Culture / Re: Igbo-ona, Ijebu-igbo, Igbomina: Are Yoruba's Historically Tied To Igbo's by Frankdoz3: 12:05pm On Jun 19, 2019
engreo:
Every town and villages was once a bush or forest, and Yoruba people were known for naming their town and villages after the nature or their first experiences at their place of settlement. What can you say about igbo-irumole or oke-igbo, igbo-oloyin, igbo-ora, are they making references to igbo tribe too?
why Ooni now linking Yoruba's to Igbo. The truth is Yoruba's are sub-decendants of Igbo's.

That does NOT necessarily mean that references to 'Igbo' in Yoruba ALWAYS denotes the bush. They could infer some historical connection to the Igbo people or ethnic group.
thank you very much. How can Igbo translate to bush in Yoruba and they still buoyantly attach it to their town. Now imagine: oke-Igbo(oke-bush), ijebu-igbo(ijebu-bush). This will amount to Yoruba's insulting themselves by calling their town bush. Just like Ooni of ile-ife earlier said; there's strong historical connection between Igbo and youruba. Yoruba's are invariably descendants of Igbo's.

Like you haven’t heard of Oke Igbo?

Igbo in Yoruba means forest

Moreover, the People raiding Ife and claimed to have founded Ife aren’t Igbo, but Ugbo people now in Ondo state (having Obateru Akinruntan “Obat” as the king) who were the aborigens of Ife then
you can twist history, Ooni of ife, the Paramount ruler of ife kingdom made it clear Igbo founded ile-ife, how come your saying otherwise! Are now more historic than Ooni?

how can great Igbo race which Ooni of ife loves so much only translates to forest in Yoruba, I smell lie here.

I have realised unusual attachment or prefixation of the word"Igbo" to some Yoruba towns. Igbo-ona is a very good example, a sub cultural and ethnic Yoruba scattered across present day osun and ekiti state. We may also take notice if another ancient Yoruba town "ijebu-igbo" located in Ogun state. Other Yoruba/Igbo towns include, igbomina town/tribe, Igbo-ona, igbo-ijesha, igbo-orangun, igbo-igbaja, located mostly in ekiti state. Ooni of ife, a prominent Yoruba ruler, in recent time has continue to stress the historical tie between Yoruba and Igbo. Could yoruba's be sub-decendants of Igbo's?

Politics / Meet @ife Dare, A Yoruba Man That Loves Nnamdi Kanu More Than Igbo's (pics) by Frankdoz3: 8:28am On Jun 19, 2019
A yoruba man @Ifa Dare wrote

They wanted to know why I have a profound respect for Kanu and IPOB even though Kanu insulted the Yoruba on many occasions. Well, it's because I have the emotional intelligence to deal with empty rhetoric. I can separate harmless verbal invectives from lethal act of betrayal and lethal terrorist actions.

1. Kanu and IPOB didn't betray Afonja.
2. Kanu and IPOB didn't install an Eze or Obi in Ilorin.
3. Kanu and IPOB did not deny Brigadier. Ogundipe presidency.
4. Kanu and IPOB did not humiliate Awolowo.
5. Kanu and IPOB did not humiliate GEN. Oladipo Diya.
6. Kanu and IPOB did not assassinate Kudirat Abiola.
7. Kanu and IPOB did not deny Abiola his mandate nor did they murder Abiola for demanding for his mandate.
8. Kanu and IPOB have never taken up arms against the Oodua nation.
9. Kanu and IPOB do not support NGR's growth retarding, parasitic unitary system.
10. Kanu and IPOB courageously seek for self-determination from the colonial plantation called NGR.

Everything Kanu says, about the colonial failed state of NGR, is 1000% true. And if it takes verbal invectives and the use of derogatory adjectives to pass his message across, then so be it.

Biafra: Kanu ramps up diplomatic push for Biafra referendum, urged Biafrans to keep faith

- Gets a huge warm welcoming in California

As our leader Mazi Nnamdi Kanu and his team continue the tour of USA and Canada with emphasis on diplomatic overtures and rallying the Biafran base to restore Biafra within the shortest possible time, we the worldwide family of the Indigenous People of Biafra commend the family of California for the rousing welcome and support given to our indomitable leader during the town-hall meeting held on the 15th of June in Los Angeles.

Biafrans across the USA and Canada have been re-energised with the message of hope and restoration which has not only captivated Biafran audiences who are fortunate enough to attend these events, but has permeated the subconscious of every black African who has come into contact with this message of redemption as evidenced by the high number of goodwill messages received by our leader from non Biafrans.

Biafrans across the west coast of the USA have publicly pledged their moral and material support for Biafra restoration as piloted by IPOB and we promise to do all we can to restore Biafra at the earliest possible opportunity by the grace of Almighty God.

Many more IPOB family meetings, influential individuals and diaspora organisations are queuing up to host our leader in various cities across the United States. The next stop for our leader Mazi Nnamdi Kanu will be the city of Houston Texas on the 21st of June 2019, where we expect Biafrans and non-Biafrans alike to gather to welcome and listen to him preach the gospel of the restoration of Biafra at a town-hall meeting.

After Houston Texas our leader will visit Chicago to meet Biafrans in the State of Illinois. From there he will proceed to New York where he will round up the tour.

Breaking.......
All 140 IPOB Activists Regains Freedom, As Court Releases Last Batch Of 75

The Indigenous People Of Biafra records another historical victory, as the last batch of Seventy Five activists out of 140 regains her freedom, since the court orders the 140 be released in Two Batches.
Recall that, 65 activists were first released on Thursday 13 June, 2019, from Enugu Prisons and the relentless IPOB vigorously fought to endeavor the rest Seventy Five regains freedom on Friday, the 14th Of June, 2019.

The 140 IPOB activists were granted Bail by Enugu State Magistrate Court presided by Her Lordship Choke on the 7th Of June, 2019, without the arraignment of the defendants and prosecuting counsel in Court.
The Prosecuting counsel who did not not file any application or provide to the court exhibits buttressing the warped and falacious charges against the defendants, sent a none legal representative to excuse the court of inability to provide the accused persons in court, as the Prison official ASP Emmanuel Udeh informed the Court the accused persons were not provided due to inefficient security backups and logistics.

After several arguments by IPOB Legal counsels, the Court grants Bail and ruled:

"After hearing the counsels on the first day of arraignment, the 140 defendants were remanded in Prisons, on the charges of treasonable felony.
The defendants have conducted themselves civily and has never gotten involved in any illicit acts. The defendants have been remanded for 14days and there is no evidential proof to buttress their claims.
An accused is not guilty until proven one.
Therefore, The Court grants Bail to the 140 accused persons, in
The like sum of One Million Naira, A business Man with goods worth One Million Naira with evidence of tax clearance to Surety ten persons or Surety with Landed Properties worth one Million Naira or a Civil Servant not less than level ten with evidence of tax clearance.
Both the Surety and accused persons shall submit full length of photographs to the court.

The Bail conditions were dully perfected by IPOB, hence the release of the activists.
The first batch of Sixty Five activists released from prisons, also stormed the court in high spirit, so to welcome other comrades. The screams of Freedom and Celebration its being heared everywhere. The activists appreciates the asidous efforts of IPOB Leadership and her arm of Legal Team, for proving that Biafra Nation is the Hope to mankind and will be a positive reference point of the World.

Politics / UN Diplomat Advices Nnamdi Kanu Ahead Of His Invitation To UN Summit by Frankdoz3: 8:40am On Jun 15, 2019
INAUGURATION OF BIAFRA GOVERNMENT AND IT'S RELEVANT CABINET BEFORE THE UPCOMING UN SUMMIT, IS A VITAL SIGNPOST--SAYS DIPLOMAT

The prevalent heightened ovation of the global community concerning the agitation for Biafra independence is really heartwarming. The momentum being generated via the resilient diplomatic voyage/offensive tours across the globe by Mazi Nnamdi Kanu, the highly intelligent and courageous leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) worldwide, suggest a possible inauguration of Biafra government with it's relevant cabinet, prior to the convocation of United Nations General Assembly on September 2019. That will not only provoke diplomatic stampede on Nigeria but also serve as a very vital milepost as Mazi Nnamdi Kanu gracefully honors the United Nations invitation during the upcoming convention. Classified information obtained from a diplomatic stalwart, proves that there exists recipes for diplomatic explorations which the IPOB leadership must have to harness, prior to the visit of Mazi Nnamdi Kanu to the United Nations. One of such recipes include the inauguration of a government by the secessionist movement even if it turns out to be a government in exile.

According to the diplomat, the formation of the Biafra shadow government will definitely open up a new vista of diplomatic argument around the world regarding the Biafra restoration question prior to the United Nations General Assembly in the forthcoming convention. Another submission which revolves around the visit of the IPOB leader and his contingent to the General Assembly, is the attraction of an unprecedented prestige. This of course will have the IPOB contingent honoring that high profile invitation with the IPOB leader as the Biafran envoy to be seen and recognized for what it truly represents rather than being interpreted/regarded as leaders of a Pro-Biafran group. The diplomat also stated that since Biafrans maintain unflinching loyalty to the present crop of IPOB leadership in all policy designs and implementation, it will be advantageous for the leadership to aptly inaugurate a shadow government. This when formed, policy designs, directions, statements and implementations will start coming from the government even if it is operating from exile, rather than such policies being carried out by what is referred to as leadership of a secessionist group.

Considering the reality of the above analysis, it becomes necessary therefore, for the Biafra shadow government to be unveiled without delay. The urgency attached no matter it's source of origin, is fundamentally to accelerate the Biafra agitation from the realm of legitimacy question to that of the argument of constitutionality of the government, before the global community. Therefore, it is incumbent upon the IPOB leadership to get a shadow government duly inaugurated and which will start running the government of Biafra and issuing government-based policy directions that will always slightly constitute a rebellion against the occupational Nigerian Islamic government. Formation of Biafra government will be one of the greatest achievements in the restoration struggle that has the capacity and capability of raising dust on the floor of the United Nations General Assembly come September 2019. It is a moment, very exceptionally being anticipated.
