hello,

Please assist me interpret this dream.
I was in a place where i saw my classmates, currently i am running my graduate program.
Then i saw that a warehouse in the school was on fore and within minutes it was put off with water and cleaned properly and tidy.
They informed me i was the cause of the fire and i looked at them with surprise like how?
i was also informed that i have an award but it has broken . then i looked at the broken award like this is my first award but oh well i can reframe it.
Then i met somebody who told myself and some people that we should apply for a position or so, in a reputable firm and i was agitated to start application, then i woke up.

See I was a silent reader here and started reading this forum from page one and made screen shots (it wasn't easy but worth it) when I came across very important information. There are somethings you really need to do yourself really. Then come back to ask questions. To God be the glory I'm schooling now.

Hello dear,

Watch how you speak really

My experience wasn't pleasant and I won't say otherwise

Try not to be too agitated or better still don't reply every comment you see

Just so you know,

Greyhound is not "terrible"! they have been in business for over 100years. They give you "value" for the amount you paid.

It is stupidity for a traveller to think they will get "cheaper" airline tickets when they arrive. How in the world do people plan their trips like that?

Its not winter yet I would have told you to take some pictures in the snow in front of McDonald's and post on your SM platforms. Your people back home will be waiting grin

Since you did not bring some egusi and dry fish, its a pretty nice Sunday grab some cheeseburger from a decent restaurant tell them to hold the pickle a side of freshly cut home fries and appetizer will be nachos with some cold water with lemon ( you need it)

Dont forget to tell them its your first night in the States and see the reception that follows your "peaceful" and not "pieces" arrival grin

Welcome to the United States of America grin

TRAVEL AND POE EXEPRIENCE

My flight was for 6:25am using air maroc.got there 2am and met a baba who adviced to wrap my boxes with cellotape and weigh. He helped but at a price(if you can wrap and weigh at home better for you, this will help save cost and Wahala. Dunno if it applies for every airline.

15mins later,we were asked to queue and check in.i didn't stay for long cos I came pretty early. The air maroc representative informs me I have excess luggage , something I checked but he insisted, I left to offload.you are allowed to check in two luggages 23kg each and one carry on 10kg. When I got back the guy was cold to me,I was indifferent as another baba that unwrapped, reweighed and rewrapped my luggage with another price informed me that, they have a way of adjusting the scale so you tip them (note:come early and excess luggage costs N56000).

My air maroc experience wasn't pleasant especially the seats very uncomfortable and food but I'm grateful for them been cheap and taking me to my destination in one peace. The 11hrs layover in morroco wasn't bad. We were taken to a lounge with mini beds and given lunch (I know people would say you paid for it, in Nigeria kolewerk)

Landed newyork and when I saw my luggage, I almost cried. I used those plastic boxes and it was all broken.

POE, the guy in the box tells me to pass my passport and i20 and I did. Then he asked me if I brought in perishables and I replied no. He asked me to place my hand for thumb print and took a snap shot of me.then he told me have a wonderful stay.

I didn't book connecting flight to Houston from newyork (I didn't cos eventuality of delayed flight) when I went their local airlines almost $700 dollars. I varnished!!!!!

I took a taxi to grey hound $60 plus tax then , I got my ticket to Houston $245+$15 for second luggage cos first luggage is free.

Their bus system is terrible o! Depending on how many cities you go through , you keep stopping and transferring to a new bus, with delays and confusing schedule.(ask questions o if you would use the bus or better still don't! Except if your trip is for 6hrs or a day max.

Bottom line I am grateful to everyone, your helpful comment and @textrem for encouraging me. That what people need really.

Please we are loosing the discipline we do have onthis forum o. Is it just me been to sensitive. To be honest if that's how I met this forum, I wouldn't have been informed, enlightened and encouraged by people's feedbacks

Thank you all once again ,another phase begins

Hello,

Edakun!!

This thread is beginning to look like Linda ikeji's blog

Some individuals have decided to be too sensitive, some insensitive. Then we see situations where people go back and forth with words

Please let us all focus on the purpose of this thread so people can learn and give information

That's too harsh friend. That he made that request does not mean he can't fund his trip. Housing arrangements can be difficult sometimes to make when you are not on ground. And who said that 'accommodate' always means free hosting?[/quote]

Hello

My friend booked a flight from Lagos to JFK using wakanow

She saw on their website around 3:00am today Lagos to JFK N380,575 but didn't make payments immediately.

She decided tomake pay This morning, but realised fares increased to N429,000

She called their customer care to inform them of the new development and she was given a feedback exchange rate went high, she Told the agent she won't go ahead with the payment.

As she was giving me a feedback, she got a call from wakanow that the offer of N380,757 is available and she should make payments immediately not to miss the offer.

She informed the agent how would she make payments because if she goes to their website, she would be paying N429,000 using her master card

The agent informed her that, he would send their account number via email and she should specify the bank that's convenient for her which she did

She received a mail on payment details immediately . she called back to reconfirm the account name as the name on the mail stated WAKANOW.LIMITED and her mobile app populated COLLECTION WAKANOW.LIMITED. They assured her it was valid

She made payments and within 30mins she got her receipt, details of her flight via mail.

Hope this helps........

Maybe cos you didn't garri foodstuffs and they are like are we sure he is a student??

quote author=mjksho post=59143162]As I promised earlier that I will share my travel experience with you all so someone may learn One or two things, I will start that today and it should run for a day or two.

Let's not waste anymore time and get into it.

Took Uber to the airport in Lagos. Easy stuff. They have done a lot of work at reducing the crowd at departure section of MMIA, so your bags go through the X-ray machine at the main entrance and then to the NDLEA and Immigration desk at the same entrance.

I wasn't carrying any foodstuff so the search was less than 30 seconds. They didn't ask for money too. And then I went straight to the airline counter. No further search was done here as used to be the case some years ago. So good job to them on that.

On Egypt Air flight to the US, you have to put your laptop in the check-in bag. Toothpaste and perfumes too. Baggage drop off is fast too. I spent less than 10mins for everything. I had checked-in online and chosen a window seat too.

Boarding started at 12:15pm. The aircraft was a small Boeing 737-800 on the Lagos-Cairo route.

So boarding at MMIA was good. They asked me for tips though, a couple of NAHCO guys and immigration. But it's all good sha. To dispose my naira sef dey itch me for body.

PS: For those saying POE is no big deal, well I got taken for secondary screening where I was further drilled. I think someone was deported on our flight. I will share with you all the details. But if you are legit, you should not be afraid of a secondary screening.

Local flights in the US very strange

You wee pay for flights normally

Pay for the seat you wee seat on separately

Still pay for you checked in bags and if too much you pay additional fee

Are you sure there is no payment for walking around the airport or breathing the air?

Or is it advisable to book my flight when I get to JFK

Good day,

Please assist me

First dream

I dreamt that I was infront of a car that would take me to a destination and I noticed people were rushing into the car and my colleague was like won't you enter it's going to the direction and I just stood and for some reason wasn't motivated to move and kept starting at the car and everyone

Second dream

I dreamt that I was to collect something from customs and I was to et to a point and wait for customs to give me the stuff, I was waiting somewhere when I woke up

Third dream

I dreamt that I was to travel and my dad was to drop me off at the airport. I was in a house with two of my cousins, they saw me dragging my box and didn't know where I was headed and I didn't disclose to them. When I was dragging my box, I looked at the time and I was leaving 11:45 or so and it was in black and white. My dad told me, it's not time that your flight is for 2:am and when I looked at my wrist watch, 2:00am had light ,it was coloured

Fourth dream

I dreamt that I was in a house I stayed and the back had two door . I opened it and saw a strange animal at the back, I quickly shot the door to prrevent them from coming in. Someone went to open the door and I quickly screamed for the door to be shut. Then I saw my friend and she handed me her baby cos in real life she just gave birth. I carried her baby and it was like the. Any was trying to tell me something and I woke up.

All the best and thank God for safe trip

Let me confirm, your saying laptops are not allowed at all?

quote author=shayhune post=59062136]I really do wonder why some people magnify POE experience like it's another visa interview. As long as you're a genuine student and not planning to run way, you have nothing to fear.
I got to JFK yesterday. Joined the queue. I was so stressed out considering the heavy load I carried and the lesser layover time we had at Casablanca which was as a result of a 2hr delay in departure from Lagos. The queue was also very long and the CBPs were quite slow.

CBP: Is this your first time here?
Me: Yes
CBP: How long do you intend to stay here?
Me: 2yrs
CBP: Why do you intend to stay that long?
Me: "I was so tired that I just said rubbish". I'm going to study Masters programme which is for 2yrs. (who studies masters prog grin)
CBP: can I have your sevis?
Me: I thought he was referring to my sevis payment receipt. Gave it to him.
CBP: No. Your sevis?
Me: Now, I knew he was referring to my i20. Passed it to him.
He checked it and asked me to place my fingers for scanning and that was all. My passport was stamped. Wasn't up to a minute or two sef.

Also, the officers checking luggages simply asked me what I had in my box and i told them. I had already declared the important things like Egusi, Crayfish, Garri etc on the form. My luggages were not checked. I just walked outa there like it wasn't a big deal.

Also, I made use of the NYCAirporter (all thanks to Lagosismyhome's info) from JFK to Laguardia airport and it was hassle free and very comfortable. I made the payment in Naija before leaving($16). By the way, I'm heading to Ohio and I came in through JFK which isn't a big deal. I wonder why people just create unnecessary panic about such instances.

One more thing, if you are going with Royal Air Maroc, you're now allowed to carry your laptops with you in your carry on bags. Don't bother putting it in your checked in baggages. Also, Royal Air Maroc service was okay. The food wasn't top notch though but it was still good.

Visa approved July 17th(to God be the glory)

17th July happened to be my birthday!!!

First timer at US embassy and silent reader.

God bless everyone for your help and insight ,may God enrich you greatly

A guy before me was denied , he sounded so rehearsed and he was shaky even in his tone

Fast forward..

I got interviewed by a young pretty lady windows 8

VO; Goodmorning

Me: Goodmorning

VO: how are you?(with a pleasant smile)

Me: I am great you?(smiling) And vo replied.

VO: please pass me your i20 and passport

Me: here please

VO: why are you going to the US

ME: I am going for my studies

VO: course?

Me: Masters In business administration and management

VO; why this school?

VO: did you write any test?

Me; no please, the school informed me when I come over I can write the test before the end of the first semester(cos of my course,it's allowed)

ME: they are one of the best public universities in the state of Texas, their MBA is certified by the body AACSB and their MBA has a minor concentration in MIS(management Informations Systems)

VO;how many schools did you apply to

Me: three schools and I listed them

(all this while she kept smiling and looking at me as I responded and I looked calm, relaxed and spoke calmly even when my heart was racing)

VO: when did you graduate

Me: 2013

VO:what iv you been doing since then

Me: I completed the compulsory NYSC programme then got a job in **** bank as a customer service personnel....(VO cuts in)

VO:Have you travelled out before

Me: yes please, I travelled to Dubai for vacation 2014

VO: Why did you choose to study MBA?

Me: The knowledge and skill I will obtain, I will apply it to my career goal in the banking industry in Nigeria

VO; she pauses, looks at me while my eye balls were fixed on her. She was quiet for a while and asked me, why are you perculiar about MIS.

That put me off cos I didn't expect it(my luck was my job role, we work hand in hand with MIS team and I genuinely have interest in MIS)

Me: I have interest in MIS because business has gone beyond buying and selling and recording sales, we can now use computers to support and make managerial decisions.

VO: smiles and says I will be approving your visa

Me: smiling and didn't hear anything afterwards(that thing is true oooo, you won't hear anything again)

Slight tips:

Be as calm as possible, it's not easy but imagine you are speaking to your sibling and dress very well and smartly, look the part. I might sound like I'm over exaggerating the VO kept starring at my outfit, weavon, and my wristwatch(not bragging) just look the part

Pray to God aggressively and fast very necessary. It can only be God oooo!!!

VO did not ask for single document

THANKS ONCE AGAIN
