Do more research dear, some schools give you some form of funding.
why advice someone to go through such long route.
There's no guarantee of having d said job u r talking about.
If u R eligible for express entry especially as proof of funds is out of d way.. Why not advice him to take that route.

Tobigo12 please don't waste ur time and resources on this route... Follow d bigger picture which is why this thread was created. Like I said start from page zero and help ur self with the information there.

Good idea. I have thought about doing Masters too but it expensive. It cost over $14,000 a year. Or am i missing something?
Oh no don't waste ur time doing that.

Please check page 0 of this thread and see check if u r eligible for express entry. If u r that's a possibility of being a canadian permanent resident.

If u need help come back and ask questions and you'll be answered.

Texas mums, please how long do you typically wait to undergo a scheduled 'normal' CS? I'm having a baby in Houston and the Dr tells me that I have to wait 39 weeks, that this is the law in Texas, except there are complications or specific reasons that warrant bringing out the baby earlier.

Thanks.
ain't u lucky... Wait till u hear other states...

Thanks a lot. This information is priceless. But do I have to do anything specifically like get a doctor's report or clearance certificate? Leaving by November will actually be perfect.

Emirates has a fit to fly pdf document on their page download it and give it to her Dr to fill and sign. Also her Dr need to write a fit to fly letter.
It must state her Edd, EGA, number of fetus and that she's fit fly.

Make copies cos u'll submit at d counter and boarding gate.

Hi guys, I'm doing PCC by Friday and going for medicals by next weekend. My wife will be 14 weeks pregnant by then. If I can lodge my 190 visa by 24th and front load all doc's, I'm hoping for direct grant in 4 - 6 weeks. My hope is that IOM can assist to book a ticket for 1st or 2nd week in October.

I don't want to get trapped in Naija due to my wife's prenancy. Does anyone know what the maximum weeks of pregnancy we can be allowed to fly with Emirates or Qatar?

Also how long does IOM take to get booked tickets?
36 weeks... I flew Emirates early this year.

Greetings House,

I am trying to book my flight for my second missionary trip to Houston. In my scout for tickets, reading through the health and travel section of the emirates airline it is saying one cant travel after the beginning of the 33rd week and I need to travel at 36 weeks. For people that have used emirates airlines (@DrPrincess) is this possible or do I have to look for another airline?

I flew Emirates at almost 34 weeks... Their website say 36 weeks or so

Hello everyone.. a newbie here and i started reading from part 1. To the chiefs of staff: @Justwise @nerf @ firstty @ladyG @Debb @shawbabe @desoul @Twoods..and many others thank you for your immense contribution and enlightenment.

While there are stories that seem suspicious; here is mine and i need your sincere advice. Grab your popcorn.

Me and hubby recently renewed our b1/b2 visa via dropbox in June cos they were soon to expire and we got another 2yrs. We had used the former twice..2015 and 2016 to Newyork and Houston for vac. I am preg and now seriously considering going to the usa for birthing cos i am not comfy with going for another CS. And my new docs appointment last week wasnt good news to my ears hence the consideration to travel. Hubby just got a new job on friday to start today Monday..so he cant even embark on a trip till further notice. Now my question is..i want to travel to give birth in Oct or Nov( EDD is December) ..

1.i am thinking of writing to the embassy if i can apply for change of visa status to B2 though i have a B1/B2 already. I am not up to going for a vacay and coming back and then go year end again... too many things i cant leave for now. And to go later. I will have to with my toddler and MiL.

2. My MiL will be applying for visa for the first time shoukd she apply for a B2 ?

Your honest answers will be appreciated but make una soffry sharp mouth for me oo.

1. b1b2 convers birthing
2. She's not giving birth is she? Therefore it's vacay for her

Una get mind oh, that ought to be an abomination by now! Make una coolu-coolu, coolu temper joor.... On leave and holidaying, will just do some catch up on this thread sha.

I quite agree with you, But the approach of recent has been kinda harsh. Instead of leniently addressing the issue and proffering solution, Someone just bumps into you as if he/she was aware of your intention, financial status and plans.

If you what to attest to what am saying, go through the previous parts of this forum and and see how matters re being addressed and compare to present when all most everybody is a VO and CBP officer. Its a faceless forum and you ned to respect the fact that you dont know who you re addressing.

A little courtesy is just my point which solely is just about the use of some words when addressing matters.
these comments are even nice.... Where have u been... TWoods strangely nicely responded.... I'm in shock.

On to d main topic...
It's accumulated same ol story ish.
Why because of fear or shld I say scheme spoil it for others. because d more I mistakenly got pregnant stories will definitely spoil it for others.

What they mean is did you inform the embassy at your interview. As I mentioned, afterthought letters of intent are a wholly Nigerian invention. You won't find this requirement on any US immigration site.
nope... That's not what dey meant.. Because I have travelled with that visa... So "at my interview" doesn't play out. Once u r going to have ur baby the whole ish is different... Vacation dem stamp me in and that's it.
Truthfully asking me if u informed the embassy doesn't make sense... Because I've used and used that visa... I just concluded because it's child birth so more scrutiny

Notification of intent or change of intent letters are a uniquely Nigerian invention. It is not a US immigration requirement.

But they always ask " did u inform the embassy?" Hence the notification of intent.
Vacation I wasn't asked. But to have my kids I was both times

Good morning everyone, I am a new member of this forum and I would like to ask few questions as I am 8 months gone. I am currently in Europe with a valid temporary resident permit and I just started considering giving birth in the state.
1. What are my chances of getting a visa as I am 8 months gone.
2. Should I tell the VO I am going for child birth or just family visit because I have an invitation from my sis in law.
3. Like how many weeks do i need in total (booking an interview appointment, getting the visa and leaving for the state).
Less I forget, I am a new mum and a first time mum. Your advice and contributions will be highly appreciated. Hope to read from you all soonest. Thank you.
1. Ur chances depends on u, Ur preparedness and favour from God
2.tell d vo u r going for child birth....please don't lie
3. If u r 8 months I'm assuming u r 32 weeks.. So meaning by 34-36 weeks u shld b out of naija

MamaOO:

You're already 8months gone. Even if you got the visa today and bought the ticket today (which is impossible) I doubt any airline will be willing to fly you.

Looking at a realistic timeline, it takes at least 1-3 weeks to secure a visa interview at a US Consulate/Embassy, 2-3 working days for the visa to be ready. You're near your due date already.
8 months is relative.
It cab be 32 weeks uno

I have read many stories like that here and many people here arguing against it are doing so because the issue was brought by TWoods (their common enemy), not because they truly believed that letter of change of intent worth anything when you lied during visa interview

Hello house,

please just having a conversation with my aunt n she was implying that whatever surname i register with @ the hospital is what they will put for my unborn child even though i told her i would be coming with my marriage certificate( i have not done change of name, only got married in late last yr plus my visa is in my maiden name).

can anyone clarify plz? has any1 been in this situation?
it's what u fill in d form that'll b written there.
Go with ur marriage certificate and explain you haven't changed ur name. Cos u will need to show ur passport.
