Business / Re: Can Two People In Different Countries Enter A Partnership? Please Help by Frenchkiss564: 8:57am On Dec 25, 2017
Uchenaija:

IF I understand, we can enter an electronic partnership agreement.

The business is based in Nigeria so I guess the jurisdiction to handle dispute would be Nigeria.

Can you explain a little what you mean by arbitration clause?

Apart from the legal backing of signing agreement, that means the partner outside the country would only count on trust to receive his profits from the business, is it?

Because of the tedious and time consuming nature of trials in the traditional court systems, alternative dispute resolution was introduced and for it to be valid it is always advisable for parties to put it expressly in their partnership agreement that in case of dispute they need not go to court, both parties can agree on arbitrators to use. Lagos for instance has an arbitration house.

And the partner abroad can appoint an agent here in Nigeria to receive his profit for him, banks acts in this capacity.

Partnership agreement entered electronically is binding.

With my little knowledge of the Law it is very possible you enter into partnership business with a partner outside Nigeria that's one of the advantages of the Internet.

However it is expedient you put in your partnership agreement the jurisdiction that would handle disputes is it Nigeria where you are resident or where your partner resides.

In situations like this your surest bet is to put arbitration clause in your agreements.

my room mate in the University was Busari, so I already know that name. It was Buhari I saw, in fact if not that they were looking at me with sharp eyes, I already brought out my phone to snap it.

Buhari is an Arab / Muslim name and not reserved for hausa and fulanis. There are even Arab Christians that bear Buhari.

Buhari is in the same class with Sulaiman, Afeez, Muhammad and other Muslim names

Nihilist:
It's a Yeezus jacket - Made by a rich black man and worn by another rich black man.

Theres a level of money you accrue in life, when racism and racist symbols literally mean nothing to you.

Every single person moaning about this issue needs to understand that Davido will probably never be a victim of racism...
anybody can be a victim of racism, as big as Michael Jackson was he was once a victim of racism, Oprah Winfrey with all her money was once a victim ...

I inherited colonisation bro.
I was flogged to learn the language of the colonial masters just like the Northern kids are forced to learn Arabic, the language of those who conquered them.

In school, I was asked to draw hoe and define farming. It made it appear as if I was learning something.

Today, our generation cannot produce our own food because we read Literature in Agriculture rather than studying Agriculture. We can't produce our food because we are "educated".

Our system of government and choosing of leaders were removed while theirs was imposed on us.

Today, we kill one another over the drag for leadership position.

It is terrible.
thumbs up sir, you're very intelligent embarassed

For how long?
i dont want to believe these guys are so powerful because of the hausa/fulani political hegemony if that were to be the case the killings should at least slow down during GEJ's regime

If only nigerians are quick to condemn these fulani herdsmen in their wantom display of cruelty like we condemn the xenophobia of SA things wouldnt have gone as bad as this. It seems nigerians are used to these killings but why is it that it is only nigerian fulani herdsmen that display this cruelty their counterpart accross the boarder are peace loving people

Relax Dude.

All these you are hearing are some crap. Let INEC tell you results, not some block-headed Igbos. ...and BE REST ASSURED, if an Ibo wins any seat in that Lagos, MARK MY WORDS, we have a way of dealing with such unhealthy situation. If we cant rig the result like they do in SE, we will definitely rig the fellow himself (you know what I mean by "rig the fellow) and bring our own son in.
i sincerely hope so, why the hell did pdp field an ibo candidate in the first instance
