"Specifically, Nigeria’s transport inflation slowed to 27.04% in October 2023 from its two-year high of 27.18% recorded in the previous month."

This doesn't call for celebration, a horrible situation just became 0.13% less horrible.

Peter Obi won the election

We saw how INEC reneged on its promise to electronically transmit the results, we saw the violence and voter suppression on election day.

We saw the show of shame in the election tribunal.

We won the election.

Jogs1900:

This record is for local flights.Aminu kano is an international airport while owerri is not

Stop messing around!
Is economic viability only achieved with international flight?

The reverse is even the case, with international flights, money is leaving the country as per foreign airlines, and those passengers are likely japa'ing, so no return ticket.

It is local flights that fetches the Airports more money, and Owerri is clearly more viable than Kano.
But tribalism will not allow the APC man admit it.

Big head wey big like my own.

when a hammer is all what you have, everything will look like a nail.

The inflation, Nigeria is suffering from transcends an excess of money supply, it mainly involves the drop in production, manufacturing and agriculture.
Farmers cannot farm in peace, the economy is suffocating SME, FX is showing manufacturers shege.

You can bamboozle the electorate with this kind of propaganda, but not the market.

The market can see through BS.

Make deliberate positive changes to the economy, just because a policy chokes the common man does not make that policy a good policy.

How many things were African countries exporting to Nigeria when naira was stronger than CFA? No allow those morons confuse you bro. No need for argument

You have it mixed up.

a weak currency is favourable to a country that exports a lot of finished products like China, that deliberately weakens her yuan.

But for a heavily import dependent country like Nigeria, a weakening currency is doom and gloom, the effects of imported products becoming more expensive will plunge more people into poverty. This inflation will overwhelm the benefit of exports becoming more attractive to foreign buyers.

A weakened currency makes exports attractive, however a country must have the infrastructure and capacity to produce suitable exports in the first place.
A weakened Naira will not make cheap steady power, good transportation systems and infrastructure needed for production to materialize out of thin air.

There is no point having a strong currency when you are not producing for exports. Nigeria is taking over their markets with cheaper goods than the ones they import from France. The worst hit will be our immediate neighbor's
