I'm I to dictate to the school how to go about their recruitment process? Yes, this is 2013 which has only a few more days left of it for us to get to 2014 and its a pity that you cannot follow simple instruction. Read through this thread again from page 1 and learn to abide by instruction except of course you wanna remain idle @ home.
U seem really dumb. Na so una dey take fail exam. I asked a simple question dat demanded a simple answer & u are talking trash. Ode! Who told u I'm idle @ home? I dnt waste my time on submitting hardcopies of application. If d HR or employers can't put their corporate email for submission of CVs then dey can keep their jobs. I'm a competent teacher wit 5 yrs experience, working in a reputable school & I can still make do wit dat & live fine. U tink evry1 here is jobless like u. Mtcheww!!

Teebest82: I do wonder at times if the rate of unemployment nowadays is as much that of our fathers and grandfathers in those days.I am now 30years of age and not yet settled down because of financial constraint.I am planning to start teaching in secondary schools as from next year after spending three years without any meaninful job after my NYSC.All i do is marketing with their meeting of target palavas. What i am thinking of now is that, can teaching in a private school earn you enough money for marriage and settling down as a family?
Why not? U can settle down & live a good life with some teaching jobs. Some private secondary school pay as high as #250k/month to experienced teachers while plenty pay as low as #30k or less. So depending on the teaching job u may live a better life than some bankers or people in telecoms....Good teaching jobs are even becomin quite competitive & scarce nowadays.

All.is.vanity:
I am a staunch member of Nairaland and I've been contributing to vital topics since I joined. Though dis is my second account with Nairaland and I opened it about 5 months ago, but my first account was opened over 2 yrs ago. I've bn contributing with my 1st account.

My primary purpose for joining is to secure a job, no matter the salary involved, as long as it caters for my needs; bathing/laundry soaps, toothpaste, clothes, recharge card, food, shelter, cutting my hair, etc.
I've never been lucky getting any, despite all my efforts. I read and contribute to topics that talks about; how people got their jobs and when, and I got to understand that some of these guys that got these jobs through Nairaland, joined about a month, 2 or 3 months ago!

I have a degree from a university here in Nigeria, with a good result(C.G.P.A: 4.02, I.e second class, upper division). I have been looking for a job for the past 3 years and I have written some job tests and attended some interviews;but all to no avail.
NSITF was one of them! I made it through the test process and after the interview, I heard nothing.

Many attimes I ask myself, could it be that I don't have luck? Is life all about luck or could it be a spiritual manipulation by the enemies?
Nairalanders, I call on you all, especially those in better places, to save my soul(S.O.S)
My case is similar to yours but slightly worse. Like u I finished wit a CGPA slightly above yours wit a Computer science degree from a Fed university & I tot getting a good job will be like a stroll in the park 4me. But its been over 4 yrs since I finished nysc & I am stil waiting 4 a job...I do tink there is som element of luck in life but I also believe whatever is predestined to be yours wil be yours sooner or later. So like me don't give up we will find a job eventually. The devil is a liar. Its d situation of d country. Jobs are not created yet hundreds of thousands of graduates are turned out every year to join d alredy saturated unemployment market. Meanwhile as u wait if u can find a teaching job to do start doin it while u wait 4a gud job. Prayer is gud but I dnt tink people dat are unemployed worship d devil. So keep hoping.....we will smile somday..
Jobs/Vacancies / Re: Federal House Of Reps Ask Immigration To Refund The N1000 Employment Form Fees by flexxee(m): 10:35am On Oct 27, 2013
SailorXY: Federal House of Reps ask Immigration to refund the N1000
employment form fees to job seekers.

The House of
Representatives has
directed the Nigeria
Immigration Service
(NIS) to refund the
N1,000 fee
applicants in its last
recruitment
exercise paid for
employment form.
The Joint
Committee on Public
Service Matter,
Employment, Labour and Productivity as well as Anti-Corruption,
National Ethics and Values was mandated by the House to probe
racketeering of job placement in the public service.
At the two-day public hearing yesterday, the committee decried the
flagrant contravention of public service rules by the NIS, Nigeria
Customs Service (NCS) and Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC),
among others, on recruitment.
The three agencies were asked to return today, having failed to
provide the committee with documents on the procedure for their
recruitment.
The Nigeria Immigration Service provided conflicting documents, and
failed to follow due process in its recruitment.
A document showed that 2,005 people were employed in 2011,
with another putting the figure at 2,550. Both documents, however,
did not record the qualifications of the new employees. What?!!!!
The House committee was shocked when Secretary to the Board of
Civil Defence, Fire, Immigration and Prison Service Board, Sylvanus
Tapgun, the body responsible for recruitment into those agencies, said
he did not know the bank account number into which the revenue
generated from the sale of application forms was lodged. Story!!!
He was also unable to tell the committee the firm handling the
collection of the forms, and faled too to give the number of forms
sold. Sharp guy!!!
Tapgun also claimed to be unaware of the House Representatives’
resolution urging the NIS to stop collecting fees for the employment
forms.
“I did not place the advertisement; it was done by my predecessor. I
don’t know the account number. I resumed office on September 18,
2013. I read the minutes of the last meeting of the board in August
and it was not about recruitment but promotion in Immigration and
Prison Services,” he said.
So this is how these Federal government agencies extort money from
job seekers. Even as they already have comfortable jobs, they're still
not satisfied. Maybe extorting 1000 Naira from every job seeker in
Nigeria will give them a lifetime satisfaction.
I just hope this won't end here. I urge the Federal House of Reps to
follow it up.
Naija! Everyone wants to make more money at all cost. Even if it
means starving the poor, poisoning the orphans, committing murder,
extorting money from job seekers, whatever it is, just to get richer
and richer and richer and richer.
