Travel / Re: Nigerians In Oslo, Norway by forzaDiya(m): 4:31pm On Apr 01, 2019
Goodevening.

I want to apply for an undergraduate admission. Which school in Norway can I apply to? What are my chances?

Thanks.

olujastro:

There are several factors to consider:

Visa: Your chance of getting a US study visa should be around 50% while you stand a 90% chance of getting a Norwegian study visa once you submit the required documents. No interview required. Simply submit and go home.
So if you don't want this year to elude your study aspirations, go with Norway.

Funding: If funding isn't an issue for you at all, then US is your better option for obvious reasons.

Stay back: Norway allows you a year on Job seekers visa to find a job, however you have to show them N10m of your money or an equivalent work contract to get the visa.

Jobs: It's not as before oil prices crashed but jobs are gradually picking up in Norway due to oil prices recovery. Experienced positions are booming again while graduate jobs are gradually showing up. However Norwegians and EU are apparent favorites for entry level jobs at the moment.
But several other non EUs including Nigerian have been lucky to get jobs after graduation last year.

My advice: Try and gather all required documents for Norway. Then if it's possible, try your luck with the US visa first. If you don't succeed at the interview, immediately apply for the Norwegian study permit towards the end of May. Norwegian Immigration commences processing study visas in June.

Lastly, ask your questions here so that other Nigerians can benefit while reading through.
Car Talk / Re: Please Help!!! My Nissan Maxima Gear Is Not Working Properly by forzaDiya(m): 11:38pm On Jan 03, 2019
Update!!!

I took it to the mechanic today and after the guy did some servicing on it, the gear was selecting. But, takes longer to select and only gets to gear 1 and 2,...not reaching 3.

The mechanic said he will work on it tomorrow.

Costee:
1. Use Nissan Matic D ATF or a good Dexron III alternative (not Holts)
2. Check the control cable for proper adjustment
3. Run a scan on the TCM
4. The Rev Sensor is a likely culprit, or maybe the valve body with clogged shift solenoids
5. Feedback

Okay. Thanks so much. I will check it.
EkoErrands:

You probably have the wrong brain box installed. Or the gear selector switch cable is not plugged in...check well.

Goodevening everyone.

Please guys, I really need your help. Its very urgent.

There is this Nissan maxima 2001 model my brother gave to me. He has parked it down for almost 2 years.

So, last week...I decided to repair the car because I want to use it next year. We had to tow it to the mechanic workshop. We started working on it. Changed the brain box, the fuel pump, bought new battery, new tyres etc.

After everything, it came back to life. Nice sound. Everything seems to be alright. Then the re-wire drove it around, though, I was with him. We discovered that the gear (automatic transmission) wasn't selecting.

It works on reverse (R) , on drive (D) and on Park (P). But the gear isn't selecting (like change from 1-2).

The re-wire said we need to change the gear oil. We flushed the gear oil that was there and bought a new gear oil. We bought 8L of Holts gear oil. The gear consumed everything before it could guaged.

After changing the gear oil, we then tested the car. It was still the same problem. The gear wasn't selecting. Sometimes, it will act like it wants to select, but nope.

Please guys, what do think I should do? Please!

Thanks.

Education / Re: National Open University Of Nigeria (NOUN) Students by forzaDiya(m): 11:22am On Nov 09, 2018
Goodmorning to everyone. I want to apply for admission at NOUN. Is it possible for me to cross to another department in 200L?

The reason why is that I want to study Political Science/ International Relations. But my O/L result is fully science subject. So, I'm thinking I should apply for Economics now then sit for the coming GCE and as soon as I have Credit in Government, I can cross to either Political Science or International Relations.

Hello.

Pls, I have two questions.

1. What kind of goods can I buy with #500k from CIV to sell in Nigeria and make good profits?

2. If a family of 4 wants to relocate to CIV from Nigeria, like how much do you think will be enough for them to have a good house (moderate) and start up a small business over there?
