Please somebody tell me where is the hope for our youths. Our President is out of the vountry for 101days. All we could do is to collect #1,000 and drum support for him. The Nigerian youths are death. There is no hope for Nigeria. She is doom.

PMB, congratulations on your 100days overseas in a medical institution. We Nigerians that cannot afford medical here in Nigeria were told to pray for you. I pray you send the private jet back to Nigeria. Congratulations once again for 100days Overseas.
Politics / Re: Terrible State Of A Road In Owodokpokpo Delta Community With 26 Oils Wells by franfumu(f): 9:00pm On Aug 13, 2017
Niger Delta is seriously damage and less develop. In few years from now when internal combustion engines will phase out, crude oil will be as cheap as water. Then, there will be no more hope to develop the Niger Delta. The people of Niger Delta should realise this and demand for 100% resource control. I hope it is not too late.

Their children school abroad while our Univerties are shitholes

They go for medical checkup abroad on regularly basis while hospitals in the country is a certified dead centres.

They go on vacation abroad with our collective treasure that was looted while the masses continue to live in hardship and hunger.

Our roads are dead traps while these polithiefcians shuttle between states in private jets and helicopters.

PHCN continue to leave Nigerians in perpetual darkness while our leaders with the help of looted funds live like Kings in their mansions with constant power.

They romance us during election period and some of us are foolish that we sell our votes over peanut and even when we chose wisely, elections still get rigged.

Our challenges are just too many and I just hope the country will get better someday.

REVOLUTION is what you need not hope. Doing the same thing over n over again n expecting a different result is the definition of insanity..ALBERT EINSTEIN.
We need a different route if we desire a better n properous country.YOUTH WAKE UP. OUR MUMU DON DO.
Politics / Re: Why I Lost $39 Million Rivers Fund To Fraudsters – Amaechi by franfumu(f): 12:15pm On Aug 05, 2017
This is one of the reasons NNAMDI KANU called this country a zoo. There is nothing good about these old fools in power. THEY ARE ALL CRIMINALS. They make the country look like a ZOO. Amaechi, Fashola, Lying Mohammed, Audu Ogbeh and the rest of them are currently filling up their pockets right now.
Politics / Re: "President Buhari Is Sick, Fayose Is A Mad Man" – Oshiomhole by franfumu(f): 5:07pm On Jul 30, 2017
mansakhalifa:
Mr Oshiomhole telling us that the president is sick is like telling us that the sun is shining when we can actually see that it is. That question has actually been answered for us. What we want to know is what the nature of the ailment or malady is and why the APC,despite coming to power riding on a mantra of change and a departure from the norm, has deemed it fit to fly the president to the UK for treatment when we have hospitals here in Nigeria that can handle his health situation if properly equipped. Those are the things we are begging to know. Don't just say "he is sick".
Well said..This man is a compound fool. A curseto this country. How dare you open your mouth to say Buhari is sick only. All Nigerians are aware of that. So you cannot tell Nigerians if it is cancer or hepatitis or any specific name but you consider yourself worthy to be entrusted with trillions of naira. Pathetic.

Must you insult when you disagree with someone?

How many people can that plane carry? How much weight in cargo can it carry? Go and research about the plane and see if it is a commercial plane or there is hope to power commercial plane with solar in the near future. That the country is far behind doesn't mean we her citizens are clueless about technological advances.

Of course, there are other ways of powering planes that are being investigated. However, to be viable, the fuel must have low weight, be energy dense and safe to handle. Researchers are looking into ways of using renewable energy sources like solar to power the creation of liquid fuel that meet the above criteria. If they succeed, Nigeria is bleeped. Well, we are bleeped already because other forms of transport will not use petroleum fuel in near future (less than 5 years).

He''s not disagreeing with the fellow, he's educating him. Clearly, the guy did not know that plane can fly on solar power alone. Speaking on your questions, you don't ask those questions at the beginning of a breakthrough research. Gradually, this solar plane will carry as much people, cargo weight and can be used commercially. Your question reminds me of the man who said metal cannot fly in air before the invention of planes.

She was the minister for education without any achiement in the educational sector, sendinging her son abroad to study while our educational sector is in comatose.. Yet she rants as if she loves Nigeria more than everybody.. All of them as criminals as far as I'm concerned.

Very spot on. They are all criminals and unpatriotic fellows. They rant as if they love this country more than anybody. Take statistics of all Presidents, law makers, ministers, Governors and all elected officials, their kids are studying overseas. And we are here abusing ourselves because of them.

After 8 months NDDC have not paid her scholars. How do they want them to survive? NO FOOD, NO ACCOMMODATION, NO COLD CLOTHING, NO SCHOOL FEES, NO WATER, NO PEN, NO BOOK. NDDC MD, Nsima Ekere is an evil man. Can he treat his own children like this.

Please move to fp.

I have no concern with the 400 or so staff who are suing the company...

You're still dodging the main issue which revolves around your first allegation

Prove to the world that a staff left the employment of the company after 15 years of service and got only a pay-off of N500,000 which was not as a result of outstanding debts against him but as a result of willful intent of the company to cheat him.
The guy is already suing baker hughes for it. The document is in the court if you need the prove. And that is why 400 of them have the court cases with baker hughes. They are seeking redress there not through you.

I don't need to have a source to know what happens...I am a finance personnel and I also work for a well structured company so I know the proper procedure for employee disengagement

You on the other hand are ranting based on sentiments and hearsay which is not valid

If you must argue then do so based on verifiable facts and logic

Stop throwing around wild and unsubstantiated 'beer palour' accusations which you cannot defend
Since you claim to know, please educate us, why are 400 Nigerians suing baker Hughes company?

I will not call a random Baker Hughes staff to confirm anything...

I'm particular about the liar who said he/she got paid N500,000 after 15 years service with the company...the person lied so as to get public sympathy

Ask him to present a copy of the Certificate of Discharge which was prepared by the Finance and Accounts department (This document will show a summary of all his entitlements upon disengagement, it will also show a summary of all outstanding loans and advances)

It is the net amount that will be paid to the staff who is disengaging therefore the final amount he/she gets will depend on how much he/she owes the company and banks as the case may be...

I challenge him/her to provide a certified true copy of this document

Please stop making a public exhibit of your ignorance here!
Bottom line is, you don't have a source and fact, so just shut up. There is another ex staff paid off with 1 million naira after 21 years. Does that not sound similar to that of my friend.By the way, are you sympatizing with the foreigners defrauding Nigerians? Do you know the kind of bribe these companies ditch out?

I was not referring to the 200 people that got laid off...

My interest is with the liar who said he got a pay-off of N500,000 after working for 15 years.

Yes, you heard me right I called him a bloody liar cos that's what he is

Instead of him to admit that he was heavily indebted as at the time of his disengagement he's making it seem as if the company shortchanged him

Ignorant people just come to social media and write trash!
You are a Shipopotamus n a bloody liar who does not have any fact but just condemn another. Can you call any ex Baker Hughes staff to confirm what I am telling you. My info is from the horse''s mouth. This is an America company not an India or Chinese company defrauding Nigerians and you are here defending them.

I totally agree with you. No need to give a Bleep since it does not affect us. However, you will be amazed by the number of Nigerians that will come out after the success of this case. They go home empty after putting their lives on the line for this companies. Our problem as a nation has been me, myself and I along tribe and religion.

Is a severance package included in the letter of employment? Most likely they are third party staffs paid by an outsourcing company, they may have to deal with their paymasters.
The terms of those in same geo-market may not be same as Nigeria, no need for the sentiment. By the way why protest in Enugu?
They were full staffs. The court case is at the industrial court Enugu. Check the pix again. They are sueing Baker for voilating the nigerian labour law.

BAKER HUGHES is a scam company. My friend worked there for 15 years. His position was declared redundant and he was dropped from service with a paltry sum of 500,00 naira in this recession. Good people of Nigeria, is that a redundancy / benefit package? See the kind of evil some companies perpetrate in Nigeria. And to think that they do this to 219 Nigerians is despicable. No wonder the recession is even biting very hard in Nigeria.
