Business / Bank Locks Up Debtor by flexxzzy(m): 10:43am On May 08, 2013
A Petty trader, Mrs. Rose Abbey got what she didn’t bargain for when she was allegedly detained in a Micro Finance Bank at Ipaja area of Lagos, for failing to pay a weekly N2,000 earlier agreed on towards offsetting the N17,000 loan she borrowed from the bank.
It was alleged that she was abducted and beaten up before she was locked upin a room at the bank located at 170/ 172, Ipaja Road Baruwa on April 25. Shewas, however, released three days later.

Before then, she was allegedly neither allowed to have access to members of her family nor given food.
The housewife who hails from Edo state laterregained her freedom, after her friend paid the N2,000 to the bank.

Narrating her ordeal the victim told Crime Alert that she borrowed N17,000 from the bank to run her small scale business at Gowon Estate and the condition was that she will be paying back N2,000 every week. She said she has been paying the money until the 25 of April, when she was unable to pay because of poor sales.
“When the manager of the bank confronted me about the payment, I told her that I could not meet up with the payment for the week because of poor sales. She insisted that I must pay the money and dragged me to their office and locked me up along with another defaulter till the third day.

Princeojua: Whizkid with all due respect, I have this to say. Why are you so pompus? I know you bought this Car out of pride. But, congrate anyway. Learn from your mentor Banky W and you will go far. Why can't you buy Houses? A car is a liability. You see why i like 2face? He is calculative/wise. As big as 2face is, he own just Three cars, same with your boss. But as of you, this is the number seven car. I love Davido, Olamide, May D, Yung6ix, Dammy krane, Skales etc. But, I hate you. Yet you're better than them why? Ask 80% guys why there hate you.

@Op
I don't subscribe to asking for money from a guy. However, a married woman told me that a stingy partner could be a huge problem in marriage.
When you love someone, it comes naturally to get them stuff and help out if need be.
When I was leaving my state to start working somewhere else, my unit in church credited me, arguing that they wanted to help in their own little way before I find my feet in my job.
Did I ask for the money? No!
But they did it out of love. That is how people who care about others act.

Same with my relationships. If I like seeing my man in khaki shorts and he doesn't have one, I don't ask him to buy, I get one for him. And when he sees a purse I'd like, he gets it for me.

I don't see a boyfriend as someone to pick up the tabs of my expenses.
And I thank God for that mentality because when I broke up with my ex, he forcefully sent me a large sum of money, saying I deserved it.

Months later, he called me and told me he wanted the money back. The money was a trap, meant to humiliate me and make me beg that I had spent it. And I was a student, with no means of income.

Guess what? The money was the way he sent it untouched and I sent it back promptly.
Guess who was embarassed? Guess who ended up begging and pleading?cheesygrin

As a woman, nothing like making your own dough jare. I cant explain the feeling the first time I got my salary alert. Salary for work that I did with my own hands.
He he he!!

Now dats a girl worth spending on...wink

You ladies should stop having this mentality that your boyfriend's love is proportional to the way he spends on you.
His responsibility as a man is NOT JUST FINANCIAL(though that is a vital part) but
*MORALLY: He should be there to guide you in your actions, not like a baby but like a standby senior bro)smiley
*SOCIALLY: He shouldn't just be ur BOYFRIEND he should also be your BEST BOY FRIEND and BEST FRIEND... relationships are just deeper friendships... You must communicate as friends not just demand lyk lovers
*SPIRITUALLY: He should be there to back u up spiritually, life is spiritual and if it has to be successful, must be handled from the spirit
*SENSUALLY: We all know women have need and to be sincere crave for sensual satisfaction(so why should one pay you to help you?, besides that classifies you as a sl*t), its his duty to be there during d heat period(if u knw wat i mean)wink
*MENTALLY: there is nufin encouraging than having a bf dat's mentally sharp, gosh trust me, i hav heard ladies stress this part. Ladies tend to reason wif their emotions and as such tend to be biased certain times, this is where he comes to play
*EMOTIONALLY: We all know that women are the most emotional creatures on earth and He's role is to give you that emotional support.

The list goes on and on... And remember "relationships are bi-directional(it goes both ways)... So also it means that these roles are also roles a woman should play on her man.

For your question "when is the ryt tym to start spending on your girl"- my answer is when it is IMPORTANT and URGENT not NECESSARY... Be independent and not a liability.. Women stress on gender equality yet dont want to handle responsibilities equally(haha, how ironic)

anyway, this jux ma lil contribution.. Hope it helps

Ricky_Ross:

This MTN promo is 100% scam. How come nobody sabi this girl? I have many friends and family member's in UNIPORT, none of them sabi this strange girl with strange name.
Well I don't blame MTN, I blame Nigerians. Dont be surprised most of the animals trash talking MTN are all using MTN sim cards. How can you come to the internet and call MTN fraud when you are supporting their fraud by patronizing them?

Nigerians are gullible people, from the way everyone is complaining, it seems most of you were actually buying plenty recharge cards so you can win an aeroplane?

If you consider MTN as fraud and greedy network, then stop using their network. I stopped using MTN long time ago, so you dont see me complaining about MTN. Left for me that network will rot away. Anything from South Africa is rip off. Check out DSTV. I repeat, instead of complaining about MTN all the time, if you hate MTN so much please break your MTN simcard.
guy you just said wats on my mind... The recent one is this their *888* recharge style.. MTN r just too annoying
