I keep looking at Nigerian designed websites and I must say though the standards have greatly improved over the years they are still a bit lacking when compared with international websites. It seems Nigerian designed sites tend to make use of heavy animations such as flash which tends to slow bandwidth. This is quite funny especially since the intended audience is people accessing from Nigeria where internet access is notoriously slow.

Factors such as

Usability
simplicity
practicality

are not really considered , it seems to be a case of just load the website with asmuch graphics as possible without thinking of your intended audience,
