I dont believe that it is a Nigerian factor. As a matter of fact i dont believe in anything known as "Nigerian factor". It is the system that we must pull down. We are a product of the system. Nigerians travel abroad and behave themselves because of the system put in place there. I have in many occasion seen foreigners disobey trafffic laws here in Lagos. This is not to mention some dirty business deals carried out here by same foreigners. The issue is we have a morally collapsed system where it almost seem illegal for you to be law abiding. My resolve is, we need to define the kind of country we want to have, encourage excellence by reward and put in place punitive structures that respects no one. A big task but achievable. |

it seems to me that we can change the situation by our attitude to our nation as a whole. Its the people that can do this and it must be a collective resolve. We dont have a punitive system that can guarrantte change and that to me is the bane of the corruptive attitude by most Nigerians. We see every opportunity as a means to an end. Our leaders steal and plunder our resources knowing fully well that they are above the law. Nigerians need an attitudinal change, play down on materialism and also see an elective or political position as a call to service to Nigeria and humanity. |

Nigeria is blessed with so much in terms of natural resources and even human resources. What is therefore the problem with Nigeria? We have often said bad leadership and enomous corruption in high and low places. What can we do to change these vices and for once set the nation on the path of progress? This is a case study for us. Happy New Year in Advance to all. |

Nigeria is with a leadership that can barely be felt. OBJ in his hey days can be felt overtly or covertly. Is the President in town for the last 20 months or so? The global economic woes is helping the man now cos even the finest of economies are barely surviving. Yaradua is simply lost in the chaos. Anybody knows how much we have done as a nation since the arrival of MR RULE OF LAW? I cant lay my hands on any except ofcourse his love for ram slaughtering on sallah day. i hope we dont get slaughtered by his lack of leadership? ![]() |

This is a clear case of a confused leadership. The Man does not know what he got himself into being the PRESIDENT OF THIS COUNTRY. Unprepared, without any clue. Thats what Nigeria will have to go thru at least for the next 3yrs or so. The country lack direction cos the man has nothing to offer. Akunyili an iformation minister? Abacha wouldnt have done that. Nigeria Pray!!! |

His dismissal is a total show of shame that the Nigeria Police has been know for. It did not come as a surprise. But what amazes me is the way the President is going about his rule of Law. Yaradua is simply insane in allowing this to happen. Agreed, Ribadu is not a saint himself neither is he a sacred but we should allow the law to take its course giving the fact that the whole matter is in court already. This is a shame on Nigeria and the international community will only be laughing at Yardua's style of rule of law. We have a confused and numb president. Nigeria Pray!!!! |
