a reason. He is definitely intelligent.
Nigerians are getting more educated by the day. They even know to boycott Najiko so changing business name will achieve nothing. Only selling off the company would work

Participate in what? Why are they hiding the posts that the woman made that the tomato paste has being killing people and the owner should stop the killings already? She claimed she was buying the product for the first time. She boasted she has successfully destroyed the man's business too. People caution her that she should have called the Customer care instead of running down somebody's business. She was asked to write an apology but came back online that it was written under duress, that she won't apologize. So, let her face the consequences of her diarrhea mouth and Chest beating.
I think most people are concerned about the bullying aspect of the case and the fact that the IGP personally got involved in the case.

Crime / Re: My Landlady Made Them Kill Someone Because Of Tribalism by Firingpin: 1:51pm On Mar 29
Jewskillmohamed:
In my neighborhood here in egbe, this stupid landlady sge sells dried bonga fish known for her strong prejudices against certain tribes especially "omo igbo". She owned a row of apartments (one one room) in ikotun, a vibrant area near synagogue of Joshua, where people from different backgrounds coexisted harmoniously until one fateful day.

It started innocently enough with rumors circulating about thefts in the area. Tensions rose as suspicion fell on a group of igbos hawking and sleeping in the area at night, among whom was a young boy named Chidi. Chidi was from the Igbo tribe, which immediately drew the landlady's ire. She spread malicious gossip, painting all Igbo people as thieves and troublemakers.

this very evening, as Chidi was just leaving where he went to take some satchet Kai Kai , a mob of angry residents, fueled by the landlady's words, confronted him. Despite his protests of innocence, they refused to listen. The situation quickly escalated, with shouts of "kill am na Igbo" by this stupid landlady her beef is what I don't understand
In the chaos that followed, an innocent bystander, an elderly man named Azeez, tried to intervene and calm the crowd. Mistakenly labeled as an Igbo sympathizer, he became the target of their blind rage. The mob pounced on him with sticks and stones, unleashing a wave of brutality that stained the pavement where food stuffs are kept to be sold .

As Azeez lay motionless, his blood mixing with the dust of ikotun, the reality of the violence shocked some bystanders into action. They managed to shield Chidi from further harm and called the authorities, who arrived just in time to prevent another tragedy.

The landlady, now confronted with the consequences of her hateful rhetoric, retreated into silence, her once influential voice reduced to a shameful whisper.

Amidst the chaos and violence Before the mob turned its fury towards Chidi, they had already killed another boy, who was Igbo. It was a haunting realization that fueled the terror gripping the neighborhood.
this grim reminder of the dangers of unchecked hatred but Yoruba do travel abroad will they complain about racism when a white man attack ?
violence had led to the loss of innocent lives, leaving the community reeling with regret and sorrow in the most devastating way possible, highlighting the destructive power of prejudice and the irreversible consequences of mob mentality.

Which movie is this. You are not making any sense. You tag yorubas as tribal bigots and make horror stories up. Did Azeez not speak Yoruba to his assailants. Address yourself first.

Islam for Muslims / Re: Islam Enjoins Thinking Well Of Others by Firingpin: 12:57pm On Oct 01, 2021
Ibkhaleel01:
Islam Is a Disease...
Or at least that’s what many “intellectuals” & Governments around the world want us to believe.
If a disease is something that is dangerous and may cause death… Let’s analyze what DOES Islam kill?
Islam kills desire… It stops us from being ruled by our base animal instinct and teaches us to align ourselves with the Divine Will of our Creator.

Islam kills consumerism & materialism… It constantly reminds us that this life is temporary and nothing will follow us to the grave other than our righteous deeds.

Islam kills racism… It teaches us that Allah doesn’t look at our outward appearance, He looks at the state of our hearts and judges us based on our awareness of Him… Something only He can judge and no one else.

Islam kills addiction… The only civilization to ever successfully abolish alcohol, one of the most addictive substances on earth, was the Islamic civilization.

Islam kills animosity… It teaches us that paradise is unachievable for anyone who causes emotional, physical or verbal harm to others… It teaches us to harbor love for even our enemies.
For those that DEPEND on vices such as these and others for their profits & ability to control people… is it any wonder that Islam terrifies them? It’s no wonder that they view it as a disease.

Islam kills animosity… It teaches us that paradise is unachievable for anyone who causes emotional, physical, or verbal harm to others… It teaches us to harbor love for even our enemies.
Allah was truthful when He told us that Islam was sent to take us from beneath layers of darkness to bring us into the light. Subhanallah!
May Allah (SWT) allow us to always see what is harmful to us and what is good for us and allow us to follow the teachings of His beloved Messenger so that we may be cured from the many diseases that threaten our hearts. Ameen!
lol, you have no facts whatsoever just wishful fantasies. Northern Nigeria is the most drug addicted part of the country, the Arabs are the most racially discriminating people in the world and are extremely brutal and non feeling..Most of the I.P numbers of people viewing gay films on porn hub are from Pakistan. Stick with facts, don't confuse yourself.

Education / Re: How Private School Owners Are Dubiously Cheating Their Teachers by Firingpin: 1:14pm On Jul 18, 2020
uromii:
Every honest proprietor is supposed to have paid it staff their February, March and April salary in full plus even necessary bonus because they collect their fees per term and this money is paid in whole and they normally demand this money (fee drive) from second week of resumption and their dead line for payments is always that first month of resumption and the lockdown started towords ending of March , almost all school's does this.

In other words %96 percent of schools in Nigeria have already collected their pupils school fees before the covid-19 lock down.

To show How wicked black man can be most of the proprietors/proprietress have dubiously refused to give their staff their complete payment for April, May. Most school owners are not always honest to their workers because no regulatory bodies beams their watch light on them.

So if you are a teacher you teach in a private school and you did not receive your April and may salary from your director , just know you have been cheated.
Wrong analysis. Some parents wait up to four months to pay just because of financial handicap.By your analysis the child should have been booted out at exam time.Wicked thing to do man.

define durable?

then define premium too

then name a tecno device with its complete spec and performance that is premium and durable, and i promise you i will never bash tecno.

your time starts now.
To be candid,I don't go for premium phones because of a bad experience with a Samsung galaxy S2 which I bought brand new for 75k then, Naira was strong then, price iof data was crippling so I bought a BB torch and left the Samsung in a drawer for nine months, when I returned to it , it wouldn't work again but the infinix hot note I bought later worked for five years despite being abused for long periods.Transsion makes good durable phones but they are overpriced. They do not aim for the high end market but the middle and the budget end. I don't buy Transsion phones A.T.M but would buy if the price is right.

Nairaland games section is a specialised sub section of the forum and not a microcosm of Nigeria.More than ninety percent of Nigerians do not play graphics intensive games so do not need Snapdragon devices. I bet statistics would indicate that most nairalanders don't go to the games section.I myself play chess and Scrabble. Why waste our scarce foreign exchange to buy something we don't need.,you don't need a Lamborghini to go to the supermarket.

Techno phones aren’t durable , it lags ,it hangs . I will take iPhone 5S over any tecno of infinix
We really need to put things into perspective.Transsion makes makes durable phones but they are over priced. I bought an infinix hot note about five years ago,it only stopped working three weeks ago and I only changed the battery once. At one one point it was downloading torrents continuously for four months without a break with the support of two power banks, generator and NEPA.Those were the days of MTN simple server. A new premium tecno is better than an aged iPhone because of technological advances. Most Nigerians are not into.gaming so Tecno phones are suitable and adequate for the right price.
