Sorry this reply was delayed. With regards to funds for support of your dependants the total amount is supposed to be in your account for 90days at least (if I remember correctly) so whatever money that comes on top of that doesn't really need an explanation. With regards to a format if you want to attach one it's just explaining money coming into ur account based on the statement u are presenting.
brideofchukky:

Hi @francois10
I have a similar issue with regards to money movement in my account. For instance, in November and January, there were times when I moved money from one of my accounts to the one I plan to present for my T2 dependant application and some funds also came from my hubby. Amount was between 100-300k at different times.
I have been told I don't need to explain it considering it is a point based system, but I just want to know if anyone has been in my shoes before and how it affected their application.

Going forward, if I need to attach an explanation, can someone please share a format? Thanks.

Duly noted but That is why a link was attached, ( it states clearly on it who needs a police certificate. )So that the OP can read and make decisions based on that.

nomad26:
This is not totally correct, you only need police certificate IF your job requires you to work with vulnerable people. I did not include police certificate for my tier 2 visa application. I suggest you do more research before potentially wasting your money.

Travel / Re: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 3 by Francois10(m): 8:29am On May 29, 2018
That's not exactly the case, thousands of certificates of sponsorship across all skill classes were rejected between December 2017 and April 2018 NOT visas. ( certificate of sponsorship is needed to apply for tier 2 visa)
Phenmeson:

We all know that UK visa is like a gamble. Most people apply but few are granted. UK are short of Doctors & Nurses. Thousands applied for the post, they met the requirements but most of them are denied the Visa despite the fact that the NHS in England has nearly 100,000 jobs unfilled in the Health sector

Please what is the BRP number? I'm about to apply for a tier2 visa. and as a nurse with an A Rated Sponsor giving me COS, do I still need maintenance funds up to £945?! money matter o. thanks for the help
BRP no is ur resident permit no which u will get when you get ur brp. With regards to maintenance funds cos is not enough....ur sponsor must tick in the space that they are providing maintenance for you. If they don't do that u will need to provide evidence of adequate funds on ur own.

Phenmeson:

You can travel with your hubby only if you meet the financial requirement because living as a couple requires at least a studio flat £1000 bills inclusive and the government doesn't want you to depend on any public funds.
I appreciate if you can share more on how yu get COS because i also wish to apply for my Uncle.
Am happy to help you on any UK information

Tier 2 visa is skilled workers immigrating to the UK only an A rated employer can issue u a certificate of sponsorship to make that application. It's not individual based.

Good day @francois10, @justwise and other gurus in the house

I already have an employer with a job offer, expecting my COS, anytime from now.
My questions;
Will it be possible to travel with my hubby cos i know someone who travelled recently on same visa type, who didnt travel with their spouse after laying emphasis on travelling together (she wouldnt tell me why),
Does the issue of money lodgement apply in tier2 visas,
Is there anything we can do to boost our chances?
Thanks as i await your responses

In your application for a tier 2 visa u will have to show u have enough funds to support yrself and ur dependents if any.(if your sponsor is not providing such funds). If u are able to show these funds and ur visa is approved. U can travel with ur dependants on the same day or seperately as u prefer. But remember that the day u fill in as ur travel date in the application plays a role in the issuance of ur BRP and I think there is a penalty if you don't collect it within a certain period.
On the issue of money lodgement the funds need to be in yr account for a minimum of 90 days before ur application as stated here https://www.gov.uk/tier-2-general/eligibility

Salary of at least £30,000 with exception of pre-registration nurses, midwives, medical radiographers and secondary school teachers

Thank you for the correction
"You’ll usually need to be paid at least £30,000 per year or the ‘appropriate rate’ for the job you’re offered - whichever is higher. Check the appropriate rate for the job you’ve been offered.

Check the guidance for situations when you can be paid less - for example if:

you’ll work as a medical radiographer, nurse, paramedic or secondary school teacher in some subjects
you’ll work as a pre-registration nurse or midwife"
Career / Re: PLAB Pathway For Medical Doctors by Francois10(m): 3:00pm On Nov 22, 2017
The PLAB exam is the medical licencing exam of the UK. It is in 2 parts. Part 1 is an objective test done twice a year in Nigeria and Part 2 is a clinical assessment (Osce) test done only in the UK.

Thank you for this thread.
I learnt police clearance certificate is one of the pre requisite for tier 2 visa application.
Please how do i go about this. I live in benin and am limited by time so please any one with useful information on how to go about this, cost and possibly contact of someone who can help with this in Lagos.
You can find out from police HQ in Benin first to see if you can process it from there( which I think you can). For lagos I think its from force cid alagbon .

@OP, can you also include Tier 1 exceptional talent visa? Not many people know about the Tier 1 exceptional talent route. There are 1000 visas available annually in this category but has never been filled since it started. The government is considering increasing it to 2000 visas in the face of Brexit. It is also more flexible than Tier 2 as you will be free to work for any employer or set up your own company.

In other to prevent misunderstanding of the visa types I will advice you open another thread specific to that. Personally I don't know anything about this visa type

It will be helpful if you can elaborate what Tier2 visa is about and what the requirements are so as to avoid conflict of understanding from other threads already created.

Kindly confirm you were sponsored by a company

The Tier 2 visa is now the main UK immigration route for skilled workers coming to the UK to take up employment, usually paying a salary of at least £30,000. In order to apply for this visa you must have a job offer and a certificate of sponsorship from a UK employer with a valid Tier 2 sponsorship licence.
