Politics / Re: Protest: Organisers Reject IGP’s Proposal For Confined Protest by flokii: 8:00pm On Jul 30
IGP is trying to be reasonble with unreasonable people.. this Adegboruwa was part of those peddlling lies about massacre at Lekki tollgate, despite no proof or evidence.

I said it back then that failure to prosecute these guys for the attack on Lagos will give them boldness to organize another attack on Lagos.

The first attack was to discredit Asiwaju and ruin his chances of becoming President, this second one is to wreck havoc in an attempt to force him out of office.. Do the maths and see the level of carnage and destruction these destructive people are planning.

Just watch and see.. they will jump inside night bus from Abia, Anambra and likes, heading to Lagos for protest on August 1.
Now that Yorubas have issued warning against the protest, they'll be forced to think twice and abort mission.

Yoruba ronu..

Why are we building infrastructure if we'd allow "never-do-wells" hiding under guise of protest to burn everything down.
They don't want Lagos to progress.. that's just the sincere explanation.

Nah.. sensible Igbo men in Abia should join the protest against dying wage of 18k Alex Otti is paying to Abia workers.
How do they even cope in this present day and time?.

They aren't hiding it.. every discerning mind knows that the sore losers in the last presidential elections are the sponsors of 'End bad governance'.
A genuine protest will face the non-performing States and their Governors e.g. Abia, Delta etc. before facing the centre.

Since they failed at the polls, they want to attempt back door route to the Presidency but will still fail.

You know when a woman is in labour and the child is about to come out? That's the mood. Something new is about to be born. That's the feeling, but it has a price (the pain).

Nothing is about to be born.. stay away from Lagos and other SW cities.

Go to Abia and vent your anger against Otti that's paying 18k minimum wage, still owing over 11 months pensions.

Yorubas are fully prepared for any sponsored attack on Lagos State.. there won't be a repeat of EndSars destructions in Lagos.

The North want South to do only 4 years so they can jump back to power and ruin the country completely.. they're in for a rude shock. No Northerner will get 1% of votes in the entire South in 2027, let's see how they'll get national spread to install themselves back in power.

If Nigerians don't have a change of heart and desist from evil practices, life will become unbearable for everybody in 5-10yrs from now.. whether or not Tinubu is the one in office.
Creating artificial scarcity, causing inflation, FX racketeering, money laundering etc. In order to become wealthy won't do us any good on the long run.

If Dangote is to buy our crude oil in naira, then he has to sell the products from his refinery back to us in same currency which is naira..

PBAT should be careful with all these policies he is rolling out.. selling crude oil to refineries in naira should come with a clause that the refineries too must sell back their refined petroleum products to Nigeria in naira else we'd be operating at a huge loss and our economy willl collapse completely.
All these ol0dos wey una dey carry as SA wey no sabi anything. We dey watch na.
Politics / Re: Southern Nigerians Warn Against Protests Targeting President Tinubu's Administra by flokii: 11:13am On Jul 30
A welcome development.. Issue warning to those Northerners who are playing destrictive politics. Most of the States Governors of 19 Northern States don't stay in their States to deliver good governance, they are all residing in Abuja, coupled with the non-functional LGAs in most States across Nigeria.

The South should use one voice to call their bluff.. let the Northern States Governors go back to their States to cater for the welfare of their people. even the suya sellers want o blame FG for bad leadership in their States.

The poster is a big fo0l.. if atal he is educated and not concerned about destructions and carnage targeted at Lagos State, then he is a bastard.

To destroy is very easy but to build takes time.. You don't need a PhD to understand this simple fact.

The country is struggling, people are managing to survive, yet some "never-do-wells" want to hide under protest to be destroying properties of hardworking Nigerians in Lagos State. Please let me ask you, after protest or rage or carnage or whatever, who'll pay for damages done to families and innocent people, or who will create jobs for those that'll lose their source of livelihood?.
The UK jailed protesters 4 years for blocking roads, whereas in Lagos State, some ho0dlums went to block tollgate at Lekki, thinking they have right to be lawless.
We say.. NEVER AGAIN.

If you are not comfortable or happy in Lagos, fvcking pack your belongings and relocate to your States of Origin.

Then tell your boss PBAT to sign South West Development Commission Bill into law so we can build our region alongside others.. failure to do that will make me forever regret supporting the man.

I have been to all the South Western State Capitals and I can tell you for a fact that we still have a very long way to go.. unlike NDDC that Niger Delta politicians are using to embezzle money, I have the conviction that SWDC will contribute meaningfully to the development of South West region.

We are naturally peaceful with mindset of progress.. all we need is to have that enabler to turn fortunes of the South West around for the better.
I was at the Osun-Osogbo festival venue, visited many historical sites in Yorubaland and I felt bad due to the neglect I witnessed. We need to develop our cities abeg.

tungamaje:
I took my time to read the very long piece. Now I am satisfied and comforted that there still learned and intelligent Yorubas who are ready to say the truth the way it should be. As an Igbo, I would henceforth desist from condemning every Yoruba because earlier I was wondering why all of them just turned tribalistic to vilify and attack innocent Igbos despite the fact that northerners and some Yorubas were planning a protest which Igbos exempted themselves from. Instead of facing the northerners, all of them started to attack Igbos.

The OP is not a true Yoruba..

See let me educate you on why Yorubas won't ever trust Igbos.. during EndSars protests, Igbos in the North hid inside their homes, didn't go out to burn properties in Kaduna, Kano or Katsina whereas the ones in Lagos entered Streets to start burnings BRT buses, buildings, state-of-the-art facilities etc., acting on orders of Kanu, Mefor etc. all Igbo men issuing orders to IP0bs to burn down everything in Lagos and burn Yoruba properties.
Had it been you're a Yoruba, you'd know how painful such brazen confrontation was..

Our people have spoken.. no Igbos should be seen proetsting on the Streets of Lagos. Let everyone go back to their home region to protest.

Stage is set for showdown with arsonists and criminals parading themselves as protesters..

In the wordings of those traditionalists, they are praying for death on any outsider coming to protest and destroy properties on their soil.

Nigerians don’t need to stand up for any protest that will only lead to chaos and destruction. Tribalism is not the problem; it's the leaders who refuse to do their jobs. These calls for protest are just a cover for thieves to loot and vandalize. Save Nigeria by holding leaders accountable, not by creating more unrest!

Exactly!

Let all the three tiers of Government (LGAs, State and FG) funtion separately and see if the masses won't see changes.
The protest has political undertone and part of what they want is to cause chaos, topple the Government of the day or invite Military to seize power. This is the pure truth.

Go and save your region first, before you can save Nigeria.

Hausas should save their region.

Yorubas should save their region.

Let Igbos too go back to their region and save it.

That we are one nation doesn't mean we should be stupid. An Abia person must not be allowed to protest and destroy properties of Yorubas in Lagos when Abia State is in a mess. That's fo0lishness on our own part.

How will Igbos that claim not to be part of the protest troop out in Lagos to be forming rage to end bad governance?.. Iru ogbon jibiti wo niyen??

Go to your home region for protest.. You living in another region is a priviledge that should not be abused.

One lesson I've learnt in life over the years is that---"no matter where you are today, tomorrow is certainly gonna be a better day so long you don't give up on yourself today"

Kudos to her for not giving in........A true banny indeed who has got brains....I celebrate her..

Next time add 'ceteris paribus' to your first paragraph.. i.e. all things being equal.
