The atmosphere in Ajayi Crowther university presently is very tense,the student are set to riot tomorrow if the VC refuses to attend correctly to their plead. A situation occurred on 8th April 2017 late night around 9pm which the student poured water on their VC.

What lead to the occurrence was an early riot which happened among the students . When the VC came to resolve the issue the student said they did not want to listen to him that he has turn them to a puppet because the had some rules which the student hate to follow.

Before when the VC came,some student were already making steps to settle the riot as soon as the arrival of the VC the atmosphere became more tense.

Students claimed that they have been turned to a puppet. The VC made some rules which are socially not measurable which may affect the lifestyle of the student even after school life. It was learnt that occasionally that the VC keeps making laws which do not suite the student.

Some laws are stated below:

1.NO STUDENT TO BE SEEN IN THE CAMPUS AFTER 9PM IN THE CAMPUS.

2.NO READING SHOULD BE DONE IN CLASSES AFTER 7PM.

3.NO BOY AND GIRL SHOULD BE CAUGHT GISTING IN THE NIGHT.

4.DINNER NIGHT SHOULD BE HELD IN THE AFTER NOON.

5.THE VC FORMERLY CANCELLED EASTER BREAK(for a christian school)before the stood for themselves before he changed his decision.

7.DEPARTMENTAL WEEK HAS BEEN CANCELLED.

Most of laws made by the VC were analysed to majorly to destroy someones social life and there are no available facilities to follow the laws. The student are strictly mandated to put on “TIE” during lecture hours which the weather is mostly sunny in the after noon and neither “Fan” nor “Air Conditional” are present in their class room after paying an huge amount of school fees and if they are caught they ask to pay a certain amount of money.

Recently, the hostel and school fees were separated which all the hostels charge the same amount. They are ask to pay an huge amount 52,500 per semester {app. 6months} which 4 students will share(the four student pay #52,500 equals #210,000). Where in Lagos can you rent a house which there is no constant water, no constant electricity (the student said the they do have electricity 1hour in the morning, 4hours in the night,sometimes the school refuse to pay the NEPA bill) dirty toilet and the room which is not renovated for #210,00 in 6month.

The student do not only complain of that, they also complain that the hall supervisor and potters are not paid adequately for their work done.Were are the funds going to?

The student in the hostel of where the incident occurred are mandated to vacate before 4pm tomorrow to another hostel which they will be re-allocated. They student presently do not want to follow the order so they decided on begging or riot. They decide to beg the VC by tomorrow(4/11) if the VC do not agree to the plead they will embark on riot.

The decision made by the VC are said not be like what he may think. The decision were analyse by some student they decision can cause the shutdown of the school. AKINOLA HOSTEL( the hostel of the incident) and ALETILOYE HOSTEL WHICH THEY ARE ASK TO MOVE TO ARE NOT IN GOOD TERMS. The two hostel are said to be different in the way of their doings AKINOLA HOSTEL is less tense and ALETILOYE HOSTEL is more tense if both are join together may naturally cause riot in the school.

This is not a surprise to the occurrence of riot in AJAYI CROWTHER UNIVERSITY, the school is the first private University to riot in 2012.
